Reg - I had an "I'm so freakin' hungry day" yesterday, too! It was terrible! Oh, and, if it's not too much trouble, could you point me in the direction of your turkey enchilada pie recipe? *insert sweet, innocent, batting eyelashes smiley here* Good luck with WI! {{{{skinny vibes}}}}

Becky! You are doing so well! Sounds like your plan for the weekend is awesome! I had no idea about tootsie roll pops! I figured they had to be crazy points! I was surprised, too, that hershey kisses aren't really too bad in small quantities. Moderation is the key, indeed! It's just difficult, when you are so used to certain foods being completely off limits, to change your thinking about them and realize they are not evil. I still get worked up over pasta and rice ... I used to think they were so horrible. Now I realize that they can be a healthy part of my diet! In fact, last week, I even had a cadbury egg filled with caramel. True, it was something like 3 or 4 points, but one was enough for me. And it was nice to not feel so guilty over it.

Oraki - I don't think I could do a buffet, either. It would just be too tempting. And hard to control myself on the portions, too. Bob Evans is kind of like Cracker Barrel, come to think of it ... I guess it's a midwest thing? I never thought of it ... I know their farm is close to where we live, but I'm pretty sure they have restaurants in at least a few states ... now I'll have to look it up ... I'm curious. Anyway, back on topic .... I have the monthly pass, and I love it! It is really nice to not have to worry about paying each week or month, since it is auto-renewed, and the cards are sent to me each month. It's a little cheaper, too, which certainly helps! And, of course, the etools are awesome. That sounds awful, what the leader said about not leading a meeting for 5 people! So 5 people are less important? Ugh!

Babbs - Congratulations! Sounds like you did well at the party! Good luck at Fisherman's Warf and beyond! And I am NOT commenting on the couple you observed ... that is just ... wrong ... but then, I'm from a very conservative area, so ... yeah ...

Dedicated - Clean eating! WooHoo for that! I will join you in it ... tomorrow. I am having sushi one more time ... tonight ... I have to ... then, I'll give it up again. LOL Oh, and I don't suppose you get that FiTV or FitTv or whatever channel? They have those All-Star workouts that are really fun ... there is one that is an Indian dance that my sister and I can actually do!

Flower75 - I, too, generally have the higher-salt foods right after WI and then try to be good the rest of the week. It seems to mostly work.

NSV ALERT NSV ALERT NSV ALERT!!!!

Right now, this very minute, I am wearing a pair of jeans that I could not even pull up over my thighs in January of this year. And there is EXTRA CLOTH in the hips!

SO TRUE. I mean, I am not totally throwing away my "low-carb" thinking, but even Dr. Atkins tried to get people to add fruits & whole grains back into their diets as they progressed. The problem I had with that was "boundaries". I couldn't trust myself to not go overboard. WW gives me boundaries through the point system. Low Carb helped me break a SEVERE sugar addiction (I used to own a bakery! yeah, go figure!!). It is so good to have balance, a "whole" picture. I mean, it is NOT about FAT FREE - CARB FREE - MEAT FREE - VEG FREE -- etc. REAL "FREE"DOM is balance. Real Freedom is real life. Real freedom is eating like a skinny person does.

YEAH, good proteins. YEAH, good fiber. YEAH, good fats. YEAH, good carbs.

Can I get an Amen??

Turkey Enchilada Pie
POINTS: 4
INSTRUCTIONS

1 sprays cooking spray
3/4 pound lean ground turkey
1 medium onion(s), chopped
1 tsp chili powder (I used Mrs Dash Spicy Mix)
3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup fat-free skim milk
4 oz canned jalapeno peppers, drained and chopped (I used fresh)
1/2 tsp ground cumin (didnt have any)
3 large burrito-size wheat flour tortilla(s)
3 cup tomato(es), chopped (I used canned petite diced)
10 Tbsp low-fat shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium heat. Place turkey, onion and chili powder in skillet and cook until turkey is browned, stirring occasionally to break up meat, about 8 minutes. Remove turkey mixture from skillet and set aside.

Place skillet over medium-high heat and add flour. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk until blended. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium; simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes.

Remove skillet from heat; stir in turkey mixture, jalapenos and cumin.

Wrap tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave on HIGH until softened, about 15 seconds. Place 1 tortilla in bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Spread 1/3 of turkey mixture over tortilla. Spoon 1 cup of tomato on top and sprinkle with 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) of cheese. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients ending up with 2 tablespoons of cheese.

Cover pie plate with aluminum foil and cook until cheese melts and filling is warmed through, about 15 minutes. Let stand, covered, 2 minutes before cutting into 6 wedges.

WOE: Way of life:Weight Watchers Flex plan wi: Tues.
Start Date: 1/22/08
Good afternoon my ww buddies! I am sending skinny vibes to reg and anyone else that is weighing in today. Hope you have great losses!

Dedicated I am sending you skinny vibes too and I know you can go without sushi for at least one week just to see if it makes a difference in your wi.

Personally, I do not care for sushi but I can substitute what my favs are and understand.

I am thrilled that I lost 1.4 this week. My scale at home only showed .05 loss. I was pleasantly surprised because I was mentally preparing myself for a .05 loss. ha ha ha

So I had my fried seafood platter last night with onion rings and all. I enjoyed every bite and did not skimp. I think that in the future I can deal with just having the haddock part of it and I would be okay. I know what it all tastes like. We will see.

The point was that I did it on the night of my wi so I could get back to business today and be op. I think that is part of my ww's lifestyle whether the leader sanctions it or not. I know they are not allowed to sanction that. Actually, if they are promoting that this is not a diet than I think having what you want on the night of your wi (once in a while, not every week) is definately breaking the diet mentality for me. Even my son tried to tell me that eating it on Tuesday is still a "cheat." I told him I am not on a diet. There is no cheating. It is a lifestyle!
