Figured I'd start the new thread during one of my many potty breaks

Father's Day was nice. We hosted a brunch for 15. It was really nice. Rave reviews. No family drama.

I over did it......*sigh* and, because I am crazy I checked out the damage when the Wii said "Your weight has changed since last time". I drank a ton of water after my 40 minute workout in the hopes to flush some of the cake down the drain . I'm not sure that I can undo this by Wednesday, but I will try.

I hope everyone had a great Sunday !!

Good luck to our Monday weighers.

Good morning, ladies and Mike!

Our internet at home is all wonky again. Ugh! I didn't eat so well yesterday ... nothing bad, per se, but too much altogether. I made a really yummy casserole-type enchilada bake that I'm calling a "Mixican" Enchilada bake. LoL It's not really mexican flavors, really, but the technique is similar. I've got to tweak it a bit more, as I want to make more sauce without adding any points, but I'll post it when I'm done.

BUT since I couldn't get online, I didn't add up the points for it until today. It turned out to 5 or 6 points per serving, which isn't bad, but I ate 2 and a half servings, in total, yesterday. It was THAT good.

But, whatever, I enjoyed myself.

I weighed in yesterday, and was down a little, but still .4 pounds over my 10% ... next week, I'll be there! I just know it!

It's actually a little embarrassing, because I already have the 25 pound charm, but not the 10% keychain.

I'll be back later!

Good Morning Rockstars!

DH and I grilled Buffalo burgers last night. 3 points for 1/4 lb burger and quite frankly, if I didn't know it was Buffalo, I wouldn't have known. Know what I mean? Pretty good and low in points...me likie that!

Didn't completely wreck my diet this weekend, I'm up a smidge today, but not 4 - 6 pounds like usual.

I've been horrible with journaling, so, I made a committment to myself that if I bite it, I will write it this week. I'm putting myself back on program like a newbie.

If you haven't done so already, check out the Hungry Girl cookbook...tried a couple recipes and so far so good.

Oh, my! I've gotta check out this Hungry Gal stuff! I have an entire shelf for recipe books that I need to fill up.

Nah, seriously, though, when we were packing, DH was in charge of the recipe books, and I told him that if it wasn't low-fat or an encyclopedia (I love Alton Brown and my Joy of Cooking ... couldn't give those up!) then I didn't want it. If he wanted it, he could keep it. The only not-figure friendly books we kept were 2 ... one is a chocolate cookbook and one is an Indian cookbook.

Both of which I am glad he kept.

Hello friends!

I am down a pound and a half this week!!!!!!!

Color me surprised.

Maybe it's the water from TOM making an exit...or maybe it was the extra intensity in exercise, could be thw 'extra' activity this week (I went out socially 3 times as opposed to staying in and watching tv after dinner)....either way I'll take it!

I am truly shocked however as I overate my WPA's by Wednesday and overate my DPA's 4 days this week. Maybe my metabolism is finally back on track after not being able to get out of bed for almost 9 months. That is really my hope. I used to be able to lose 10-12lbs in 3 weeks, forget about this 8+ week stuff.

Anyhoo.....I'm a happy camper today!

This breaks my heart and has happened to more friends of mine that I'd like to think about. It's very sad.

I was thinking what kind of challenge can I start for myself?? I didn't want anything tied to a particular weight loss amount or anything because that will just drive me crazy. Since I LOVE my smilies I came up with the 5 smiley a day challenge! So here are the guidelines!!

1 smiley for drinking my water
1 smiley for getting in some activity
1 smiley for tracking all my points
1 smiley for using my daily point allowance towards the WW healthy guidelines and not on snacks, chips, etc (If I want these items then I need to use my wpas for them)
1 smiley for having at least one positive thought about my weight loss journey or my body each day

Okay the last one may be a little hard. I have a tendency to beat myself up pretty bad. That's why I added this to my challenge!! I know if I challenge myself to earn my smilies then the weight loss will follow. Looking back on my points tracker the weeks that I lost the most were weeks I followed most of these guidelines.

So I'll start tomorrow...wish me luck!!!!

If anyone wants to join me feel free!!!!
Good Luck Oraki! This is an awesome idea btw! I especially like the last one because I am very guilty of beating myself up over my health challenges and body image.

I had a lot of success with authors like Louise Hay to learn how to change my inner dialogue. That's not to say I can do it very well 100% of the time, but I don't berate myself for how I look anymore. I am much more accepting as a result of doing that type of work.

on etools, it has it listed as 4, but i dont know what the serving is...so im just going to go with 8. sounds good
Shelly I would count each fajita w/ filling as 4 (0 veggies, 2 for the fat per serving, 2 for each tortilla) and add 2-4 for the guac depending on your serving size.

I wanted to congratulate you for making a healthy choice at a Mexican restaurant. There aren't that many healthy choices to make as almost everything is fried or covered in cheese, but you did it! You should be proud!

Don't listen to the Wii scale! If you ate sugar yesterday your body is naturally retaining water today so keep drinking missy! The real plus or minus doesn't count till Wednesday and you know this being a former scale-a-holic. So just step away from the scale and do your best till WI!

and thanks for getting is started. Great quote BTW!
