Good Friday morning peeps! Hope all is well in the land of IF.

My "stink" problem hasn't been fixed yet. Hopefully he has time to look at it today. YUCK! The good news is that in the Texas heat "it" is drying out pretty fast and the smell is not as strong now.

I had to go to the dr. yesterday. I have an infection on one of my toes. Well, he's not sure if it's an infection or a fungus so we are treating both. He gave me an anti-fungal med, an antibiotic, and a steriod cream. The antibiotic I am on says on the label to drink plenty of water. I guess that's one way to make sure you get all your water in for the day!

BBL for personals!

I smoked almonds! I eat them almost every day. I like to break my fast with them. Good and good for you!

Okay, my plan of attack for two weeks is not low carb or IF. But since low carb seems to only be effective for me when it's also extremely low calorie, we are going to switch things up a bit. Here is what I will be doing:

breakfast: protein shake w/heavy cream, eggs, berries, and protein powde
lunch: low carb and high fat, protein is good, lots of veggies encouraged
dinner: high carb and low fat, veggies and fruits encouraged, along with whole grain products like pasta, rice, potatoes, and etc. No junk food allowed!

If any of you have read the Jay Robb "Easy Fat Burning Diet." this kind of reminds me of his plan but I will be keeping an eye on my calories, goal is 1600-1800 a day, which seems high, but I am willing to try it.

I will continue to do Callanetics almost daily.

I've got to get ready for my helpers to come over and tear out my deck. Be back later with indies!

Rachel
Does sound a little like JR's plan. And a little like CAD. Let us know how it works for you!

Not yet. I hold water like the HooverDam when I am on antibiotics so it would be futile. Will try again next week.

Mall Walk w/ the kids this morning. Probably the pool later as well.
Have a great IF day y'all!
Don't be scared of the scale, but don't take it too seriously either!

Ah, staying home this morning and not going to the beach, cause I was so tired from yesterday's exposure, and am still feeling it a bit today.

Got a smidgen of sunburn on my face, so put some jojoba oil on, and it permeated so quickly; will be using the VCO at night, and the JO during the day.

Have some time this morning to play on the computer since A went to the beach for a couple of hours. She said 'Mom, I have to go back home and look like I've been to Florida'
DH is golfing, and so it's computer time for me.

There's an interesting thread by Tooter in the ML about having C/O first w/tea or coffee about 20 minutes before eating. Seems it is more effective that way.

I'll bbl!!

Just got back from the mall. Wore my pedometer today. I've already got over 6K steps for the day. There will be another ~3k when we go to the pool. I even carried DS for a while. Started my day w/ coffee. Drank Perrier at the mall. Having some Diet Hansen's right now.
I slept like the dead last night. Had a shower, clean sheets, all that activity, and being up since 6am. I laid down and next thing I know my alarm is going off. lol. I love that part of LC.
Have a great IF day y'all!
Oh - and I've noticed that my face has cleared up again. I love that part of LC as well. Smooth as a babies tush.

MMMMMMM... I brushed 2 LC tortillas w/ olive oil & sprinkled some sea salt on them, then cut them into chip-sized wedges. Baked them at 350 til they got a little brown and crispy. I'm having them w/ sour cream & salsa - once one of my favorite non-LC snacks. OMG. This is heavenly!!! I love these - they are so nutty and delicious. I'm going to have to watch the portion sizes, lol... I could easily eat too many of them..
I'll have to make nachos w/ them once I grill up some more chicken..
Yummy!!!

Another great way to do them is to do the olive oil and some Lawry's Seasoning Salt. I love making those and making an LC Chili, just divine!

I haven't updated my stats to show the regain, but after 2 days of PSMF I'm down 6lbs, I know it's water, but I dont care! I'm 6.5 lbs above siggy, and I know it's wimping out, but I just can't bring myself to move it back up so I'll just be patient till I get down there again!

Hi everyone-rejoicing that wt isn't taking a bounce up again, like I am historically prone to do. It seems to go down a tiny bit regularly on IF, but it stays there until the next tiny down. A lot more encouraging than that rollercoaster I have always done with my water wt. Hope everyone gets their ac/stinky stuff taken care of.

Hope everyone had a great Friday!

I'm home from work and from buying groceries for the week. I am trying to save some money on my groceries this summer, but prices really have gone up, haven't they?

