Hi guys, I'm down 3 lbs, with 2 CM's and an RM!!! I'm keeping my CM's on the light side, like instead of two eggs in the morning, I'll only have one and at lunch a small salad with some protein. Maybe it's a cooincedence, maybe it's not, who knows. It's just working. YAY!
Shelagh~ I know how you feel about family members who are emotionally draining. I finally realized that I had to stop trying to "help" them or "fix" them, and when they threw a fit, I would go somewhere else. It was something that I had to do because staying meant I was surrounding myself with negativity and pain. I realized that I can't control anyone or anything, I can only control the way I react to the situation. When they loose that bargaining power with you, there's no reason for them to keep doing it. There's an amazing book by Eckhart Tolle called "Awakening to your true life's purpose" It starts out slow but it's AMAZING the things I learned from it. Hang in there, be happy, Lara |

Morning and
me_heatherd and to everyone else!!!!I'm trying to get the scale back down but my rm wasn't the best yesterday. I definitely realize that I have to plan ahead or I eat too much during my rm. So today is back to planning ahead. Congrats Lara on the loss!!! Your hard work is paying off. I eat small cms today. Normally it's cottage cheese for breakfast and then some type of protein with veggies for lunch. KUTGW!! Everyone KUTGW and have a great CAD day!!!! ![]() |

Welcome heatherd. Good job on the weight loss.
Oraki - I am sure you will get a handle on it soon. I have been stuck on same weight for several days now. Guess I need to be glad not going up. I may also need to watch overall calories and get more exercise. Have a great day everyone. Patsy |

Hello everyone,
I am in the process of getting ready to go out of town tomorrow. DH and I are going to Street Vibrations in Reno, Nevada and will be staying until Sunday. I will be driving the motorhome while DH rides his motorcycle. The weather is supposed to be beautiful and the bike will be a good way of getting around. Our motorhome has been parked for awhile and I need to knock down the spider webs and clean off the dust that accumulated inside. I am so glad I cleaned it when we returned from our last trip even though it seems like I need do it over again. DH will be making some food this evening for us to take with us. Our menu is all planned out so we have an idea of what we need to bring. I will be stopping at Costco on the way to Reno so I can get any last minute items that we may need. Bowflex is scheduled for tonight when DH gets home. My menu for yesterday included: CM: 2 cups of black coffee CM: Ribeye steak and cucumber slices RM: Shrimp salad w/avocado, bacon bits, colby cheese, & ranch, and a Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream bar I took my chromium and drank plenty of water. |

Teri,
Hope you have a great trip. We also have a motor home. It's a good way to take the food you need, etc. I might also add how impressed I am with your program and consistency. |

Good morning everyone. Beautiful day here. Going to get out and enjoy it.
My scale is stuck. Hopefully some exercise will help burn those calories. But considering that I "did wrong" on my RM yesterday, I am lucky it did not go up. I had spaghetti and garlic bread and an ice cream cone. No veggie/no salad. Heatherd, as you can see, I am not in a position to lecture, but I think maybe you asked a question? " too much. we went out for lunch today. the buffalo wings were unnecessary.. at least i stayed on program i guess" If so, as you already noted, your portions were a bit large for a CM - and you should have had a veggie. Have a great day everyone. Patsy |

Hello everyone,
Judy, thank you for your kind words. I don't think I would be as anxious to go anywhere if I was unable to control what food I ate. I am not that fond of eating out, especially when DH or I usually make things a bit tastier at home. me heatherd, I certainly hope I am still losing. I will know when I take my measurements and step on the scale on my weigh in day on Oct. 3rd. DH and I completed our Bowflex workout last night and WATP is still scheduled for me this morning. I was talking to DH about not being able to do our Bowflex on Thursday and he suggested we bring our free weights. I didn't even know we had any, so once he told me about them, I told him to pack them. He said he also had some sort of band for us to do leg exercises with, so I told him to pack it too. I will be taking the WATP Power Walk for Friday and DH and I will use the free weights and band on Thursday and Saturday. I don't know whether or not we will have access to the internet. If we do, I will log in but if we don't, I will post when I can. My menu for yesterday included: CM: 2 cups of black coffee CM: Fried hot dogs and cucumber slices RM: Salad w/avocado, bacon bits, colby cheese, & ranch, and a choco bar (I decided to have dessert twice in a row since I don't expect to get an ice cream bar when I am gone) I took my chromium and drank plenty of water. How is everyone doing on this hump day?
Cindy Oraki and Monica thank you for the votes of support. I just really need this WOE to work so badly! 21 lbs gone and it's really something I think I can do even during the holidays. It feels good to be able to fit into stuff that was super tight before. I'm almost in my size 14 jeans! I ran out of eggs this morning (mental note, must go shopping) so I had some grilled shrimp. Haven't done a second CM today, my allergies are super bad and I feel icky so I have no appetite. Hmm, that reminds me.... I have to go to this Albertson's grocery store after work. It's a little bit out of the way but the CUTEST guy works the self check out lanes and he always smiles at me when I pay for my items. lol, LaraP.S. Oraki there's somthing in my book that says be careful with cottage cheese because it can cause cravings. Last edited by LaraSuzz : 09-24-2008 at 02:55 PM. Reason: forgot somethin |

