At the party last night, somewhere between Jack Daniels and the gin and tonics, we got to reminiscing about Mom and what a wonderful cook she was. Oh my goodness! The things that woman used to make! Yes, she had made homemade crackers for us. Better than any cheez-its they sell in stores! That was what she did ... cooked ... and baked ...

And, if we had a bad day, a good day, a boring day, or any kind of day, she rewarded us or consoled us with ... you guessed it! Food! And lots of it!

I sometimes wonder how I got to be the way I am.

Oh! And I just had a yummy core lunch of chicken with a slice of FF swiss cheese and a salad, and I put some stuff together in the crock pot for a stew for dinner. I hope it turns out ... I'm still learning about this whole slow cooker thing. LOL

I can't do ff cheese so I just stay away from it....but I love the crockpot!

Your never a downer or party pooper. That is what we are here. We are here for each other. We all have issues with food if we did not we would not be here.

The one good thing about the weight issue is all the wonderful supportive friends I have met here.

I spend have my week drag behind the wagon after I fall off. I need rails on that damn wagon.
