Good morning Rockstars! Rebecca, so sorry about your Mom's accident. That is a horrible story. I hope the driver of the truck has been appropriately punished. He should not be driving for a very long time. Sorry about your aunt. Your Mom has lots of courage, God Bless her.

Hubby made his famous meatloaf again this weekend. Geez,I hope my wi shows some kind of loss. I never seem to do well after eating some of his meatloaf. I had a small piece.

I just think that I need to get back to basic clean eating. The best idea I have heard lately (from our guru Reg) was to use my daily points for food that is healthy and on plan and use weekly points (35 a wk) for any extras such as 100 cal snacks. (Hershey's choc pretzels 2pts per pack)

I think I need to make that a personal goal. I need more than 10 cents for that. ha ha ha

Happy Monday Rockstars!

Nothing new to report. Would love to hit 80#'s on Saturday, however, that might be a smidge unrealistic. So, I'm shooting for a 1 # loss for the week.

I weigh in on Wednesday and Monday is the last day of......red meat, soup, chinese food (rarely anyway) and pizza (rare), or eating out. I cannot handle being up a pound or two and those foods do it for me. The majority of the problem is salt and water retention on those items. I forget why the red meat, but that's the story and I'm sticking with it

Many years ago while doing Atkins I bought 2 pairs of LEVIs on clearance. They were $10 each. They're a size 17 JUNIORS....really low rise. When I bought them, they didnt fit, but I couldnt pass up the bargain.

Long story short, they were never worn.

I took them out of storage today and THEY FIT

I will of course make sure my belly is covered at all times......it aint a pretty sight.

I've been giving away all my bigger clothes to a friend that is inbetween sizes. Feels so good to get rid of the stuff......because.......I AM NEVER GOING TO FIT INTO THEM AGAIN.

Reg you are right....it is quiet in here today.

I am training my replacement so I will be busy during the day all week. I am then off for the weekend and start my new job on Monday. I would imagine I will be busy then too learning a new system but hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to sneak in during the day.

Weigh-in is tomorrow night

I bought the "eating out Guide" at my ww meeting for fun..but was amazed at how helpful it has been. I keep it in the car..and it has local restaurants and then chain favorites. It even has several pages on Starbucks ( because I never know what I can have, and am embarrassed to ask!) it basically gives you the good, bad and ugly points for the main foods at each of the restaurants or fast food joints. I think it was $9.99 and well worth it!

Do you guys have regular doctors? have they been supportive of WW? I am really about to attempt to go get another doctor. I've had the one I have now for like 10 years...and she seem to either be burnt out, or tired of me. I get zero help from her regarding my health. Recently she suggested to start using an otc progesterone cream. I started using one and had some questions. I e-mailed her and she said " Sorry, I really know nothing about progesterone cream" What?? Anyway..was curious what your experience with doctors and woman stuff.

Ok..now will catch-up with all the good stuff in here! You people are gabby!

We had a big festival at my job on Sunday. I managed to not only avoid all the junk food...but packed my food and ate all my daily points. major success. The bad news is..after I left work..there was a gang shooting! one of the victims, who was shot in the face, ended up right in front of my store! Not real fun going to work and having to step around yellow tape and jump over the chalk outlines of bullet casings!

Reg..I would love it if we all could take a day or two and post our menus. I love seeing what you use your points on..and having more peoples menus would be a great help for me..and probably others ( like Melly?) What do you think?

P.S. Rebecca, I had no idea what had happened to your mom and Auntie! ( It must have been before I entered this group) I am so so so sorry sweetie. I now take care of my aging mom..and love her to pieces. So much so that we built a house next door so she is just a few steps away. I lost my dad when I was just 16..so my mom means the world to me. Taking care of aging or injured parents can be a huge challenge. So make sure to also take good care of yourself. Also, when your having a hard time with her..remember that your teaching YOUR kids how to treat YOU when your older That thought always gives me a little extra patience on difficult days