My paint bid came in super high, so I'm a little disappointed about that! I am going to get another bid, though. I need it to be about half of what they told me, yikes. This is when it would be nice to have a man in my life! One who could do stuff like paint really well.

I'm kind of tired, so I'm just going to make some coffee and relax for a bit. I rented two movies to watch over the weekend and I am going to look for a list of free or almost free stuff to do. I have a feeling that my repairs aren't going to be as reasonable as I'd hoped. But we'll see!! Now's a good time to save money, anyway.

Happy Friday night, I will be back later!

It is true for me also that with IF it may be slow, but it is always a downward trend.

Yes, they most certainly have!! I went to Publix and brought home a stock of Dreamfields in the 16 oz. size, and didn't realize one of those boxes was only 13 oz. for the same price. They still have some there, and I think I'll pick some more up tomorrow, cause before you know it, they'll all be gone.

Hi everyone!

I can't sleep so I thought I would post instead 11 hours of Callanetics done.

Wolf, it's good to see you again. How's your life going?!

Gracie, I'm glad you got some time at the beach and some time to relax! I can't even get Dreamfield's in Utah anymore, so I think you are wise to stock up!

Elaine, those little downward "blips" can add up over time!

Melissa, those "chips" sound so yummy. Might have to add those to lunch or dinner next week! Wonderful job on those steps!

Missa, I am a water holder, too. I sometimes feel like my knees are big sponges!!

Katie, I'm glad you had a nice start! That's always motivating! Please keep us posted on what you think of PSMF!

Well, in between my home repair projects, I decided to venture into the world of online dating again. It's pretty funny, I have had responses from men as young as 24 and as old as 75. Thought I had a good one tonight but we were chatting and he started talking about sex.

I should try and get some sleep! "See" you all in the AM!

Rachel

You're doing so well w/Callan....one of the best routines out there....so glad you chose it!
Yes, I'm glad I got to have some quality time with my dd. She left this morning, and I already miss her so much, as I only see her about 2-3 times a year.

Ouch..hopefully the next bid will be better. Have you though about getting bids from the services who list their ads in Penny Savers (thrify nickle, what ever its called there). Most are small biz and might be worth checking out a few.

Stocking up time! I wish I could find it here, but it's better that i don't as pasta is a big downfall for me, I eat WAY to much when I have dreamfields in the house.

This morning going to look at cars with Bill, not my idea of a great time but he asked me to go with him. Can't wait till this afternoon, our pool is finally warm enough to swim in .

Down 1 more lb this morning. So far I like the simplicity of PSMF but my lack of hunger is making it a bit tougher so yesterday I had 2 protein shakes, 2oz of beef and 8oz of LF greek style yogurt which probably isn't 100% what they want, but it was high protein and low/mod carbs, it was the only way I'd have even come close to the 95g of protein that I'm supposed to have.(ended up with 99).

I'm using fitday to track everything and my macro's are staying pretty consistent.

I wated a movie yesterday called Sweet Misery about aspartame & related health issues, I really recommend seeing it, now I'm done with aspartame, no more. Which is a pain because I drink a lot of crystal light, now have to find me some stevia sweetened stuff.

Have a great day all... Hi to everyone I missed

Good morning all.
I'm just enjoying my breakfast shake, it's really yummy this morning.

I was worried that I might see an increase on the scale from adding whole grains at night, but my body is just humming right along at my signature weight. Now let's see if I get a litttle decrease.

Gracie, I am glad you had a good visit...I don't get to see my mom very often, and it's always so hard to say good bye when I leave!

Katie, I have called several people--but most just aren't reliable and won't show up. It's crazy. I thought the economy was bad? But people don't want to work? Anyway, a day at the pool sounds really nice! Might have to think about that one myself!! I stopped using all artificial sweeteners in my plan, and it's been surprisingly easy to stay off them. Every once in a while, I really want a Diet Coke, but then I just drink some cold water and I'm fine!

Time to make some coffee!

Wow - welcome back Wolf!

WTG Rachel on the Callenetics. I'm sorry the search for a painter is proving to be so difficult. It might take some hardball to get them to play - "I know what this job is worth, you can take $$ from me or ZERO and let me give that $$ to your competition whereas I'll praise him to all my friends and bash you."

