So, rocking my garage sale today, sold over $900 worth of stuff. I'd call it crap, but it wasn't really crap, just stuff not needed in my house. I'm way up this week between going away party at work and stuff, well, I'm not making excuses.

It's been a sad week. I'm selling the nursery in my garage sale...everything is new and priced to sell and some ********s are still trying to deal me down on prices for brand new baby stuff. Haven't done it, not going to do it. I'll donate it to charity before I'll take $1.00 for a $50 item.

Hi Ladies,

I had a good week so far, except for munching,[mindless binging], after dinner. I'm getting lasik eye surgery done a week tomorrow, but I'm stressing out about it because my family doesn't approve and they tried to convince me to get these disposible contacts for $100 dollars, and they don't know that I'm actually getting the procedure done on July 18 @ 9 am in the morning. LOL. Dr. Joseph King is doing the procedure, [who has done over 50,000 procedures with clearly lasik; I've done the research], and I'm sure I will be in good hands, but I feel guilty and that's why I binged tonight.

My bosses and co-workers are cheering me on and other people are interested in getting it done as well. They are waiting to see how things go with me first though. I'm the ginny pig!!! But, why is it that my sister and mom are not standing by me in all this. It makes me annoyed that as the youngest in my family, I have to always prove myself to them. They don't trust my judgement and my mom wants me to consult my sister first before I do anything. Man, I'm 45 and they still think I'm not capable of making my own decisions at this age?? It makes me mad. [actually I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this point]. Sorry, I had to vent. I will get over it!!! I will do better tomorrow and not binge now that I've vented. I tend to hold things in until I burst. Any comments?? What do you all think??

You'll have a great night,

First of all, congrats on the lasik! I'm jealous...went about 9 years ago to go have the procedure done and found out I was a reject for the surgery. ????

Obviously you are capable of your own decisions. Sounds like your mother and sister are jealous and controlling. Jealous perhaps they would like to have the procedure done themselves but are too scared to do so, hence, they will criticize your decision.

Controlling, well, that speaks for itself.

I'm glad you're doing your own thing, and what a great thing that is! I've heard nothing but fabulous things from people who have had this procedure done!

I'll pop in when I land in Seattle tonight!
My drama is always eating healthy at the airport. Today I'm packing 3 ziplocks of fruit and healthy snacks.

Pammy, thanks so much for your support!!! That means so much to me and I know I can make my own decisions. They're too scared and want to control the siduation, but when they can't they criticize me. That's okay, and I should be proud of myself for being brave enough to get this done. I've also heard many successes about this procedure and all will go well on July 18.

God BLess,

Let me tell you a little about my recent goal of 193.

Back in 2003 on Atkins I got down from 260-something to 193½. I saw 193½ for all of 12 hours....then it was gone FOREVER. **poof**

My weight hasnt been this low since around ......1988. When I met DH I was 189 lbs

WOW...I just remembered this is my 3rd attempt with WW. I joined with my MIL around 1988.... failed miserably and weighed around 225 when I got married in 1990.....I totally forgot about my 2nd time. I had joined WW the first time in the early 80's when in college and I remember 175

Cob webs.....

Tammy....congrats on your upcoming lasik surgery.

Sorry you have to deal with your sister and Mom. Yes, you are an adult and can make your own decisions.

Good luck !!

Have a good flight dedicated!

Tammy Maybe I would just stop telling them of what your plans are. If they can't support you then why bother, who needs the added stress
As for Lasik WTG. My G-friend had it done, her eyes were bad. Complete success and she is so happy she did it. If I needed it I would not hesitate.

Reg - I have tried WW a few times over the years, I think Ive only got to 20 or so pounds loss then I give up. I'm bad that way.

Pammy - WTG on the sale, I remember years back I sold all my sons baby clothes after storing them for 3 years (just in case) I made over 300.00 on clothes alone and still had two boxes to donate to a gal at church.

Well as for me I am off to Reno again. It was 105 here yesterday and I hate traveling in that heat. Its a 2hr drive round trip. Today Ill make a run to Fashion Bug and Costco while Im there. My G-friend and I took the kids to the water fountain to play for a couple of hours yesterday and bought a subway sandwich for lunch, it was good too. Dinner was chicken but I felt real sick afterwards so I may of had too much heat yesterday. This morning I feel okay though.

Heres a pic of kids at fountain

Do you work 3rd shift, Reg? What do you do? (I bet it's more fun than my job, I change poopie diapers for 5 hours. I work in Nursery 2 of a daycare, our kids are mobile babies to 18 months old)

I'm going to go to bed early tonight again. i did sleep better last night but I'm so exausted from not sleeping all week that I feel drugged. DH gets home sometime tomorrow night/early Sunday.

Tammy, I'm with you girl on doing what you want to do. On May 16 I had permanent eyebrows and eyeliner (they're tattooed) done, I woke up the next day (we were suppose to go to a funeral and DH wouldn't take me cuz he said it looked like I was either an abused wife or an airbag went off in my face. the brows were fine but all around my eyes it was BRIGHT RED, looked like the blood had rose to the surface, from the bruising) and it was pretty irritated for about 5-6 days, but it's the best thing that I've done for myself. Now I can roll out of bed and not put brows on or eyeliner. I have to go back in about a month for a touch up but it won't be as intense, I would like to get the liner done just a little thicker but DH and DD like it the way it is, and a girl that I work with at the daycare says she thinks it's perfect, but I would like it just a LITTLE heavier. SO, I say if you want lasik then you should do it. My 2nd cousin (she was my flower girl and she'll be 38 on Monday, wow, time flies) just had it done about 10 days or so ago. DH would love to have it done too but he still hasn't done it. It seems that no matter what you do some people will find fault with, but it is hard when its people that's close to you. But, he should be experienced enough that it will be fine.

Going to go read the rest of the posts, I got as far as Tammy's and just had to cheer her on.
