Morning Good luck to anyone weighing in today !!

The party was OK......no drama. Unfortunately, the time dragged. Not sure if that's because I really dont feel comfortable in that house, or that there was nothing I could eat. I managed to get thru it with a handful of pretzels and 3 slices of watermelon.

It was nice to see my Goddaughter. We had not been invited over there in over 5 years. I hate the fact that my SIL and her family smokes in the house. I did my best to keep my kids away from them. Let me say this.......after being in that house, all I want to do is scrub mine, IYKWIM.

We are leaving for Villa Roma sometime today. I have to do some laundry and repack what we wore to the party yesterday, LOL.

Not sure if there's internet where we will be, but I'm sure DH is going to bring his laptop anyway. We're expected to return on Saturday if all goes well.

I expect you gals and guy to keep the thread hopping !! I look forward to coming back to some excellent news of 10%s and fabulous losses !!

Have a nice vacation Reg! I don't think we will have a problem "hopping" in your absence. Hope you may visit us if you can. Glad the party went without incident. I usually leave those kind of parties when no one is looking. I would not be able to stay in a house with smoke anyway due to my respiratory probs.

I am still at home and about to go on my treadmill soon. Drinking lots of water and trying to eat less than my points. Not having a lot of luck with the second part.

But I believe that it is a fine balance at this stage of the game and I need to be on point in all fazes. So I will be eating much more veggies and fruits and less other things. That will be how to keep the points down. I will have to look at the core list and draw from that even tho I am on flex. That is an idea that the leader just reminded us of last week.

Do tell......what's the concept? I know zero about core. How do we incorporate core into fleX?

Hey Reg! I only have a second because I was headed out the door but I wanted to tell you if you google Weight Watchers Flore you'll get a lot of information about it. Don't bother with going to the ww website because I did a search and the posts that came up from the message boards weren't too nice. They're some nasty people over there. Ugh...I've heard this mentioned before too. Basically you eat off of the Core food list but still count points. HTH.

I'll do some more searches when I come back.

Have a great vacation and I'll talk to you later!!

{{{{skinny vibes}}}} to anyone weighing in today.

Reg I'm going to get the ingredients that I need to make an enchilada pie!! I plan on making 2. Between the enchilada pies and my chicken salad I should be set for the week!!

Core has a list of foods you can eat. You got that with your welcome kit if you go to face to face meetings. If not I believe you might be able to summons it online. Core ppl ONLY eat from this list except a few things using their WPA's. They are high density and low glycemic for the most part. If we flex people use the same list and stick to it we can have better results. That is my understanding.

Yeah, I switched over to Core Plan a few weeks ago and have been doing much better eating healthy foods - instead of allowing myself one too many 100 calorie packs, lol! Most of the foods I eat are proteins, veggies, fruits, dairy and a little bit of whole grains. I have to really watch the grains and anything with sugar in it - or I don't lose. I'm perfectly happy eating this way!

Now, I eat my foods from the core list - but I still keep track of my points! So, I do a combination and thought I was weird for doing it. I'm glad to find out that others do it too

Hi all, just checking in.

Glad your back Babs! We missed you.

Oraki, I would have loved to have had your .6lb loss this week. Your not doing bad. Just keep your head up. You might want to start planning a walk each night just think of it as "me time". Maybe it will make the weight-loss move more? I know you will start dropping more soon. Just stay on points, we are all pulling for you!

Have a great vacation Reg!

Good Morning Rockstars!

I'm finally back on track...and I'm not starting the week off with a gain! What would make me happy this week is 1 pound :-)

I made the green bean/mushroom thing yesterday for dinner -- used the steamer bag. DELICIOUS. I sprinkled some of our favorite spice in it...some hispanic spice friends gave us. After steaming, added some ICBINBS, not one green bean was left behind :-)

Do you add water to the contents of the steam bag before steaming them? If so how much? Also what is ICBINBS? I have seen that before here but I don't know what it is.

Well hope all is well in Rockstar land. Skinny vibes to any weighers today.
I am about to go on my treadmill. I love my treadmill. I ordered workout music at workoutmusic.com I ordered according to the BPMs I wanted and it is perfect. Oldies from the 70's.

