Hey All..

Ok..so had my first " slip" yesterday since starting ww. My Hubby decided to bbq ( and he cooks enough for about 6 families) he makes/made the most amazing marinated skinless chicken thighs ( have never had any chicken better) pork ribs, sausage. Plus he made his famous potato salad. I made a big fruit salad, portabello mushrooms and a side salad for me.

So ok..I started out already being too hungry....not smart. I had a piece of chicken, salad, fruit 1 very very small rib ( end piece) and a small scoop of potato salad. Then..of course my old downfall..as I cleaned up the mess, I caught myself taking a bite here and there..until I was soooo full I could hardly stand! I have no idea how many more points I had..but it was not good ladies. I am simply going to re-dedicate myself today and move on. It's frustrating as my loss is already so slow...I might even gain this week now.

Anyway..last day of my vacation so I am not going to beat myself-up. Simply take a big breath and move on.

P.S. Did I mention TOM is due..Ugg..never good with my food the 1-2 days before!

Just start anew today, Lisa Rae. It's all a matter of learning from your slip ups. If we hadn't had many slip ups along the way we would all be a size 6, but then we wouldn't have all become friends either. And hey, this is Monday, the perfect "start my diet over" day. Drink lots of water cuz that will help flush things through.

I am on my way to PATP's. I'm on my first 32 oz today. I just got up a little over an hour ago. Late start, was up late last night. NO one in the house to tell me to go to bed and no one to coax he awake. Had both cats in the bed with me, one on each side when I woke up. They were against my body like bandaids. Couldn't turn either way, so I slithered down the bed and out from between them. LOL. And they didn't help me by moving either!!! Both looked at me like "where are you going???"

Going to straighten up my kitchen, then go try to find mom some sweatshirt jackets. Then go visit her, THEN come home and CLEAN the kitchen.

Everyone have a good and safe holiday. Can't believe it's back to work tomorrow, this weekend flew by. I always think it's going to suck with DH being gone to Canada and before you know it, it's time for him to come back. Still got lots of cleaning to do before he comes home.

Eating not been good since Thursday I have had only milkshakes from Mickey D's and diet cokes. SEVERAL times a day. I can only have food that goes thru a straw since my lip procedure Thursday. I am sure I could be more creative but it has been fast ,a no brainer and does not hurt. I could stand nothing that would have salt. My lips hurt. The crap I do for vanity and growing old not so gracefully.

I had done so good last week on plan but new I would be on shakes this week. I do like slimfast shakes or any of the weight loss beverage.

I only have to use the straw until Friday then back to eating utensils.

Just a few suggestions...since I went through gum surgery last year..

1. Protein shakes ( you can add a raw egg in for extra calories or fruit for more fiber)
2. pudding ( maybe through a straw)
3. soup pureed..
4. in a few more days : Soft boiled eggs, oatmeal, soup with noodles, apple sauce.

Hope you feel better soon!

p.s. Tried egg beaters for the first time ( today) and have to say, not bad at all. I made 1/4 cup..added a dash or salsa and 1oz of cheese. I put it on top of a ww english muffin for a total of 3 points. It was really great!

Marking my place! Had kind of an off-track weekend and TOM will be here ADN...Question for the meeting ladies - if you KNOW you're going to see a gain, do you always opt-out of WI? Between TOM and this weekend, I'm almost positive there will be a gain...I don't know if I should just sit this one out, or "man up" and acknowledge the gain. What say ye?

I may be too new to answer ( though this is how I would have done it when on Atkins as well)
I say go weigh-in. But before you do..get your head in a good mental place. Know that you probably will see a gain..but hold yourself accountable. I never got that mentality that people had after a cheat or re-induction and not weighing for a week. I mean when I cheated..I made myself get on the scale the next day to see the reality of what I had done.

Besides..you just never know. I believe TOM starts today for me..and I knew last week I had been on vacation..had not exercised like normal..and was hungry constantly. Still..I ended-up making myself weight-in and still lost a tiny bit ( .2 lbs) in my head..that was a successful week!

Reg had a similar experience last week too.

Again, Just my opinion.

If I'm having a bad time with eating, weigh ins seem to get me back on track, cuz it's a good "start-over". I have to agree with Lisa Rae on this one, honey.

And, I use to think that I would love to be TOM free, but since starting to go through menopause, I do miss them cuz sometimes it helped to at least lose some water weight. Now it's harder than before so if I can give you younger ones any suggestions, it's to lose the weight and get to goal BEFORE you go into menopause. Also, the older you get, the more chance of getting things like hypothyroidism and diabetes that makes losing harder too. Not impossible, just harder.

If you took the Hungry Girl Poll, what did you think of this question?

Good morning (almost afternoon) all! Hope you guys had an on-plan weekend - I know I didn't - but thanks for the input, I'm gonna try to drink all my water, workout regardless, and go to the meeting AND WI - might as well face facts! And you never know, I might have a pattern where I'm up every TOM or something, there's more to it than the scale. Thanks again for the feedback and good vibes, and good luck to all the Tuesday weighers!

Good morning everyone, I haven't been able to log online due to the weather here in Mississippi. We had such a heavy cloud cover and with the wind my satellite internet was not working properly. We got part of Gustav yesterday and today we still have a lot of rain.
Monday 64oz
Tuesday 70oz so far
Have a great day!
