This fruit is delicious! Oh, the blackberries are to die for!

Moretta~ I avocado, too. I just didn't have any at home, so I didn't eat it. Also, oil poured on a salad sounds gross. So, yesterday I used some trader joe dressing and today I ate full fat dressing. I read in the fruit diet of his that he wants us to eat full fat. As far as the avocado, if you really enjoy it then why not eat it? It is on his plan. I am excited for you to get started.
I can already smell and taste the yummy fresh fruit. Its calling my name. LOL.

I will definitely post when I do start this week Hoops, and by then you will be doing the fruit plan which sounds delish as well.

OurLuvsFromAbove: Sounds delish. You should eat your salad for dinner and have the protein shakes all day long on the first day I believe its every 2 hours you drink the shakes for Day 1 and then a huge RAW veggie salad for dinner with some lean fish/meat and a protein shake with it. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have yet to start and TOM is coming probably next week, so I'm battling with a lb going up and down for the last week or so, but will probably start anyways.

Hoops: How are you doing today?

Talk to you all later.

Day 3
Down another 0.4 pounds (total 5.8 pounds). I ended up having the salad and protein around 2 and then fruit again in the evening. Also, I didn't eat all the fruit it stipulated on the plan, so perhaps that had or didn't have an effect on the loss. I will follow it best I can today. It is already 9AM and I haven't eaten my fruit. Off I go....

Luvs~ The best diet is one we can comfortably follow, so if you're tweaking it with foods on the plan then just expect a little slower losses but maybe not. I changed my day a little yesterday and not sure if it had an effect on the weight loss or not. WTG getting started today! I am excited to hear how you feel and your weight loss!

Moretta~ I think you'll find the fruit will help with cravings during TOM, reduce cramping, and make TOM lighter.

Treasured~ How are you feeling? Did you decide to stay on the flush or add a little something extra? I woke up thinking about you.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Hoops: Congrats on .4 loss. A loss is a loss no matter what the number is. I take anything as long as my scale moves downwards I'm happy.

OurLuvsFromAbove: Oh sounds great. Sorry, didn't know you were tweaking it.

Treasured: How are you doing? I hope all is well. Please check in if you can to give us an update.

I didn't have the book so I did this, I did not have shakes the day before. I got a lot of headaches day 1 but after that was ok. I added the fiber one cereal because I started getting really hungry! I only lost three lbs but I was on TOM at the time! So 3lbs is pretty good I thought! It does flush a lot of....something? I think I will do every few months.

D1- B 2-3 cups fruit salad with one container yogurt as a sauce
S handful almonds
L same as B
S handful almonds
D Cheated had a potluck

D2- B Same as D1
S almonds
L fruit salad with 1/4 applesauce mixed in and cinnamon sprinkled on (looks gross but it is good)
S almonds
D same as L
S almonds

D3 Same as D2 with the exception of dinner I ate 1 cup fiber one cereal with 1/4 2 % milk

D4 B 3 cups honeydew
S fiber one cereal/milk
L 1 pear handful of fresh cherries
S almonds
D fiber one/milk
S melon

Lots of water!!

Fruit salad contained-honeydew, cantalope, fresh pineapple, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries

Eating in the order prescribed!!! Crap... found this in the Q & A in The Fruit Flush. Oh well, today is a new day. I will follow correctly today.

"The program is designed to cleanse the body at maximum efficiency by eating the foods in the exact order listed each day. Changing the order of the foods consumed cound hinder the cleansing power of the program."

Luvs~ That thirst will most likely go away on Day 2 or the evening of Day 1, when you're consuming LOTS of high water content fruits and vegetables. I live in dry Vegas, and I have to remind myself to drink on this plan. You're doing great! Do you work at a car dealership or design center???

Wendy~ That is great losing 3 while TOM was in town! Thanks for posting your menu.

Hi Hoops and Moretta! You guys are so sweet. Thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately, I don't think this is going to work for me. I think my problem is that I have insulin resistance. I was hungry yesterday, but I did at least get through the without feeling physically sick. But today, since I've had nothing but fruit, I'm actually not feeling well. I think it has to be the insulin resistance and my body isn't liking the fact that I'm having all this fuit with no protein. Oh well, at least I gave it a try. I have to do some tweaking and figure out a plan that works well with my IR. Hoops - keep up the good work!! Sounds like you're doing great.

Day 2 -5.4 pounds
Yes, I really lost that much weight and feel sensational! I need to head off and have my first serving of fruit. It looks like a fruity day and another large salad for dinner.

Anyone else starting? I am looking forward to read about your results and how you feel.

Wow, you lost 5.4 lbs. the first day? That is awesome! Can I ask have you been lowcarbing or just starting off from an absence of sticking to plan? I am just wondering if I could get the same results since I am already lowcarbing? Congrats on the loss!

I am so not hungry, and it is hard to consume all of this fruit. Also, eating the fruit have eliminated my thirst, so drinking that 8 to 12 oz every other hour is a chore. Normally, I just water. I guess I'll get use to it.

