Mikeysmommy, those sweet potato fries look so good. Did you make them yourself? I've tried a couple of times, but mine are always limp. Any suggestions?

Good Morning ladies....
I had the worst night that I ever had. The itching was just more then I could stand. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night... I am giving up on finding whatever the cause of it is. I have been trying to figure this thing out for the last 5 years... All of you have a wonderful Day... |

Oh, Patty! I'm so sorry you had a rough night! I'm sitting here now, trying not to scratch my poor little finger. I know it can drive you crazy. Have you ever heard of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)? It's a really interesting approach to all kinds of problems and I've read about it extensively for some time. I've used it some and have experienced some small changes and think it has real possibilies. It wouldn't hurt to try it for your itching. Information about it is free, too! Google EFT and find their site. I figure that nothing ventured is nothing gained.

Down 0.4 # today, but that takes me to 32# gone! It's not going quite as quickly as it was at the beginning, but my weekly averages are still going down. I want to get below 170 by the end of this week. We were at a youth group party last night, and they had some wonderful nachos and absolutely luscious chocolate cake that I had to serve; I had already had my RM, so I had to fight off the urges! It's getting close to TOM, so I really wanted the chocolate. But I know how badly I want to get below 170 - I haven't seen it in years!! So, I skipped the nachos and brought the cake home. I really had to pray for strength; God reminded me that many times I go off His plan for immediate gratification. But it's never worth it in the morning! So, I tried to apply this to my eating. Stephanie, it's like in your signature: I'm thankful for my blessings and His grace!
Keep on going on the journey, ladies!

Quick hello - 155.5 today - big day at work today - I did have an additional cm last night - cucumber, fresh mozarella, hard boiled egg.
Lots to do today - hopefully will be able to check in tonight! Thinking of you all- Amy ps - someone asked about Champagne dressing - it's Girrards brand - sort of a triangular bottle - I stock up when it goes on sale because it's a bit pricey compared to others, but so yummy - sort of an Italian, but with a slightly different flavor. mmmmm. |

Good morning,
I am so behind on personals and since I am still on dial-up, there is no way I can catch up, sorry. I would like to say congratulations to everyone, since we are all here trying to find our way to our goals. Laurie, on my way home from my folks yesterday, I heard Melissa Lawson's song on the radio. Apparently the radio does a cat fight between two artists and she was up against Blake Shelton. They were tied until someone called and voted for her, so her song won. Melissa has a very strong, lovely voice and I am sure she will do very well. Our visit with my grandma went well yesterday. DD19 and I drove in my car and got there around 11:15 a.m. DD23 and DS18 drove in a separate vehicle and arrived at 12:15 p.m. My mom had chocolate chip cookie dough all made up and ready for me to bake since I arrived when I did. I am so glad I took my lunch with me because everyone was eating warm cookies and after about an hour it was lunch time. When I became hungry, I ate my lunch instead of becoming a cookie monster. I wish I would have grabbed a couple to enjoy with my RM but I didn't think about that. Grandma was feeling much better yesterday considering she was so sick the last three days, she couldn't get out of bed. Grandma was out of bed yesterday and never went back the whole time we were there. Everyone was laughing and having a really good time when the kids starting telling stories of their childhood. We stayed all day and didn't leave until 6:00 p.m. When we left my folks house we stopped at my sisters. We visited for about an hour and finally headed home. All three kids drove home in DD23 truck, so I was on my own. I got a call from DH when I was heading home and since he was still in town, I asked him to wait for me so we could eat dinner together. We ate at a fast food restaurant since it was 8:45 p.m. and wanted to get home at a decent time. I completed WATP yesterday and today is Bowflex. My menu for yesterday included: CM: 2 cups of black coffee CM: Pork chop and green beans w/vinaigrette RM: Chicken taco salad w/beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese & guacamole in a fried Flour Tortilla Shell I took my chromium and drank plenty of water. |

Monica, thanks for the pic of the sweet potato fries. They look wonderful. My DH is especially fond of sweet potatoes and I know he'll love these. I hadn't thought to look for them in the frozen food section. I hope I can find them.

