We had a great time at the Museum today. We took an 8:34 train from our station and arrived at Penn at 9:42. We were at the Museum of Natural HIstory shortly after 10. We had lunch in the cafeteria. I had a salad and fruit cup. You should have seen the monster cupcakes. I didnt have one. I packed a Fiber One bar for the ride home. Had an on-plan day !! Yippee for me (not an easy task when making a trip to NYC).

I believe I passed out watching TV in my clothes before 8PM

I hope everyone had a good day !!

Morning ladies and gentleman!!!




I woke up and decided to stay home today. I'm tired and I don't feel very good today. I think it's because of the heat from yesterday. On the way home my stomach was actually pretty queasy. I just need some rest! My brother and nephews should be leaving this morning so I'm going to curl up in the bed and take a nap.

When I saw my sister yesterday at the funeral she had on the prettiest blouse!!! It made me realize that darnit I need a few things for myself!! I don't remember the last time I bought myself some nice clothes. My sister shops at a plus size store called Ashley Stewart and I just looked on their site and they have the blouse! Plus it's only $19.99!!!! Oooh I may order it. DH hasn't received his back money yet but I do still have some of my bonus money left. It's okay to buy myself a blouse, right? I know I'm so weird. I just have a hard time buying myself anything. I keep thinking well I can pay a bill with that.....I guess I need to get over it and at least get myself something!! Maybe I'll get the blouse after all...I really like it!!

I guess none of that was ww related huh??

Good luck to all Monday weighers!!!!

Oh yeah I have a NSV...I checked the scale this morning and I didn't gain ANY weight due to the weekend!! I'm so proud of myself!!!! So I'll just work on staying on track and I should definitely show a loss next Saturday. I think it will make the week easier not having to worry about getting the scale to go back down. Yippee!!

Have a great day everyone...I'm going back to bed.

do you guys eat instant oatmeal for breakfast?
I bought some form BJ's, assorted variety
they're all about 3 points, is this a good breakfast choice/

I was also thinking of getting the flavored cream of wheats for breakfast too, anyone try them?

I eat oatmeal sometimes but normally as a snack or maybe lunch. For some reason if I try to eat it for breakfast I'm starving within an hour. I love to either mash a banana in it or an apple. It's so good!!

I still haven't tried cream of wheat though..is it sorta like grits?

I saw an advertisement for fruit flavored ones and it looked really good

I love oatmeal, but it doesnt fill me til lunch. For me, it's good for a snack, but not for breakfast. I enjoy sprinkling some on top of cut up apples, then I bake (spritz with a little ICBINBS)

So, the fried banana desert last night was a definately thumbs up. DH even liked it!

I like oatmeal...it doesn't last long in the morning at all...if I have that as breakfast, I'm starving marvin by 10am...

Can I join you all? I've been stalking you for about a week now
I think I need the Accountabilty though.

A little about me. I just turned 40 a couple weeks ago. I am the married mother of two. Ryan is 9 and Tiff is 3. Tiff has Special Needs and keeps me very busy. I am a SAHM but I also do bookkeeping out of the house. I currently have 6 accounts and am possibly looking for more. My DH is a Mechanic at a shop here in town and things have been real slow lately.

I started WW a week and a half ago. I lost 6.5 pounds my 1st week. Weigh Ins are on Thursdays. I am doing this with my G friend we don't go to meetings. There is only one out here in this small town we live in (Fallon) ,so far its working for us. This week was off to a rough start, but I am 100% on game today.

So how bout it room for one more?

Well everyone, I had my first Off Program/Off Plan gain.
2.5 pounds.

*ack*

I neglected my exercise, overate my points almost every day and had ice cream, cookies and cake 2 days in a row. Now that I see how much I ate, I'm lucky I didn't gain more than 2.5

New week, renewed focus. My problem is, when I am very busy and away from home (like i was last week), I eat whatever is around. That doesn't always translate into good choices as you can see. So I bought some good WW snacks (carrot sticks, 94% popcorn, wasa light crackers) and left them at my friends house last night.

Mike, I eat the quick oats or the 1 minute oatmeal in the large cylinder package. I make them in the microwave for a minute, 30 seconds. You get 2 points for a half a cup (uncooked) and they stay with me. Instant oats are more processed, less true oat fiber so they digest quicker. Plus they are only 2 as opposed to 3 points for more oats. I love 'em and eat them every day.

Of course there's room for another!!! Congrats on your 1st week lost!! That's great!!!! Don't worry if you had a rough start, today is a new day!!! Post often!! We're a chatty bunch here.

So it's not just me when it comes to oatmeal. For some reason if I eat oatmeal for breakfast I have a tendency to want to eat more during the day but if I eat it for a snack I'm fine. Go figure! I think it has to do with the fact that I really need that protein to get me started in the morning.

Welcome to club Vi. It happens to all of us. Hell it's happened to me more than once!! You know what happened and you've learned from it so that's all you can do!!! That's a great idea to leave your snacks at your friend's house!! Now get back on plan and get to exercising!! You're turning into a social butterfly. I bet ww has something to do with that!! I'm so glad you're feeling better.

Aww Vi you're too kind...stunning...nah...I just try to clean myself up once in a while.

My husband thought I looked pretty cute though. He used the word sexy....

I don't normally get dressed up for much and normally my clothes are loose on me so I was kinda unsure and self concious in this dress. I finally decided what the heck and walked out the door!!!


Edited to add: I really need to stop watching Food Network's show Diner's, Drive Ins and Dives....I love that freaking show!!! It's a good thing none of these places are near me.
