Barb - the meeting went well. I decided to have a protein shake at noon and usually I don't eat anything before the 5:30 meeting. Well, I weighed myself before the shake and I was the same weight as my meeting last week - which I would have been thrilled at. But, because I had the shake, when I went to the meeting I was up 2 lbs. No big deal though - it will all even out because I want to have a protein shake at noon every weds. before my meeting so that I'm not starving when I go to the meeting.
Stephanie -yeah, I hate that I gained 7 lbs.of water weight from eating salty fast food a few times. But, the good news - is that I lost 5 out of 7 lbs. in 3 days! I would have lost the full 7 out of 7 - if I didn't drink a protein shake before my meeting, lol! Teri - That's great that your DD got a good deal on the new car Dana - I sure know what you mean about being the only one that cleans the home and kids and husband don't care and they're always messing it up! I love getting my cleaning and laundry done early in the day - but then my kids mess it up. So, sometimes I wait and do everything right before dinner. It just depends on the day. Sorry, I can't give any advice about your DD. My kids are 3 and 1, and I know I'm a pretty easy going Mom, and not too strict. My dh is much more firm and strict than I am. However, I'm learning to not let my DD3 get away with everything. She's very independent, opinionated and demanding. I'm trying to teach her to not always be this way. She's been having a lot of time outs lately. I have to teach her that she will not be allowed to get away with it. Hello to everyone else ![]()

You're doing great Momma Patty! Maybe the best way for you to do it is just take it day by day. Maybe somedays you'll be hungrier and eat a CM or two and other days maybe you won't be as hungry and you can just have the 1 RM. Somedays, I just see how hungry I am and eat the meals accordingly. I love the days where I am happy with just 1 meal a day. |

Patty your CM sounds good. Yum.
Flower glad the water weight came off so fast for you. You have a great attitude toward it all. I am having my RM now. I did a lot of work today and I started to get shakey and so I decided to have it early and if I get hungry later I will have some of the catfish that I am making for supper and some veggies. |

Hi Everyone -
Well I am finally at work after dropping my dog off at "camp" for while I'm gone and getting all those last minute "pre-trip" things done. I had to soak my plants since we're having a horrible heatwave here in N. Calif at the moment. It was 85 degrees in my bedroom last night and still the same at 6am this morning - with the windows open! I'm so thankful to be in AC right now - then to dinner with a friend after work and off to the airport. I'm not sure I'm going to make it all the way till dinner for my RM today - I may wind up needing a little cm soon since I'm used to having my RM about 1pm each day. I'm also a little disappointed with the scale this morning - up again a pound to 154.5. But I'm still keeping the faith - I know that Indian Buffet yesterday was too heavy for me, combined with ovulation and this heat wave, it's too much. I just wish I was heading off on my vacation at my lowest, but oh well! ![]() Well just wanted to give you all a quick "hug" before I go - I'll probably be back later this afternoon before I leave work, but I'm not sure as I have a feeling it's going to be a busy one to prepare for being out. Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your plans - -Tink

I just went down to the backyard to see if my plants needed watering.. with all the rain we have had I wasn't sure. But they did, and guess what I found. A red ripe strawberry! So you better believe I pulled that thing off and ate it! Oh man was it ever good!!!!! So the hanging garden thing really does work! Okay going to get my son from preK, just wanted to share my excitement! Now if my tomatoes would just grow.. |

Patty, I am using the Topsy Turvy planters that you can hang on your patio or on your deck where the animals can't get to them! That might be an idea for you.

Hi girls!!!
I lost another 1.5 pds, so I'm only 2.5 away from my lowest! I was shocked, since yesterday was a buffet and I was not shy!! I had 2 plates of food and one plate of deserts! And I started that new med, which by the way really helped my arm and I think it also helped with the swelling, I lost 2 inches in the lower tummy and 2 in the waist(new number here 33) and one inch in the bust, so I was swollen there too! I'm wearing shorts today, as it's hot!! Finally got some sun.I have added two new vitamins to my list, vit.D and coconut oil soft gel. So I don't know if my this has helped too with the loss and inch loss? Lucille, I was so suprised to not have any hunger pains with the all sugar meal! And to top it off I lost the next day and then proceeded to have a potluck yesterday and still a loss again today!! Maybe my body was getting ready to lose it anyway and the swelling does get better everyday, so who knows, but it does encourage me to do better with my meals, so I did a shake and tortilla chips for my RM. Dana, thank you, hun, I love your support, it helps me so much!! ![]() Jen!! Welcome to the cad family, you are doing good on the plan! If you have any questions, just ask, all of us love to help each other!! Sorry, I haven't read the Beck book. Again, hun, and give cad 2 weeks to get a good balance and then you'll see results!!![]() Hi Barb!! Thank you!! Your looking good yourself and I love your new pic with the dress! I haven't had a dress on since school!! Maybe once I get to goal, I'll try again....being so short, they just don't look good on me, same with skirts, butttt....I just found a couple of skirts that look pretty good, so I did buy them, but haven't found the right shoe yet, I need a sandel, but can't wear open toe at work... so I'm still searching for that perfect low heel shoe!Tink, Oh My!!! I did try the slim fast ONCE! Just recently, and I was in the bathroom all day....oh, my tummy hurt...too much fiber!!! So once I found my shakes and they were o.k., thats what I will stick with, although they are spendy, but they are low carb(7-8) and only 70 cal. if you make it with water only, which I don't, mine end up to be high carb, but they don't taste bad all by thenselves, either.Well, girls I have to go to town and get stuff to make a pinapple cake for the BBQ at work tomorrow, I don't work, but all the dept. managers are suppose to bring something. I may make it today and take it up there. See ya..