ICBINBS = I can't believe it's not butter spray.

Well I am here, but I did not do well this weekend. I didn't even count my points I just ate what I wanted. We were at the lake all day on Saturday, it was tons of fun and hot. We BBQ'd some burger which weren't bad, but the linguisa oh my another story. Then Sunday we had a BBQ to go to. Big ole 1/2lb burgers, mac salad and cheesecake I blew it.

Today is another day and I have a plan. I sure hope I can counter all those calories I put in my body over the weekend.

B - coffee, cream 2pts
cantalope 2 pts
Fiber One bar 2 pts

L - Salad FF dressing 2pts
soup 0 pts

D - Chicken 6 pts
Veggies
oil 1 pt
rice 4 pts
sauce 2 pts

wheat thins 3 pts
cheese 2 pts

26 pts

I'll admit, I'm lazy...I used fresh, sliced mushrooms, but hate cleaning green beans so I used frozen. I didn't add water because I knew there would be something there with the frozen veggies. Ended up having to pour the liquid off, but it wasn't a big deal.

Super easy, super fabulous.

ICBINBS = I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray. Love the stuff.

Drink lots of water. What day do you weigh in? My weekends are usually a free-for-all of food and booze...no joke. If I douse my body in water, I can usually pee the weekend weight off by my Friday or Saturday weigh-in day.

Reg, if you are still checking in, have a great vacation!!!!

Another gain for me.
I exercised 5 days last week and didn't really eat off program/off plan that much. It definitely was not 8,750 calories worth (2.5 pounds). I'm really starting to get upset and frustrated. I know some of it is my eating the last 2 weeks, but I fear some of it is my body/metabolism/thyroid as well. WW is a pretty low calorie diet and I shouldn't be losing as slowly as I was w/ the insane amount of exercise as I was doing either.

I've gotten very frustrated lately can you tell?

Oh well, new week and all that right?

Heya folks! Slimdays - thanks for the workout music site tip! I am browsing as I type. They really aren't too expensive, and you can download them directly instead of getting a CD, so I really like that.

Violettfem - *hugs* I am sorry to hear about your lack of loss. Sometimes our bodies don't exactly do what we expect them to do. Will your doctor still not run a thyroid test? If not, I'd seriously think about switching doctors. It's such a simple, inexpensive test, and my doctor runs it at every physical, regardless of age or other factors. Good luck!

As for me, I was, surprisingly, down a pound this past week. I found it hard to believe, but there it was. (Or, rather, wasn't. ) I found a neat walking route in my new neighborhood this past weekend, and that was good. Oh! Also, sis brought her kids over Saturday night and we were sitting on the porch and someone thought of a little something they wanted from the store, so we all walked over to get it. I was pleasently surprised that I was able to get them all to walk over with me rather than drive.

I really want a bike. *wishes*

Hi Ladies,

I just joined ww on saturday for the second time around and I'm glad I did!!! My weight was hitting a platque and I needed to do something about it. I felt comfortable at my first meeting back on the plan and everyone was really nice. I like the new flex plan which has more choices then when I joined 3 years ago, and the nice thing is it's familiar and I haven't forgotten how to use those points. LOL.

You'll have a great day!!!

I am sure you will like it here. We are a very supportive group unlike some other boards (ww) where they are mean and nasty. If you ask a newbie question they tell ya to read the book.

Sarmay: So glad I could be of help with the workout music. I thot they were reasonable and yes there is no mailing involved and most of all I could pick my bpms.

Good Morning Ladies! ( Joy! ) I have made a fresh start and would like to post for encouragement......

and of course ask a question or two or three

Right now ladies I'm needing some ideas for extremely FAST dinners. I get home after six from a 10 hour day and am exhausted. Ideas??

Please check this:
My Menu:

1 cup Total cereal with raisins/1/2 Cup Skim Milk

1/2 Roast Beef Sandwich (Made with the good whole grain bread) with 1/2 cup baked chips

Protein Shake ??? OR

Cereal for snack before I go home....

Dinner ????? I think I'm putting together the Fat Free potato salad tonight and maybe a piece of grilled chicken.
