Up until now, I've been all about the throwing the baby out with the bathwater, breaking every dish, spoon, glass..

This is a very powerful image.

From this day forward, I vow to never break a plate again. Chip it, maybe..

Carol Ann, we think you're terrific, and we'd love to have you back in our thread, no matter how you decide to kick off your new plan. I was really disappointed in myself after losing weight last spring/early summer...to find myself in almost the exact same place as I'd been the year before. To look at all that work, undone in a few months, was not a happy time for me. I also *needed* the jumpstart of initital loss to keep me motivated and on track. You can do this, and we are here to support you.

Melissa, YEAH, for the scale ticking downward. I'm happy for you.

Barb, no sugar, no starch, a window, and exercise. I think that's going to be my winning combination for getting to my goal and staying there. I would like to add in whole grains when I reach my goal, but I'd be fine with them once a day. I'm thinking of my time with the nutritionist and her group as being the kickstart to a year's worth of being on a plan. I think the last few pounds will be gone within the year--but I am not going on Spring Break next year at my highest weight again.

Gracie, I love what you wrote here "now is what counts." It's true, and a very helpful thing to remember. Thank you for all the insights you share with us!

I must rush to get ready for work, so I'll write more indies later. I'm having lunch with my friend Matt today, so I want to look extra nice.

See you all later!
Rachel

Missa, did you find a way to make the protein shakes taste better? What brand are you using?

Hello to anyone who I missed....wish me luck at Callanetics!!

Rachel
Our bodies are funny things aren't they? They crave weird things at crazy times!

I am plugging through with the protein shakes. I am switching out between the EAS RTD shakes and Jay Robb's protein powder.

So, how did Callanetics go last nite? I have two of the VHS videos of Callan but I have loaned them to my boss. Haven't used them.

I don't know why I'm like that, but it takes a lot to get me to do what's right. I'm not quitting now. I'm intrigued by the test results and how IF plays into them. I am feeing not so rotund. I'm feeling better. I just need to find that one THING that will keep me from making that decision to cheat.....
LC and IF is what got me to where I am today! Kept me from stalling except for one small one AND let me add in LC foods that I couldn't eat before (nuts).

Missa, I loved Callanetics. It reminds me of another program I used to do--Lotte Berk. I really love small delicate movements that I can really *feel* working and tightening my whole body. I found the program very relaxing and yet quite demanding all at the same time. I am out of shape and my muscles are extremely tight. I could only do some of the exercises for about 1/4 or 1/3 of the counts as the poses are difficult to hold for me at this point in time. I am happy with this program and will do it for all of June. I'll probably also keep using my mini-exercise bike for 30 minutes a day (easy to do when I'm watching television.)

Hello ladies,

Looks like this board has been hopping already this morning. I had a successful IF day yesterday - window from 12:30 - 5:30. I had some raw almonds, a protein shake, and a yummy wrap made from leftover burgers plus a salad. Not sure what the plan is today yet.

I have belly dancing at 6:30 tonight, so I think I'm going to stick to my regular window and just make sure I finish eating by 5:30 so I'm not stuffed when I try to exercise. I've been having a crazy beef craving the last few days - I've probably had more beef in the last week than I've had in the last six months. Still craving it today though, so it must be something my body needs.

Leigh, I'm glad you had a good window day yesterday!

Everyone, I wanted to mention that I am eliminating the coconut oil from my coffee in the mornings. Any calories early in the AM seem to trigger the want to eat earlier than my window opens. I will still use coconut oil on a regular basis though--just within my window.

I think Callan trained under Lotte Berk for a time, that's why it's seems similar~

Hi everyone,

Am back on track with my induction menu, but not in a window. Also yesterday I rode the stationary bike on intervals, level 6 for 30 minutes and did about 20 more minutes of cardio and abs when I got home.

Thanks again everyone for getting me back on track last week and reminding me of the benefits of low carb. I'm staying strong and motivated!!!

Theresa I'm so happy for you that you are feeling good about being back on track. Staying strong & motivated is of upmost importance. I believe everyones WOE is a mental game more than what plan we are following. It's so easy to get off track & let our motivation slide. I'm so grateful that I have everyone on this thread cheering one another on their journey.
TNLeigh Glad to hear you were successful in keeping to your window. Our bodies are much smarter than we usually give them credit for so good going on listening to what your body needs.

Okay peeps, I drank my shakes and ate my chicken and salad at lunch. Not satisfied at all. I am going to have some almonds and see if that helps with me. I know they are not on TSF, but I really want to stick to this for the rest of the week, since I have a family reunion this weekend. So, I tweaked it for today!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Missalissa Glad that the almonds helped. I'm so used to eating my meals that I would have a big problem if I had to do protein shakes most of the day with just one calorie restricted meal. I give you lots of credit for trying this

Awww! You are so sweet, Rachel! I would love to hang around here with all of you great people!

As for the TSF. . .I have had three shakes today, and I am already sick of them! Also, I noticed that I began to have some blood sugar issues earlier this morning. I'm not sure if it is due to the fact that the shakes are full of protein and not much fat or what. They leave me with a queasy feeling, then a little while afterwards, I feel my blood sugar drop some.

When I was sticking to an IF window of 6 hours per day, I never noticed blood sugar swings at all. Knowing this fact is sufficient to show me that I truly need to get back to what works best for me. I'm sure it won't be easy, but I will ease into it. There are such great successes here, I'm already inspired!

Hey all!

I had a nice lunch out with my friend Matt. I've been craving salads, so we went to Sweet Tomatoes, and I had a huge salad with real creamy cucumber dressing. It was very yummy and quite colorful. Who would believe that I'd be craving salads, ha ha. I like it that my body wants healthy food, though!

Makes it much nicer than fighting the sweet/junk food monster of last summer.

It's killing me! I think I know what it is, it's the lack of fat. Man, I don't do well on low fat!

Great job! Stick with it! My extreme kickboxing workouts are on hold for now except for scheduled depletion workouts while doing the TSF/PSMF. I miss it!

I am going to be honest, I don't like doing the TSF. I just don't like the way I feel on it. Am going to stick it out, but I really do feel better with higher fat levels. I haven't had any blood sugar issues doing it though.

Had a lot of running around to do today, and I'm feeling wiped out.

You gals have been busy and I'll try and catch up a bit later, but for now, I need to chill out a bit.

Maybe I'll get a second wind, then I'll be back!

Melissa - Good for you for staying on plan and now the scale is going down - which are the results of your hard work!

Missalissa - sorry to hear the shakes aren't really satisfying for ya. Glad to hear the almonds helped!

Barb - thanks for the link to the Dietz & Watson website. I was able to see what stores near me carry it. Unfortunately, the closest store is 20 minutes away. But, I will keep it in mind - and the next time I'm out that way, I'll have to try it.

Carol Ann - yeah, it's depressing when we've lost weight, then gain it back. The great things is that you're here now and you're getting prepared to have great changes in your future!

Theresa - Good for you for sticking to induction and doing all that exercise!

Rachel - that's great that you're craving healthy foods! I'm finding that I'm craving lots of veggies and proteins and cheese too! I just love cheese .

Leigh - That's great that you had a succesfful IF day yesterday! Your menu sounded real yummy too! Have fun at your Bellydance class tonight!

Today is such a sunny beautiful day here, I love when it's sunny

I think I forgot to mention that when I went to Costco