A question for you girls. I know that Rachael said that you could have one cup of coffee in the morning with milk I believe. Does anyone of hand know how much milk you can put in it or cream? I know that is supposed to be drunk in 15 min.

Hi Patty!! I think it was just that I've been holding all this water weight and swelling for 2 months, that it decided to let go, so i don't think it was because I ate like that, it was just time.
Anyway, I just looked in the book for you. You can have milk, or cream or half and half....2 ounces per day in your coffee, or cooking, but not non-dairy creamers!! Have a good day Patty! |

Thanks Cindy...I am just so proud of all that you have accomplished my Dear. I think I am having trouble right now because of the new medicine I am taking, but hope that my body adjusts to it soon. You are also healing and it takes a lot of calories for you to heal...

Patty, I just can't have one cup of coffee and be done with it in 15 minutes... so I can't help you on that one. Oh I see where Cindy just answered your question. So there you go! I am a serious coffee addict and I know it. But I can tell you with certainty that it does not cause cravings for me. (oops, sorry, we were posting at the same time! I think I saw a post from Cheri not long ago so she's still around as far as I know!)
I think my RM tonight is going to be chicken tortilla soup. It's got chicken broth, chicken breast, avocado, rice, onion, cilantro, salsa, and crushed up tortilla chips. Either that, or migas, like I used to get at Mexican restaurants when I lived in San Antonio. If you don't know about Tex-Mex migas, they are scrambled eggs with a bunch of veggies and corn tortillas mixed in. Doesn't sound great but believe me, they are the BOMB!! Then for dessert... I made a GORGEOUS lemon curd the other day and I am planning to spread that on a scone. Heavenly. I'm planning to go a little carb heavy tonight and that's okay! Like I tell my family.. I only eat once a day and if I want it, I can have it! Most days I'm sure to get a bunch of veggies in and keep my RMs in balance. Or I try to, anyway. Cindy, I know what you mean about how frustrating it is to shop for clothes. I am very tall so I have a hard time finding things that are long enough! Especially jeans, or capri pants in the summertime. I don't know if I will ever see a 33 inch waist measurement! I am comfy in a size 14 right now, and I always said that I would call goal once I got to a 14. I'm not quite there yet though, still got the muffin top. Blecch. My SIL tells me I need to exercise more, do crunches and all of that and maybe that's true but if it takes hundreds of crunches a day to get rid of it, I'll have this muffin top forever. Because I'm not gonna do it. *stamps foot* haha I'm just thrilled to be wearing clothes that I didn't buy in the plus size section! Okay, off to decide on dinner. I'll see y'all REALLY early in the morning since I'm still pulling a ridiculously early morning shift at work.

Dana, i had to get back on my coffee too. I had no energy at all while I was off of it. I just started drinking it again this week and the first day back, I cleaned for 10 hrs. straight, I had so much energy... I drink coffee most of the day, but only the first cup with creamer.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!
Has anyone done CAD while breastfeeding. I am really trying hard to do the entry phase but I have to admit I have been having a snack between lunch and my RM. My DD is 10 months old so I am not worried about my supply or her nutritional needs being met but I think it does cause me to actually be hungry. I haven't had that crazy "binge-y" feeling in the last few days which is freeing but I get really plain hungry, a CM snack fixes it but it isn't as strict as would want to be I should also mention that I don't eat dinner until after the kids go to bed so it is pretty late. My husband and I have dinner together.....kind of a date, without the kids. Good for the marriage bad for the waistline.![]() Looking at all the stats I am greatly encouraged and you are all very motivating!

Man am I sore! I worked my my buns off today (I wish)! I got so much planted. It feels great. I've only had my RM today and I think I am going to make some tea and call "kitchen closed".
Tink sounds like it's warm there. Enjoy dinner with your friend and have a safe trip. Dana glad you got a strawberry. That's exciting! Your RM sounds good. I think a size 14 is good. I love to be a 14. Way to Go Cindy! Glad your swelling is going down and you are losing those inches. That is awesome. I bet it is so much fun shopping now! Patty today I forgot to finish my coffee with cream within 15 minutes but I stopped once I realized. I rarely drink it anymore. But it's funny because today I worked so much in the garden and it was the first i had coffee in a while. Maybe I should start drinking it more often. I hope you ladies have a nice evening. I'll try to check in later.

Jen, personally I would do CAD and nurse. I would make sure to have the CM's though. I nursed my children and as long as you are not their only food supply it is safe to lose weight!

and I would have the snack also. You are actually burning more calories nursing than when prgnant. So I would have the snack. And plenty of water.

Patty,
You look so much smaller in your whole body shot than a close up on the face. That is really good. I'm doing well. Went to a covered dish tonight and watched it closely since I have my RM at lunch. Usually, I'd be eating still after I got home. Love the control that we have with this plan. Judy |
