I can't begin it this week-it is the final week of school and we have an end of the year party and our 8th grade social as well as Father;s Day, so it will have to be started some time next week. I will do my shopping to stock up on my fruits and salad stuff and start either Monday or Tuesday. My question is how much energy do you have during it-I work out six times a week and do not want to stop my workouts-I love them and they are a great stress reducer for me so I want to make sure I have enough energy to continue on with that.
Again congrats to you Hoops and I look forward to hearing how the others who are going to try it are feeling
If you've been low carbing, the first day will be fine for you. The two fruit days are killers. Jay Robb doesn't recommend working out during the flush because of the low calories.

Starting tomorrow

I found the fruit flush detox in a magazine this week - went out and bought the stuff today and will start tomorrow.

I am excited. I did Atkins a few years back and lost 75 lbs - gained some of it back and then more after finding out my thyroid wasn't working and had it removed. So I am back to almost where I started and ready to feel better about myself.

I LOVE most fruit so I believe this will be a good thing - it has been great reading all the posts.

I will let you know how I do

Good luck, Angie. Keep us posted!

I, too, love fruit! That is about the only thing I miss when I low-carb. And as a previous poster said (sorry I don't remember who), this is the time of year to do this. Lots of fresh fruit. I plan on buying all organic. I can't wait!

I am starting this tomorrow! I read about it again in a magazine in the check out line and decided to do it. I will do the 3 days and then get back to Atkins strictly, I think. Or I may try the Fruit Diet. I'm not sure yet.

I have 3 kinds of Jay Robb's protein shakes that I LOVE! They are by far the best around.

I am running to the store in a few minutes to get my supplies. I am excited to start!

Didn't get to start today - woke up with a stomach bug and couldn't eat or drink anything.

Now I just have a TERRIBLE headache.

I will get over this and start Monday.

Good morning ladies,

I have started on Saturday. The scale has only moved .4. Before starting the Fruit Flush I did the Fat Fast and only lost .2. Don't know if its because I'm close to goal and my body will not budge or because TOM is here. It just seems so strange that I have lost hardly anything on both plans.

Today, is my last day for the fruit flush and then I will be moving onto the 14 day fruit diet and see how I do with that.

Wish me luck.

How is everyone else doing? Anybody started the Fruit Flush yet?

Good luck to you all.

Hi, Moretta. I'm sorry the scale isn't moving. I bet you're right about TOM and you having little to lose being a factor.

I started the fruit flush today. I also plan on doing the 14-day fruit diet after the three days.

Good luck to everyone starting today!

Moretta the closer you get to goal, the harder it will be to lose weight. Even if you water fasted, or master cleansed, if you are close to goal the weight doesn't come off so easily.

This is what I am thinking is the problem because I am following all of my plans to the letter. The last 2 weeks I have been losing like a turtle's pace. I am going away on July 8 and wanted to be at goal.

I am not exercising either, so maybe if I push in some exercise at night it may budge a bit, who knows.

So true! I just have to say that I wish I had that problem.

But I know that struggling to lose weight is struggling to lose weight, whether it's 10 pounds or 200, sometimes it can be very frustrating when the scale doesn't move. I can't wait to read the post where you've met goal! I'm sure it will be coming soon.

That might help. Either way, exercising is good for your overall wellbeing (which I"m sure you already know).

July 8th is still a few weeks away. Don't give up! You can and will do it!

I'm jumping in because I do love fruit! I tried the fruit flush before but I had no energy to go to the gym. I think I did not follow it to the letter, either.

I may try again. I ate a lot of junk during my vacation last week.

Thanks for the information, Hoops!

Also, starting this plan on a Saturday or Sunday would be ideal.

I think I may have to gear up in the exercise department tonight after the kids go to sleep and see how I do. I will start out by washing the floors, and then get into some kind of exercise routine of some sort. I have callentics, turbo jammer, etc. and have not done them yet.

Welcome LoraJR72 and good luck. I love fruit and enjoy this very much.

I have so many workout DVDs that I haven't even tried it's not funny. Ugh. And I spent a large amount of money on a treadmill this time last year and have only used it a couple dozen times! I know how important exercising is, but I still find excuses not to do it. I am working on changing that.

Just thought I'd let ya'll know that they have a whole thread about Jay Robb's shakes. I am definately going to get some and try them. I looked at stores this weekend for a protein powder that met his standards. I couldn't find any. Here's the thread, in case you guys want to check it out: Jay Robb protein powder

Moretta~ How much was your 3-day loss? Your TOM lasted a long time. I always retain before TOM and lose it when it starts. You did a great job!!!!

Lora~ You're so welcome. I enjoyed typing up what I read. Moretta got us all reminded of this terrific 3-day flush!

Sydney~ Great start today!

Luv~

I have been keeping up with reading your thread. I am going to give this another try too. I totally did my own thing last time. Anyone do the flush without doing the pre-diet day of all the shakes? That day looks really unappealing to me.

That's what I am doing right now. It is more out of lack of funds and not being able to buy Jay Robb's protein powder right now. After I get back from vacation (July 5) I plan on doing the 3-day diet again, the right way. But for now, I am just doing all three days with fruit all day and salad and protein at night. Then I'm switching to the 14-day plan. It is pretty much the same, except you can eat as much fruit at one sitting as you want. But you still have to wait two hours between meals.

Lynn -- I am so glad your first day went smoothly. And I am so proud of you for doing all that exercise! That's amazing!

Hello - I have been lurking! I have been doing Atkins off and on for 3 years. My weight is at a stnd still right now, and my daughter is getting married in November, I would like to start a downward trend before then! I bought a whey protein mix to get started on but will order the Jay Robb. Does anyone have a favorite flavor?

I am thinking of ordering the ediets from his website....I wondered if the 14 day diet is supplemented with protein shakes or is just fruit for the day until the pm meal? I am not a huge shake fan either way!

I am going to give this a shot!

You can do it that way. There was one of those quirky diets out long ago called the sexy pineapple diet and all you did was eat pineapple for two days. Don't know what your results would be, but it couldn't hurt to try!
