I've been gaining weight on my low carb diet

Monday will make 2 weeks for me.. I'm doing a variant of the Metabolic/Ketogenic diet called the Anabolic Diet (they're all similar). Tonight is supposed to be my first refeed - but I'm very weary of going that route being that I've gained a couple of pounds since I started. However, is this out of the question at this point?

I'm waiting for two injuries to heal before I get any exercise - ankle and shoulder.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...

It is my understanding that the Ketogenic diet is for regular exercisers. When an injury occurs than I would think you would need to return to a low carb only plan. You may consider spending a week to get your body into ketosis, low carb/lower calories with more protein to make you feel full along with a lot of water, usually takes about 3 days for ketosis to set in, you can buy the keto sticks from Walmart or health food store, once in ketosis your body is back to burning fat and cravings are gone. Just a suggestion...but refeeding and not working out = weight gain. Good luck.

Thank you. I notice I'm in ketosis now - and I've been slowly losing some weight.. I should be back in the gym very shortly.. Maybe even by the end of this week...
