oraki I was thinking last night when I had the Big Mac and Fries that food in both hands does not make a balanced meal -BUT you are right! It sure was tasty!
Picture the Hives and 10 times that with my Itching 24/7. The Dr. said that I have inflamed cells and all we can do is treat it, unless I can find by accident, what is causing it.

Ya, Gizmo is a doll. She named him from a characture out of a scarry movie, but I can't think of the name of it right now. Dawn said he looks just like that monster.

I can't even imagine having that kind of crazy itching!!!
I really feel for you! I can't even begin to imagine what you deal with.
Oh and you are talking about GREMLINS the movie
I love that movie by the way! I always joke around with hubby saying in that little Gizmo voice BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT MOGWAI No like light! (if he turns the light on in the bedroom and I had my eyes closed and the light is too bright!)
I think I must be PART MOGWAI because you are never under any circumstances suppose to feed one after midnight and if I eat after midnight I gain lots of weight!

I made it thru the day!! So tired, I am going to bed at 9pm because I have to get up at 5 am, ugh!!!

Food was ok today but counting calories is hard.. I had around 1400 t0day ( I think).. cm was 2 hard boiled eggs

RM- raisin bran, milk, banana, chocolate, coffee = 1000 cal..

Total carbs but within my hour, also took lots of vitamins...

I am not hungry, not craving, feel well just real tired( getting old)

I packed my lunch for tomorrow.. around 4 oz. lean pork chop, mayo., green beans= 450 cals; 4 carbs

The kitty is so cute, I have a stray who turned out to be so cute and rules the roost. I also have 2 dogs, brother and sister ,from the pound

Teri, congrats , you are doing so well.

Patti, is it cellulitis that you have??

Cindi.. are you trying the points. They are too much work for me, I will try counting calories but I think we can have more because of the cad thing.I will watch Oraki, may join ww, but in the future.

Oh always tweeking!!! But Oraki and angela are on the right track with less food. Only took me 3 months to figure that one out, duh!!!

Just a quickie for now, as usual it seems! We had the Old Lady Swim (all the ladies in the family - young and old - come out for lunch and swimming). Even though I'm doing Atkins right now, I did lunch as an RM so I could taste some of the things that the others contributed to the meal. It was delicious!

We are getting ready for SIL's wedding this week and so I'm still really busy! I ordered a skirt and top for DS's wedding in Sept. and now I just need to find shoes that I like! So much stuff going on!

I talked with my brother and SIL is home from the hospital and the new baby is doing well! She will still be in the hospital for a few weeks because she is too little and isn't able to feed on her own yet.

Here's a picture he emailed to me today....

WOE: CAD....had TT/BL 3/24/08 start Simeons 11/ 08
Start Date: 12/18/05...restart cad one meal a day. 3/07
I'm getting ready to go home, girls.
Shelagh, I'm glad your first day went well, I have to get up early too, and I'm usually in bed by 9. So I know how you feel. I don't think I can manage the point system...I'm still trying to get the balance thing down... after two years, I don't think it's gonna happen. I am trying to just eat less food at my RM's, thats about all I can manage. I am close to goal and I'm just having a hard time being strct again, I kinda like the maintance mode I'm in... It's really fun, cause I get to pig out still and not have to worry about the scales in the morning, it stays the same....

I had leftover spagettii, cheese tortilla, blackberry pie, rubbarb pie, ice cream, cookie(yuk), yup all from the bake sale....I also bought a blackberry pie to take home. I'll portion that up and freeze it for myself. I LOVE that pie!!

Have a good night everyone!!

I wouldn't worry about balancing if I didn't have to. It doesn't seem to be an issue for you. If it's not broke then don't fix it.

Man that rm sounds pretty delicious. I've never tried rhubarb pie though...sounds interesting.

I can't wait to get to maintenance mode...whew that's a long way away for me though. You've been diligent to CAD and your hard work has paid off.

Keep it up!

