Fasting.
hi
today I started fast-5 diet. that site is on here too. Its hard to tell you about but I'm sure you know what site if you have been here awhile. I was thinking of doing a juice fast for couple days#3 days I brought a jack lalanne juicer and I love it. Juice is fresh no added sugars.{Clean} I love the carrot and apples. But also thought of doing veg. juice too. Today I had soup.at 1pm and 4;30pm had salad and a yogurt. Now I'm done. What they call a window. Mine is 12-5 or 1pm -6. then after that time i top. But will have ice tea {Plain and diet Pop. I go to curves to.4-5 days week. If you want to I will do few days of juice fasting? Maybe we can help each other. I think it is good to get books and read on fasting . I have done a true fast years ago up to 6 days. But I really like the 3 days. I think if you can make it -3days you start to feel better. Let me know if you like to be buddies for at least this week. Kind. |

Ok so today and tomorrow leading up to my fast, I'm taking Milk Thistle to start cleansing my liver.
Just bought the stuff for my liquid fast, its all organic.. Grapefruit juice cranberry juice vegetable juice and low sodium chicken broth and French onion soup Hope that fills me up! |

Hi
Glad to be doing this together. So when do we start juicing? I will have to wait at least tomorrow for I had soup today and 2 rice cakes. I was going to have carrot and apple juice for diner tonight but think I will wait till we both get on this. I know when i done a true fast before the first 3 days are the hardest. But after that and you like to keep going another day or so I think you will also feel good and tell a diff. Just take it easy first day to see how you do. Have you done this before ? I think to weigh after 3 days?? also don't go right into reg. eating after a fast. Take it slowand keep meals light. I least that's what i have done. I'm also try if. diet and so far good. But since you would like fasting I will do that with you. Lets post when we can/ Kind |

I've tried many times, but was never able to make it past the first day. Mostly cause I needed energy for work or it just made me feel sick.
This time I have 3 days off from work, I'm planning on just staying home and watching movies, I'll probably start the first day off with a little walking on the treadmill and sitting in a sauna to help sweat out the impurities. I'm also gonna get a massage or two, to help get stuff moving out as well. We start tomorrow! I'll weigh in the morning tomorrow, then not again til saturday. IF I feel good enough I might do it saturday too, though I do have to work, so it will probably be liquids with more susbstance, like Slim fast or Soy Milk. I have a pretty physical job and HAVE to have energy to get thru my shift. Sunday is my birthday party, so I know I won't be able to make it thru that day without fasting.

OK. starting tomorrow.
Now be careful in the hot tub. You might feel dizzy. First day is the hardest .. You might also feel cold. Also you can try veg juice. Fresh if you can. I'm watching the biggest loser. Just love that show. If you have a blender you can put tomatoes and other veg. in and little water or fat free broth and drink that. I will weigh tomorrow too.and then sat. Be careful on your eating if you can.or maybe really watch it for few days so your body will be back at losing. I was reading my Jack lalanee juicing recipe book. if you need some recipes that are easy I think u should be able to put in blenderor Walmart has a juicer that you can try. and take back if you don't like it. Like i said i love apple and carrot juice. but have to try other things as well. Mostly veg. for less sugar. Talk tomorrow. I'm going to cleanse my body too.but I really going to be doing exerice and curves to help. But fasting goes easier if you can stay home and take it from there. good Luck. |

im just peeking....I am diabetic so I cant do any kind of juice fast..but I have done water fasts in the past....good luck ladies

As you know first day or so is the hardest. I have the jack lalane jucier and really like it.Well most likely do carrot and apple together and do veg. juice too. Come on in Deb. and keep us going. I don't really think of this as a juice fast, As I'll probably mostly be drinking clear soups. I thrive on warm foods like soup.
I've never made it past the first day, so thats my biggest challenge. I also am a BIG caffeine Addict and won't be drinking any caffeine thru this either, so I know I am just gonna be miserable tomorrow. I have a massage scheduled for 2pm and am trying to find an appointment for Colonics, I think that will really help detox as well. |

Ok so far so good.
Upon waking I weighed in and then had a small glass of organic veggie juice. Shortly after had a shot of "greens" and made some organic Egg Flower Soup. Will probably repeat the same for lunch. Gonna try to get in some grapefruit juice inbetween. |

I also did my weigh in. just made my carrot and apple juice.
going to go to store and get more carrotts and apples and veg. Go work out later. I hope to lose3lbs buy my weigh in.Sat. going to get green tea and also have that.{Plain Just might look into some fat free broth .What is Green stuff?? I have to take my Vits. too. |

