I slice the sweet potato up, spray pam all over, sprinkle with whatever seasoning I like that day and bake in the oven for however long it takes to make them crispy-ish. 1 large sweet potato is 3 points according to my WW Complete Food Guide. I have also made them with some olive oil sprayed on. Either way, they're quite fabulous. Last edited by PammyB : 06-20-2008 at 01:48 PM. |

Weighed in at lunch...stayed the same. Again, I'll take it. I try to be good on the weekends...I had the best of intentions last weekend...then Monday hit and I had lunch out with a friend AND dinner out with some friends of ours. The good news is I'm holding steady and not heading back up. We wouldn't want that to happen then my new fabulous size 10 wardrobe of pants, jeans and shorts wouldn't fit!

Thanks!! Hopefully it will help tomorrow. I've done pretty good if I would say so myself this week but it's the weekends that keep tripping me up. I indulge in either getting something out to eat or eating too many snacks that my weight goes back up. So I spend the week trying to get it back done plus maybe lose a little bit. I gotta stop it!!! This weekend I'm DETERMINED not to do this!!
I may not show a loss tomorrow...I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm not going to stress it. |

Hello Peeps! i am here, in my bathrobe, so sick, so miserable,
started out with a little cold i caught from my son, and now i am running a fever, and so achy, bleh. im trying to be good, i took the kids hiking yesterday after bible school, it was about 45-55 minutes on the trail (they are 3.5 and 8.5) so i got a few activity points, but it made me worse i think, last night was the worst im trying to be good, but all i want is french fries, comfort food bleh. bleh. |

Hidee Ho!
Hi ladies and Mike!
![]() I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided I should introduce myself. I'm Karla and I am doing WW@Work. It's great because there are alot of us at work on the plan, so no matter which direction I go out of my office I run into someone on WW!!! I have tried to lose weight many times before, but the accountability of stepping on the scale every Thursday is helping tremendously. I used to be able to talk myself into cheating, but not anymore. Accountability is the key to my success this time!!! Everyone have a great weekend!!!

Okay all you lurkers come out.... Ollie ollie entry or whatever that saying is. It is time to stand up and be counted and accountable. We welcome all newbies here. We are nice people here.
Committing to a plan was the first step I took this year back in January. That did not come easy. I had been eating out of control for quite a while and steadily gaining weight. I knew how to lose weight but to be honest I did not want to put in the work. I am a believer so I just prayed for the motivation to do what I needed to do. I have researched the options. I have looked at the weight loss surgeries and what that intails. I wasn't willing to go that route either so I knew I had to try one more time to lose weight the natural way. The healthy way and the way that embraces ALL of the food groups. That would be Weight Watchers. But even then it was a friend that said she was going back to WW's after Christmas that got me to thinking about doing that again. I had done Atkins and some success until I stopped. Skinny Vibes to everyone weighing in this weekend!

MAJOR LCF POSTER!

It's Saturday and I'm back from my meeting. I was up a pound to 228.4...Pooh!!! I have to admit I was pretty bummed because I knew I did pretty good this week. This really brought home the fact that I can't expect to overdo it on the weekends and still continue to lose weight each week. Maybe sometimes but not all the time. At the beginning of the week I was up about 3 pounds. Now if the scale hadn't been up I would have definitely shown a loss this week. I was a little worried about this weekend because my brother and nephews showed up. They're staying with us for the weekend and I know they love to order different stuff. After seeing that gain this week it doesn't matter what they order. I have my plan for the weekend and I'm going to stick with it.
The meeting was pretty good. She compared ww to a road trip and sometimes there will be bumps in the road or detours. You have to learn from those bumps and detours and get yourself back on track!! It was a good meeting and I left feeling better than I did when I first sat down. Okay goal for next week...to see a new freaking number!!!! This yo-yo roller coaster ride is over and I"m getting off!!!! I have some chicken defrosting that I plan on cooking on my indoor grill and I'm also going to cook some ground turkey to make a taco salad. Plus I have some fruit so I'm ready for the weekend!! |

Oh Oraki, so sorry to hear you had a gain! You will do great next week!!! I know exactly what you mean when you say about how you are done with the roller coaster ride and you're getting off! I had many many weeks where I'd be bad for a few days and have to be SUPER good just to drop those few lbs. I gained so I'd have a loss at the meeting. Then, at the meeting I'd either have a very small loss, maintain or a gain - because I messed up on the weekends. I finally told myself NO MORE of this!!! So, since then I try to exercise everyday, get all my water in and STAY ON MY PLAN!!! WEll, in the last 3 weeks since really sticking to everything and switching to core plan and eating more protein instead of all the sugary carbs I was overdosing on - I have lost 8.6 lbs in 3 weeks. I still allow myself to have ANY KINDS of foods I want - fruits, veggies, lean protein, dairy - - - with a little bit of whole grains ( I have to limit myself, or I can go nuts). I do not allow any more 100 calorie packs, WW snack cakes or any other real sugary treats in my home. Those were making me have horrible craving and I couldn't stop at just 1! Now, I make homemade treats and desserts and have been much better with those! I'm just loving my Hungry Girl cookbook!

Last night I tried the Jalapeno Swappers recipe from Hungry Girl cookbook and they were awesome!!!! They were very good and very close to the Poppers from a restaurant. I think if you love Poppers - you will love these!
The only thing is, I do not use Fiber One cereal because I have problems with aspertame - so I had to make up my own substitute. I took Crisp N' Light Wasa crackers and parmesan cheese and blended those together in food processor and used that instead of the fiberone. I do have all bran and could have used that, I didn't think about it though. Will try that next time! |