I am off to listen to my new book cd A New Earth. It is the book study Oprah does. I just Oprah's giving and caring nature.

Moretta~ Thanks. It appears to be my own fault for eating the protein earlier in the day. Hmmm... The Fruit Flush is definitely strict in comparison to The 14-Day Fruit Diet.

Treasured~ You may have the sick feeling due to the toxins being stirred up or withdrawal from the toxins put in the body. Whenever I do fasts (water only) I feel the worst the first day or two if I've been eating poorly... too much refined and processed foods and too many animal products. Just a thought... I don't know anything about insulin resistance. I just hope you feel better. Let us know.

KOO~ Thank you! No, I wasn't low carbing. Your glycogen stores are probably depleted, so eating the fruit may show not much loss on the scale even though you are still flushing your body. Why not give it a whirl for 3 days? You can always sswitch back to LC after the flush.

Treasured: Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope you workout some kind of plan to suit your body. Also, what Hoops has already mentioned is so true about the toxins being released from your body and that may play a role in this.

Hoops: Are you moving onto the 14 Fruit Diet? If you are, good luck. Let us know. I read it and also seems pretty easy to follow.

To everyone else, hope you are having a great day.

Talk to you all later.

Moretta~ Yes, I am going to continue on with The 14-Day Fruit Diet. I also order Jay Robb's The Fat Burning Diet, and it should come in the mail by the end of the week hopefully. I have all summer off and thought it would be great to read the differences in the plans. I think The Fat Burning Diet rotates high and low carb days. I will share what I learn when I get the book.

Day 3
I only ate 2 servings of fruit instead of 5. It is so much to eat, and I am just struggling. I will continue eating the fruit. I had a huge salad for dinner, and I really am enjoying the vegetables more than the fruit.

How is everyone else doing?

Hoops: I have the book Fat Burning Diet and have skimmed through it. Its one day low carb the next high carb etc. Saturdays at dinner for 60 minutes you could eat anything you like. ie. cake, chips, etc.

The dairy products are all low fat. The cuts of meats are all lean. I really dont like buying low fat products because of the added sugars or just plain additives. Also I love the fat on meats because that is what keeps us satisfied. So I was a little hesitant when I read the grocery list. I was expected full fat foods on low carb days at least.

Besides all of that, it seems like a good WOE and I'm sure that it will work if you follow it to the letter.

I may try it, but still undecided.

Let me know once you read the book what you think.

Fruit Flush over... I lost a total of 6.2 pounds.

Not sure what today brings as far as eating for me. I haven't eaten yet, because I am not sure what I want to eat. Should I do all fruit and vegetables? Should I have protein drinks and protein? Maybe a combination of all of the above?

Can I join this thread? I really like the 3 day fruit flush. The first time I did it, was after a weekend when I was really carbed up and needed to get back to low carb. I ate lots over bad stuff over that weekend before and had put on 8 pounds of water weight. I lost 13 pounds in the 3 days. So technically, not all of my 13 pound loss was water!

Hoops, after I did the 3 days, I went right back on Atkins (my plan of choice) and the weight loss stuck. Great job on the loss!

I have the 14 day fruit diet ebook, but I haven't read it. Could you give me some idea of what it involves?

My only problem is, doing the fruit flush makes me cranky (according to my family)!

Hoops: Congrats. That is excellent. Woohoooooo. You go girl.

Missalissa: Sure you can join us here, and welcome. Sounds like you did great the last time you did it. Wow 13 lbs lost that is fabulous.

I'm probably going to start on Friday of this week, maybe we can do it together and then I'm moving onto the 14 day fruit diet, and see how I make out.

So, I decided this....
Breakfast- Fruit
Lunch- Protein, Vegetables, and salad dressing
Dinner- Protein shake and vegetables

For Breakfast I ate grapes...red, green, and purple.
For Lunch I am finishing my salad... romaine, spinach, chicken, peas, dressing
For Dinner I will have the protein shake and a vegetable salad

Moretta~ Thanks! Do you have everything you need to begin on Friday?

Missalissa~ Nice weight loss. I lost 6.2 for my 3 days, and most was the first day. When are you going to start?

I'm actually thinking about doing this starting tomorrow. I have a family reunion this weekend and hardly anyone there has seen me since I dropped my weight. I would like to look as good as I can for it! I've had some scale creep the last couple of weeks due to some medication, but with the TSF, it is finally going~ Back at my sig weight now.

Right now I am doing a week of TSF and then was going to transition to Lyle McDonald's RFL (PSMF). I am really wanting to lower my body fat percentage. I am very comfortable in a size 8.

If not, I will definitely start on Monday after I get back!

Nevermind.... I decided to eat a hotdog with cheese and bun for dinner along with a diet rite instead of the vegetable salad and protein drink.

Well, the hotdogs was incredilbly yummy, although I really should've avoided the Taco Bell and cookies. I am not even into cookies, but I've been making them the past week for my son just a few at a time from a large container of cookie dough. I gained, but I am right back on track today.

I am not sure what I am doing today, but I started it will a 6 oz protein drink and heading out in a few minutes to take the dogs for a walk.