Hi all! Welcome, Meheather! Best of luck to you!
![]() Lara, congrats on the loss! Keep up the good work! I haven't been posting as much, but believe me, I am here reading every day! I hope to be on here much more regularly as the weather gets colder and I'm not outside as much (note: not looking forward to that, however I do love Fall!) I've been busy getting things outside tidied up for the change of seasons. Today I cleaned a summer kitchen that we have (the older generations used this room as a kitchen to can in, but it doesn't have running water in it, but we do have a refrigerator in it). I'm hoping to make it into an area where I can do some crafts -- yep, I've got the "crafting" bug again! We'll see how far I go with this plan! ![]() Hope you all are well, and stick to your plans -- you're worth it!! See you later!

21 pounds is great!!!! Thanks for the info about cottage cheese. I know it can cause cravings for some but so far I'm doing great having it for breakfast with no cravings at all. Thanks for pointing this out. Sounds like a little flirting is in order with the Albertson's guy. ![]() |

Hey everyone!!!
The scale is down a pound this morning so I'm trying to keep my rm in check. I've even exercised for the last two days!! ![]() Over the weekend I decided to cook a few meals to have ready and that's really helping during the week. A few days I came home kinda hungry and that's not good. I just start eating whatever but this week I'm planning ahead and that definitely helps. KUTGW and keeping CADing along!!! Hate to say it, but summer is about over. It might be about time to start a fall thread. There are a tremendous number of posts in this one.
Great to have this many active people!!!!!! Might be intimidating to new people to have 99 pages of posts to read!!!!!! |

Good morning,
How wonderful for everyone feeling and seeing the results of working the plan. I am sitting in my motor home, drinking my morning coffee, with the fastest internet connection I have had in a very long time. For some strange reason DH computer is working properly so he doesn't need mine in order to access his. The trip to Reno was pleasant. I didn't leave home until 3 pm and stopped for a small amount of gas at an expensive gas station, so I would have plenty to get over the mountain. I knew I would be going by a Costco in Carson City, Nevada, and filled it up to 3/4 tank when I got there. I now have plenty of gas so my next trip will not begin with a trip to a gas station. DH decided to bring the car instead of his motorcycle. He left directly from work and met me at the RV park about 45 minutes after I arrived. I had the water connected and the power on when he arrived. I didn't take the time to go grocery shopping before I left and I didn't bother to make a stop on the way here, since DH had the car. Right after we finished dinner we put the cooler in the trunk and went to Wal Mart for the items that we needed. The weather prediction is 83 degrees today through Sunday. DH and I are going to be heading downtown to take some pictures as soon as I take my shower and get ready. I completed WATP-Waist yesterday morning and today is free weights and bands. My menu for yesterday included: CM: 2 cups of black coffee CM: Herbed chicken breast and green beans w/vinaigrette RM: Salad w/ranch, Hot dog w/colby cheese and homemade chili (no beans) I took my chromium and drank plenty of water. |

Hi girls...
Teri, we have a motor home too and take trips like what your doing. It's fun, isn't it?! 83 sounds good right about now, it's raining here and getting colder. Did you gamble and win?? Hope so. I think that is why I'm in such a funk now, the fall season makes me want to eat more. This whole past week I have been fighting the craving monster each night!! I haven't been taking my GTF either!! Maybe I need to get back on them, I just got out of the habit when I was sick 2 weeks ago, now I need to rein everything in. I will, it's just all habit, when I slack off, I tend to give up everything. I have been staying to my one meal though...for the most part, I did have a cm about 4 nights ago and it just made my cravings worse, so I need to stay away from those for now. Ugg....winter time!! Hey Steph!!!.......I just noticed your new stats!!! ![]() ![]() Your really going to town!!! I gasp when I saw that......196 whoo-hoo~!! ![]() Lara, you too!! 21 pounds is great!! I'm so glad the plan is working for you!! Keep up the great work!! Karen, I don't know how, maybe Angela will come in to change us over to winter time. Thanks for the reminder...how's it going for you? Me-, don't worry about the salad thing, I don't do salads too much either, you can always add another serving of cooked veggies, this is what the Hellers say we can do. Your doing great, hun!! Keep up the good work! Your meals look great. ![]() I'm having a cobb salad, banana shake, mango strips, gold fish, candy bar. I fixed a really good tasting beef stew the other day and have been eating off that for the last couple of days...with hot biscuits!! I also made some blackberry jam from my hard picked berries....it tasted good but it didn't set up, it was runny, but it still tasted good. I may add it to corn syrup and pour it over french toast. I'll do some reading and catching up and get back later. ![]() |

I think Mother Nature has us programmed to eat during the "harvest" season to get ready for winter. All that instinct stuff!!!
I am holding steady, but not losing. But been really hectic, etc. Trying to committ to 30 minutes of activity, 5 times a week. Hopefully that will help. But I keep up every day, just not much to report. Just hoping everybody else is holding or losing!!! (just opposite of what you want in casinos!!!) |