Congrats on the pound down Katie! How long are you planning on doing PSMF

I'm up a pound, but I guess that's not bad considering AF/TOM kicked into high gear. I had a hard time w/ appetite yesterday. I couldn't think of anything I wanted. I got nauseous every time I thought about food. I ended up finally getting hungry late and had some grilled chicken w/ chili seasonings w/ tomato, olives, sour cream & salsa pretty late last night. Also, didn't go to the pool, just stuck with the mall walk.
Today is all about housework. Looks like a bomb went off in here. lol.

Have a great IF day everyone!!

Hi Everyone!

Wolf - Hi! Nice to see you here again

Katie - I saw that movie "Sweet Misery" about 2 months ago and could not believe it! I also immediately threw away any aspertame loaded products! I don't drink pop, but didn't realize that it's in crystal lite, the sugarfree gum I had, the fiberone cereal I had, the sugar free jello. I would have easily donated that food to a food pantry - but that poison isn't good for anyone! So, that's why I threw it away. Since then I buy Stevia. I love the Stevia Glycerite, which is a thicker liquid Stevia and I use it all the time in my coffee and protein shakes. I don't notice any aftertaste, I think it tastes great. I also have the packets of Stevia Sweetleaf and that's ok, still a little aftertaste to me, along with the powdered Stevia Extract. But, everyone's tastes are different and maybe the powdered Stevia tastes differently to different people.

Rachel - Sorry to hear the estimate for the painting project was so high. I have heard sometimes it's very very expensive. Someone told me they were quoted around $10,000 for a painting job. I thought that was crazy. I hope you have better luck finding someone that is within your budget and RELIABLE.

Good luck with the little change you've made in your eating. You're right, it does sound similar to CAD. I've read Jay Robbs books before and he's a great guy, but some of his concepts are things I've heard before in other diets. Like eating fruit on an empty stomach, 1 meal of whatever you want to eat within 1 hour, etc. Maybe he's one of the smartest out there to combine all the great dieting concepts into his books. I saw the fat burning diet book at my health food store and almost bought it. But, I thought - I better not. I'm really trying to be careful with our budget with the price of groceries and gas getting higher and higher, I need to just catch up on the books I do have and read those, lol.

I've had been so busy cooking and baking new low carb recipes yesterday, that I got behind on my housework. Have to catch up today. I cooking and baking all these new things - but it's the cleanup part I don't like. Especially when you make 4 or 5 different new recipes, lol!

here's a few of the things I made yesterday:

Low carb breaded jalapeno poppers (very good!)
Low Carb breaded chicken (very good!)
Low Carb no bake peanut butter cheesecake -from Linda Sue website - (came out pretty good)
I made my own low carb crust for cheesecake with almond flour, Crisp N' Light wasa cracker, stevia, melted butter- (very good)
Low Carb Peanut Butter Fudge - from LS's website - (Very good!)

I really love peanut butter, but I better stay away from desserts with peanut butter in them. Especially anything with cream cheese and peanut butter - I've sort of getting tired of pb cheesecake. I was going to make regular no bake cheesecake, but when I saw the pb cheesecake it sounded so good. I will be experimenting with a nice regular flavor no bake, cheesecake that is light and creamy (but not real rich), and I will use the crust I created yesterday. The crust is a good sub for graham cracker crust.

I'll bbl to post more.

Have a great saturday everyone!

Hi all!

I am still full from my breakfast! I wanted to eat before I left to run errands so I'm not tempted to spend money on food when I'm out and about. This is weird, but maybe I will just take my quiche with me and eat it in the car. I pack a lunch to work; who says I can't pack a lunch for shopping? Silly me.

Flower, the estimate was $4000, and I have a small townhouse. I am going to have the boys who have been working on my backyard paint my house. They will only charge me $25 an hour, so I think I can have all the labor AND the paint for under $1500. Those low carb goodies sound so yummy! Yeah, JR seemed to have a lot of repetition in his book--I think there are only so many ways to diet, anyway!! I am limiting my book buying this summer, too. I'd rather put the money into my house!!

Melissa, I am always amazed when my appetite is low. I sometimes feel like I want to think about food and eat food all the time. Your chicken sounds really good. And congrats being up only a pound with TOM here.

Time to go and find the stones I want for my backyard!!

See ya!!

Rach- fly me out there, & I will do your painting! I use to work for a contractor in my younger days, & have painted a few homes all by my lonesome.

I got to go outside and watch my lil girl- and enjoy the nice weather- u all know how impatient kids can be heheheh.