I just came back from curves. Before I left I made another glass of juice. This time with blue berries @apple. that was great.
I got to looking after you wrote about Source of life/ I have some samples.of their vit. pills.and one called Yellow lighting.and see that I have a package of source of life rainbow whole food.you mix in water or juice. Have you heard of that? I'm wanting in ways something else but like I said first day is hardest. Think tomorrow I will have some fresh veg. juice but mix it with no fat broth. that might help.One hard thing to do for me is Not get on scale.How are you doing? Hope fine.Anytime you need to write feel free. We are doing this. Hope the scale will be good to us. Boy Sat. seems like a Long way. .Kind Think I will do some ab. crushes. And then read. |

Im having a hard time last few hours. I really want to eat. BUT No I wont. I just have to tell self it will be hard 1stday and maybe tomorrow.
I made some veg. broth and had that. Nice and hot. Tomowrro will have more juice and broth as day goes on. Im going to make tea tonight so I can have some. Just wanted to say hi. talk tomowrro. nd dont worry Im not eating and staying right with you. Sat. can not come to soon. I can not belive that years ago that I did fasting up to 6 days . I must have been nuts. ha. Have a good one. Hope it goes easier for us. |

Im doing a little better but I must saylast few hrs. hard. I hope tomoorwo will be better. I think it will be. I kinda have a little headache.and Im little cold. I did have tea. Hope you will feel much better then to day. You know if I remember right I seem to do better on day 2-3. hope the scale will show us pitty.do you think?ha I find that if I read books like dieting or something it helps. I used to have a good fasting book but I must have thrown out on a bad fasting day. ha. Also now when we go back to eating we have to watch. because our body can gain. I know you said you have abirthday coming and time to party. But do be somewhat careful and then the rest of week be caredul.It is easier to do when u know someone at other end is doing same.and we can writeand throw fits. Nice to get a pat on back too. I had some protein, yes a small cheat, but I'm feeling a little bit better.
Evenings are always hard for me. Everytime I've tried before, I've made it til night time, then went crazy and pigged out. Blah, I'm soo weak. Hopefully if I feel better tomorrow, I'll be stronger. |

joining for a small fast
I've been looking to do one all this summer. I tried to do a week long veggie/fruit juice fast but only made it a couple of days. I'm in dire need of detoxing. Suffering bad with fibromyalgia. I'm hoping this can be a kickstart to a healthier lifestyle (and definitely hoping it'll help with the pain). So I'll be starting tomorrow, goal is for a 3 day juice fast.

You just have to set mind and really fight it. Keep posting on how you are doing.It helps when you have buddies to talk to.In half hr. First of all my key broad is sticking so some words are not right. I see Lori that we have another fasting buddy. soon will make juice. Nights are hard for me too. I really had to fight myself on not eating. But I won. Hope today will be easier. As I remember it will be. That's OK if you had protein.I'm sure not that much.YOU did good,and still a fast. Maybe if you have a food processor or blender you can get {light. veg. soup blend that along with fat free broth and salt free.{ Put more {broth in{ It will add more veg.. in and taste better. YOU Think???I don't think that is a no no. DO You??? and as u pour it in cup> you can add little water and more broth. going to exerice today.You know to a short walk is good too. I have house work to get donebefore I make juice. I really like that juicer. Have a good fasting day. talk later. Kind. |

I just made my carrot and apple juice. Nice big. glass. Feel better.
Now will have ice tea as day goes on. Have to make diner for hubby. So guess I will smell chicken. ha It is funny when I first fastyears ago for 5 days and kids were little. I lost then.11lbs. But that was younger days. ha. You know I feft great when I was making food. and I didn't eat. But just smells and being around food helped me. Boy that makes no sense. ha But back them I was on water and some broth. This time I thought juice and Veg. broth would be better. I wished I had that fasting book. I liked reading that when I was on it. For some reason it helped. So far I think today will be easier. But of course Not night yet. all depends on how I feel at end but I might keep going till Monday. That way I can do if she needs buddy. But we will see. And how scale does. Then Monday I will go back to site on If.and get that going again. But any time you like to do a day fast or so.I will too , But that is down road. Just gettingthrough Sat. You can and will do this. Think of me at other end. so no cheats.Ha. |

Hi. I just had a cup of veg. broth. Went to curves. Now going to read. Hubby is working over.So I dont need to cook.So I take it you didnt care for Coconut oil? Was it more like lardin a jar.?
Did alittle bit of weights.5lbs. Not much else. I feel better then yesterday. How are you doing??Hope better. Keep it up. Looks like we might get another faster tomoorow. |