Hoppinn, I'm still grinning! We're playing a wedding tomorrow night for friends from church. A lot of folks that will be there have never heard the band. We're trying to cater more to their tastes, though, and we're bringing a guitar player who sings and plays a lot of old rock 'n roll. It'll be fun, I'm sure! I'm still following the plan, although the weight is stubborn. But I'm determined not to give up! ![]() |

Hi girls....it's really late, but I wanted to pop in real quick....
Shelagh....start the Braggs with a tea, I used a peach flavored one, then only use alittle and taste it, then add as you get used to it. I am up to 1/2c in 12 oz of juice or fruit smoothies. I always use it in my coleslaw. Anything you would use vinegar for....salad dressings. I love the taste now and I used to hate the taste of vinegar! But I started out slow, some times I put too much in and it makes me choke for a second or two... ![]() No, I'm not an R.N., I think Pam asked that, I'm a respiratory therapist. Love, love, love my job!! Patty, the baby was a perfect 10!!! I hope your itching can be firgured out, keep working on it and you'll find it. We had a nice day today, went out for chinese buffet, shopping (got some nice summer clothes...on SALE!!), then went tanning and then out in the woods for blackberry picking....found 1/2 gallon!!! Yummers!! I froze them for later. I will have to check them when we get back from vacation because there were alot of red ones. Vacation is this Monday!!! We have decided to go to yellowstone park, after we visit his mom. So now I'm excited to go.Tomorrow's lunch will be lasgana, texas toast, desert of some kind. I already made the lasgana tonight...boxed kind.... Too lazy for the real stuff.I'm off to bed, I'll check in tomorrow girls...have a good night... This CAD girl is signing off.... ![]()

Sheila, I have the same problem. Up two pounds, down two pounds, up again.....I haven't seen a new number in ages, but I'm sticking to the plan. I can't blame TOM either, but menopause sure stopped me in my tracks.

Hi gals,
Had a really rough night on Wed. I was vomitting all night! Not sure what happened, no one else in the family was sick. I guess I had a 24 hour bug. Anyway, I wasn't on plan but I barely ate at all. A few bread sticks to settle my stomach and then some bland rice. I was down 2 pounds this morning! Eek! Not good, but I will get them back this weekend. I feel better and have lot's of bbq's. Cindy - I will try the Braggs out in my tea. I have been scared to try it as I had no idea how to use it! lol Sheila - hope you lose those 2 pounds again. It's a process but you will get to goal! Teri - what a nice visit you had with your grandma. It sounds like it was really great for her too. Laurie - have fun playing at the wedding. I'm sure your band will be a big hit. I admire our tenacity with staying on plan and not giving up! Pamela - you are a coffee drinker like me! Must be our name! lol I often have 3 cups of regular in a day and some decaf! yikes! Mind you, research says that a couple of cups of coffee are good for preventing breast cancer and I think heart disease (don't quote me on that one though)! Monica - those sweet potatoes look great. I will keep an eye out for the packaged ones. we don't get a lot of the stuff you do here in Canada unfortunately. Oraki - your menu looks great! Amy - any plans for the weekend? Angela - I have been putting the coconut oil on my feet (and then putting on socks) as my feet are very rough. I have been a runner since age 10 and my feet can prove it! Anyway, I think they are definately softer already! I have used a bit on my face too! Hi to everyone else. HAve a great weekend and stay on plan! Pam |

Hi Ladies,
Yup, I am in the same boat - weight not changing. I was down 6 and then it went up and then staying at 4 pounds down for WEEKS with no change! So, last night I decided to put myself on a calorie limit. I start that today. We'll see how that goes. Hubby comes home tonight. Home only for the weekend and then back he goes across the water. I can't wait until that rental is remodeled so he can come back home. Oh as of yesterday baby is now STANDING!!!! He has to hold on but boy does he pull himself up quick! he also got his first tooth on Wednesday!!! It's been a busy week for baby! He turns 1 this next Thursday! ![]() |
