Thanks for getting July up and running Barbara. We may have to stick a post with a link at the end of the previous months to redirect groggy members like me who forget it's a new month.
I'll report in just a few...

ETA: I wanted the scale to say 296.8 this morning - that would have been a full 20 pounds down, but no - it teased the heck out of me and said 298.6. I'm blaming it on a very late dinner last night. lol That's ok. I've got until the 4th of July and I'm sure I'll see the 20 gone by then. This cold is finally starting to get better it feels. Unfortunately, DS now has a cold. So, we've got 3 people under the weather. I may just have to resort to exercise videos until we can get out of the house again.

It's July, IFer's. Let's kick some butt this month!!

Barbara, thanks for starting our July thread!!

Oh, I sure hope everyone is doing well this morning.

It's cloudy here in N/E Florida, and that is perfect weather for taking a walk, so I'll be back a bit later.

May even take a walk through Wal-Mart!

bookmarking my place for July! Excited about my July goals in my signature. I am going back to my window as eating breakfast didn't really seem to do anything for me. It's funny because my scale is not moving at all, not even 1/10th up or down, ha ha. My focus is going to be eating the healthy foods that I like best and working out to continue to reshape my body.

Hope everyone has a wonderful July and I hope everyone is able to obtain all their July goals!

This morning I made some hard boiled eggs and made turkey bacon in the oven. It's so much more easier when you cook & prepare things ahead of time! All my veggies are all cut up and ready to go, and I love having the bacon and hard boiled eggs ready too! I think it's a good key to have meat and veggies ready to grab and go when you're in a hurry and when you can't decide what you want to eat, but don't want to really cook either

The Truth about Healt Success

"Why do I struggle to change when everyone around me does it so easily?" "Why is it so hard for me to stick with my workouts and so simple for others?" "Why can't I make changes like everyone else?"

These thoughts and the many others just like them strike to the heart of a myth that keeps millions from enjoying the health they desire. When the belief is that everyone around you changes with ease, any amount of struggle or setbacks can seem like proof that you don't have what it takes to succeed.

This belief couldn't be farther from the truth.

The reality is that change in any form involves short-term setbacks and struggles. You've established a powerful routine over the years, and changing this pattern is not an easy process for anyone. This might seem like negative news, but in fact it is just the advice you need to hear.

When you truly believe that change and occasional setbacks go hand in hand, you'll never again be thrown off course when one occurs. You won't see an obstacle or problem as proof of your inability to succeed.

Instead, you'll handle it with the wisdom of someone who understands how improvement truly functions. You'll know this is merely part of the game and work to solve the problems you face.

A short-term failure or struggle does not mean you'll never achieve the final result. It does not mean you will always struggle to gain ground. It is only a part of the changing process and proof that you are doing the right things and following the right path.

A great quote I found from another board this AM:

If you lost only 1 ounce per day, you would lose 22 pounds per year and 110 pounds over 5 years. That would be a tremendous success, far superior to ANY results ever put forth by any known diet.

Just got done making some egg salad and coleslaw. Great sides for meat. Tonight I'm going to have a burger w/ sauteed shrooms w/ coleslaw for dinner.

So happy to see many have made it over to our new thread, Yeh!

I'm still waiting around for repair people to check in with me, - it's very frustrating sitting here waiting for someone to call or show up.

Barb, I understand. They either show up when I'm asleep or show up not at all! I am ready to have my house all put back together again and now. Oh well, it will be worth it when it is done!

A new July IF thread is a good place for me to get back on track. I veer off course and get side-tracked by things, but deep down I know this is the right plan for me.

I am really bad about not checking in here when I don't stick 100% to IF, but I realize that when I stay active here, the support helps keep me accountable.

Also, I just love the company of all you great people! I still read the posts every day, and I love keeping up with your lives, your loves, your tears, and your laughter. I just love you all!

So here I go, yet once again!

Barb & Rachel, I sure hope you get your home repairs and renovations done real soon. I know how frustrating that can be. Just think how nice it will be when it's all done!

C/Sweetie, How are things going with you? You're probably a bit too busy right now, so look forward to when you can post regularly again.

Carol Ann, Yes, you're right about checking in even when you're not totally on track; glad to see that you'll be here more often.

Thank you Gracie for the adorable birthday wishes. I love the sweet ***** cat with the cake.
I'm looking forward to another healthy year with my IF buddies & seeing all of us working successfully toward our goals both body-wise & with the other aspects in our lives.

I am very grateful for the support of everyone on this thread. Also am grateful for all the blessings I have been given in my life.

Will be going out for a birthday celebration tonight & am looking forward to it.
