Hi guys, just checking in so that you all know I didn't desert you. Reg, I'm going to try your "PATP's" way. haha. DD drank A LOT of water right before her wedding, she had to exchange her size 10 gown for a 6 and although the closer to the wedding she couldn't eat cuz of nerves (she isn't MY daughter, is she??? Wonder if they gave me the wrong baby almost 26 years ago) she said she thinks that drinking loads of water and the elliptical machine is what worked. I am such a diet coke junkie that I really need to exchange it for water. I will give it a try til next Tuesday when I weigh in and see if it works.

When you have the munchies at night what do you usually eat?

Nightime is some times an issue with me. I start with an apple, carrots or grapes. Then 16 oz of water. If I'm still hungry I make a 94% FF small bag of popcorn. That usually does it for me. Try the 2 cups of water between snacks.......sometimes your body think's its hungry, when actually it's a little dehydrated.

Certainly use all your daily point when you start off. When your stomach shrinks, then you can shave a few points off.
Reg, Thanks for the welcome!!! Good, I will definately take advantage of my daily points for now, until I get used to the program. I'm sure that my stomaching is shrinking, 'cause I'm not as hungry on my second week. Mmm... what do I have at night when I get the munchies?? I basically binge on whatever is available or at hand. [fortunately I've tossed out all the junk food in the house, except 100 cal. snacks that I use for snacks]. I agree with you, when you say that sometimes your body think's it's hungry when it's really dehydrated. I've even felt that why sometimes.

I've heard that there are two different kinds of hunger: 1. True hunger is when you're truly are hungry, but you can wait until the next meal. 2. False Hunger is when you think you're hungry, but need to satify your hunger right away.

Take care,

If I didnt live it, I wouldnt have believed it !!

I'm not a water fan, I am a Diet Pepsi Junkie. In the past 3 days I've had 2 glasses of DP. I would have certainly gone thru 1-1½ 2 liter bottles in that amount of time.

If you can get passed the inconvenience of going potty every hour you'll do fine.

Here's what is currently simmering in my kitchen. I omitted the celery because I 'm not a fan. I used low sodium broth, & Mrs Dash HOT spice mix.

From the WW Site

Quote:
Zero POINTS® Value Slow Cooker Soup

POINTS® Value: 0
Servings: 8
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 300 min
Level of Difficulty: Easy

Need something super-light to offset your indulgent holiday eating? Here's an Italian-spin on our famous zero POINTS® value soup. We made it in a slow cooker but it can be simmered on the stove top, too.

Ingredients

* 10 oz spinach, baby leaves
* 2 medium carrot(s), chopped
* 2 medium stalk celery, chopped
* 1 large onion(s), chopped
* 1 medium garlic clove(s), minced
* 4 cup vegetable broth
* 28 oz canned diced tomatoes
* 2 piece bay leaf
* 1 Tbsp dried basil
* 1 tsp dried oregano
* 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed

Instructions

* Place all ingredients in a slow cooker; cover and cook on high power for 5 hours. Remove bay leaves, stir and serve. Yields about 1 cup per serving.

Hiya folks.

Oh, man! Whenever I stop posting here, I have eating issues! Thankfully, at least, I haven't stopped posting BECAUSE of eating issues. I've gotta get back on track, big time ... I used my no weigh in pass last week, because I was NOT about to weigh in over my 10% loss, and now, this week isn't looking much better. *sigh* I could blame it on any of a number of factors, including DH bringing home all of my favorite treats lately (grrrr on him! He KNOWS better than to wave them under my nose! Goo-goo clusters, jr mints, belgian chocolates, orange dreamsicle cupcakes, and DOUGHNUTS JUST to name a FEW! Now, I can resist any one of them, but all of them at once? What is he trying to do? Sabotage me???)

Anyway, I could blame it on him, but I'm not ... it's my own fault, and I'm okay with that. I have to learn to deal with my relationship with food, and realize that ONE of any of the above is ok, not half or whole packages of each.

So, with that said, I woke up this morning, determined to make it a great day, then realized I have NO food in the house that hasn't been purchased by that diet-saboteur, DH.

So, for breakfast, I had some of the kiddies' cheerios with skim milk, and all I could dig up for lunch is a slice of 2% milk american cheese and one of those smart pop 100 cal packs of popcorn. Oh! And a little can of wax beans. So, a snacky lunch it is. (Wax beans?) But, at least I won't be starving, I hope. (Yeah ... wax beans.)

Only one thing I worry about ...

How THE HECK did we wind up with WAX BEANS in our cabinet?

I'm seriously wondering if the ghost of my grandma is stuffing our cabinets.

Seriously.

Wax beans???

Perhaps a little heart-to-heart is in order.

My DH doesnt bring crap in to the house....he knows better. I almost always have his favorite cookies in the house (cookies are a trigger food for me).

Just make sure you have enough snack foods for you.....that'll help.

I've got the recipe, and have made it several times. LOVE IT! The problem is just that I haven't been to the store to get any good stuff in a while. We've been waiting on my paycheck to come in the mail, and, with the holiday last week, it's running rather late. *sigh* Hopefully it will be in the mail today!

I am definitely going to have a talk with him (again). He was doing great, not bringing anything home at all, or, if he did, he at least had the decency to hide it so I wouldn't be tempted in the least. Part of it is that he brought home some chocolates a while back because they were on sale for a great price, and I was helping him unpack the groceries, and I decided the points on them were okay if I just ate 2 pieces. I should know better by now, you'd think. I'm pretty sure that when he saw that, it confused him and he thought, "well, I guess she CAN eat chocolate"

Well, I made it through lunch! Phew! And I am comfortable, not stuffed, no guilt, not hungry, so I'm good. I wound up with a slice of my cheese, some of those wax beans, (??) AND I found, in the back of the cabinet here at work, a tub of chicken and rice I brought in a while back, thinking I could leave it here in case I forget my lunch one day, so I'm not tempted to have pb&j or order pizza. Sometimes it all works out ok.
