FRUIT FLUSH

Has anybody tried this by Jay Robb?

How did you find it?

I just looked it up, and I lost 7 pounds following the fruit flush for 3 days back in the summer of 2007.

Day 1 - loss of 4.4 pounds
Day 2 - loss of 2 pounds
Day 3 - loss of .6 pounds

Did you get the menu of what you can eat?

This is the perfect time of year for enjoying lots of fruits and vegetables in season at reasonable costs!

Yes, I have all of his books.

I did follow it to the letter and the second day I had only lost 1 pound, so I did not continue through the third day. It was during the TOM, so that might of had an impact of some sort for the results.

I may give it another try after my trip to Punta Cana, I may need it once I return.

Did you try Jay Robb's Fst Burning plan?

I have the book

I bought the book a while back. It is pretty good. Jay Robb suggests cycling between high carb and low carb days eating 3 meals a day with a free meal once a week eating whatever you want for one hour. I loosely tried it for a few days, and it wasn't hard at all. His logic behind it makes a lot of sense. There is a whole chapter with a week of meals for men and for women. I would recommend picking up a copy!

Sounds like a great read for the summer. I definitely believe the carbs in fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, and raw nuts and seeds are so good for us!

In the few days did you loose anything and how did you like it?

I bought all his books. The 2 week fruit plan sounds interesting. I may give it a try when I come back from Punta Cana.

I lost about 3 pounds. It was pretty easy to stick with...I wish I had done it for longer!

t0r1 - I found the 3 day fruit flush very easy to follow and also the 14 day fruit diet looks easy as well. I love fruit. What made you not continue with the plan?

I moved onto what I thought was the next best thing...Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. I seem to have ADD when it comes to sticking with a diet. It's no wonder why I don't see consistent results! Spring is just a bad time of year for me...it was tax season (I'm an accountant), and I was stressing about losing some weight before my high school reunion. To be honest I have found that not worrying about it, eating what I want in moderation and working out consistently is what works for me. I am doing a protein sparing modified fast right now to jump start my weight loss.

Let me know how you like the Fat Burning Diet.

Sorry Hoops! From what I remember the fruit fast and diet require you to eat fruit every 2 hours and then have a huge salad for dinner with protein. It is very simple! I think that the 3 day fast has you drinking protein drinks on the first day, but don't quote me on that. If you love fruit, this is the diet for you! You can download the fruit diet for $5 from Jay Robbs site. I hope that helps!

Tori~ Thanks! I downloaded the 3 day diet last summer. I may download the other plan. For only $5, that's great! I've been eating mostly fruits and vegetables the last 3 days.

Treasured~ No, I didn't start it. I didn't even buy the 14 day plan download. I was trying to find what I did with the 3 day plan and couldn't find it. I do remember that you drink a protein drink every two hours, and then for dinner eat a salad with grilled chicken for the first day. Are you planning to do it?????

Kingston~ Are you going to do the 3-day or 14-day fruit plan?????

Just ordered!!!!
I ordered the 3 day Fruit Flush and the 14 day Fruit Diet.

Thursday is my last day of work until August (teacher) and we're having a huge bash at my friends' house, so I will probably read a little tonight and then finish the e-books up this weekend. I would start Friday, but I know I will be having a few drinks Saturday at a gf's birthday and I have a date Sunday. Hmmmm.... excuses excuses. Okay, I am starting Sunday. So, I may be cranky on my date! I am just fooling around about the cranky stuff, and Sunday it is.

Any others want to do the 3-day Fruit Flush with me Sunday thru Tuesday?

kingston2902: I don't have the book here with me at the moment, as I am here at work. Tonight will be unable to post, since I will not be home until late, so I am aiming for tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Thanks for posting the plan Hoops. OK ladies, count me in for starting Sunday as well. I have to figure out what is considered one serving of fruit. I love fruit and tend to get carried away when eating it.
