NOON - Elliptical - 2.47 miles, 276.6 calories burned, 30 minutes - resistance set at 6 (I tried 8 but that was way too much)
- Treadmill - 1.04 miles, 75 calories burned, 18.22 minutes - set at 3.5 the entire time.

I WILL GO TO THE TRACK TONIGHT. Or I will go and play tennis with dd. Some sort of exercise this PM...I WILL EXERCISE THREE TIMES TODAY.

ts1draft - I've not figured out the protein yet. I don't quite understand the concept of protein and CORE...I know we can eat as much as we wish from the list...but I've not been able to totally wrap my mind around the concept of mixing carbs and protein as freely as CORE allows...so I've not had much protein at all. I also have not been getting in my dairy...which I really don't like...this is another reason I really need to get that food tracker working on the ww site...I just can't get it up and running. Dedicated - do you have any suggestions about protein...what should I know/what are the rules on CORE?
from WW site:
More Satisfaction for Fewer Calories
Eating foods with a high satiety value helps extend the time between meals and the amount of food needed to stop hunger. Both of these factors can reduce the number of calories consumed in a day, resulting in weight loss. In a new study conducted at the University of Washington in Seattle and the University of Oregon in Portland, researchers showed that people eating meals with varying amounts of protein and fat fared better with weight loss when their meals contained more protein. The higher-protein meals produced greater satiety and a desire to eat fewer calories, leading to a greater loss of weight and body fat.

Playing the Percentages
The diets used in the study were not extreme, fitting into the recommended ranges for both protein and fat. (Read more about Macro nutrient Recommendations.) The higher fat diet had 15% of calories coming from protein and the higher protein diet had twice that amount. While satiety levels were greater on the higher protein regimen, the reason why is unclear because the study also found no impact on either ghrelin or leptin, two hormones known to affect hunger and appetite.

If hunger and a lack of eating satisfaction are impeding your weight-loss efforts, you may want to try the approach used in this study and look for ways to cut fat calories and increase protein. Low-fat, high-protein foods include lean cuts of meat (look for cuts that include the words loin, round or leg), skinless poultry, fish, egg whites, low- or nonfat dairy products, and beans and legumes.

&

Here's another fact: You need to eat a wide range of nutrients to survive. Dietary fat, for instance, helps in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins; protein aids in tissue repair and is pivotal for cell growth; and carbohydrates provide the brain with its primary fuel source. Purposefully omitting any of these nutrients from your diet can wreak havoc on your health.

The secret to safe weight loss? Balance. The best eating plans are ones that include a mix of all nutrients.

After the meeting stick around. The leader should talk you through any questions you have. Make sure you have plenty!

I always measure pasta cooked Mike....*if you don't have a scale or one of those dry ounce measurer's then that is your best bet. You'll be surprised at how little a cup of pasta is. I know I was.

Better than most Reg...thank you doll!

I just walked.....and HOUR!!!!!!!!! *W00T* That is a lot for sickly, out of shape me!!!!!!

3 AP's BABY! I really need to get a pedometer to see how many miles I did. I did inclines repeatedly and everything. I am so proud of myself.
Try the mapmyrun site, it just takes a little time to get around in it. i lose my runs all the time.

thanks for the faith in my boys...at least there are 2 so they nark on each other.

Mike, I would also recommend putting pasta in a measuring cup after it is cooked.

I will walk.

Hubby and I went to our favorite seafood place and had our platter for two. OMG! It was good. I wouldn't know where to start with points for that. But all I had was a ww peanut flavor bar when I was at my meeting for 2 points. So I am good. I can have a bowl of mixed fruit with yogurt later on and that will be today.

I don't know if I ever mentioned it before but the numbers started to decline and at one meeting there was only 5 of us. The leader made the comment that she wasn't going to stand there and do a full meeting topic for just 5 people. That kinda annoyed me. No not kinda...it annoyed the hell out of me. I mean we deserve a meeting too, right? That's one of the reasons that I'm not signing up for the at work sessions anymore. It may sound silly to others but that just rubbed me the wrong way.

Well the pup is looking at me right now. BBL

Dearest Dedicated,
You have been so kind and so encouraging to everyone on this board. I enjoy reading your posts. It bothers me that you are struggling right now. I know EXACTLY what that breakdown/tantrum fit is. Been there done that, stretched out the t-shirt! So it is with a sadden heart that we have to do this. It really hurts us more than it hurts you.. well, not really ... but you are hereby grounded. Young Lady, you are NOT allowed any of that sushi stuff anymore. We love you and want to cheer for you, but in the meantime, Missy, consider yourself on restriction.
Love,

Yeah it's definitely water weight. It will be gone next week. I would have been ready to pass out too but remember this is a lifestyle change so we may have those ups and downs. For right now though...no sushi!!!! I guess everyone's body is different because I don't have problems when I eat sushi. Now it's a different story with other foods though. Dang I'm just rambling now..it's time for me to go to bed. Just remember we're in this together!!!

Good job!!! I probably would have tried to look through the window. I'm pitiful like that. Keep it up. You're doing great! Don't you dare let this one weigh in get you down. I won't allow it. It's my job to be all dramatic and stuff.

Okay I'm going to bed now. I've been up long enough.