Oraki- You are doing so well that it's making me rethink what I eat during my RM. When I was on Weight Watchers, I had a point calculator that i used to keep track of my intake, and it worked really well. It's basically counting calories and portions plus keeping it nutritionally balanced... and you start out knowing how many points you get total based on your weight.

Do you think that it's easier to do when you are on a points basis or when you count calories?

The weight is coming of stedily but I sure would like it to come off faster.

Has anyone else tried the points system?

Lara
Congrats on the loss!!! That's great!! For me it's easier to count points. At first it was a bit of a pain because I was new to the plan but after a while it became second nature. I tried counting calories once and it just didn't work for me.

It sounds like you're doing great with CAD. Keep up the good work!!

I feel lots better now...TOM finally showed up and all of a sudden I feeel the drop in appetite, thats really strange when you tune into it and see how the body works.

Tomorrow will be a down day, so maybe just a shake and popcorn....I still like to munch on down days....

I'm heading home soon, so I'll see you all tomorrow...have a good night, girls!!
You're not a piggy! You just like to enjoy your rm. What are down days?? I'm assuming there's an up day too? Is this another variation of CAD?

Hi Everyone -
Just did a quick read through to try to stay in touch while busy. Had a good CAD day, perhaps a little bit of a carby RM, but not too bad

CM - 2 hard boiled eggs
Coffee w/cream mid morning
RM - big bowl granola cereal w/milk, cantaloupe, strawberries, greek yogurt w/stevia
CM - fresh mozzarella, dill pickle and cucumber slices, drizzle of balsamic vinegar

It's been awhile since I've had 2 cms - but I felt like I needed something tonight when I got home so I went for it. I'm pretty tired tonight - think it will be an early one.

Keep up the good work everyone -

-Amy

SHE WON! SHE WON!

I'm so excited. We just watched the final Nashville Star and our friend, Melissa Lawson won it, as well she should. I'm so proud that I worked with and encouraged her when she was 17-18 years old. And then we were her band for about a year when she started doing gigs. I knew she was special. I'm also proud that the voters didn't discriminate against her because of her size. It doesn't matter. She has the voice of an angel.

Whew, now I can calm down.

This thread is hopping so much, I can't begin to do many personals, but I'll say that you've all been so encouraging to me and even though I haven't lost much (maybe two pounds), I'm still working this WOE and plan to continue until I get it right.

Hi Ladies-

I'm really trying to get on here more. I am glad everyone is doing so well on their plans.

Cindy thanks for answering my question about the chromium.

Linda that picture is so sweet. I hope the baby continues to do well. Glad you had a good time at your swimming party.

Patty I hope you find what's making you itch.

I am down 2.5 pounds since Sunday. I am so happy I tried CAD again and am really serious this time. I also think it helps that I am not coming off of another plan. It was really hard for me to see that gain I would always have when I would go from Atkins to CAD. This time I wasn't following anything and the pounds were creeping up. It's nice to see them go back down.

Hope everyone has a great day. Hi to all those who know me and to the others that don't.

CM: a salad with shredded cheese, homemade ranch dressing and a small amount of tomatoes
CM: half of a cucumber dipped in homemade ranch
RM: half of a BBQ chicken breast, 1 sweet corn on the cob, a few sips of coke, a couple bites of low carb ice cream, a small mug of fruity pebbles, and 2 smallish keylime bars.

Went a little bit overboard with the nuts at the RM yesterday. I know those calories add up FAST, so I think I'll cut them out completely.
So far, so good at the conference. I know i'm eating a lot of sodium - it seems impossible to avoid at restaurants.

Thanks for answering the CLA question, Cindy. I think I can tell a difference since i've been taking it. The other thing I learned somewhere around here was about Biotin! I've been taking it for about a month and my nails look great! I type a lot and usually keep them short to avoid breakage but they're really really strong! I think it helped myh hair, too but I just cut it last week, so can't tell if it grew a lot!!

Off to pilates and my conference!

Good Morning
156 on the scale so down .5 - I'll take it.

I hadn't watched Nashville Star yet because I recorded it last night but I'm so excited to know that Melissa won! The fact that her life is about to change dramatically (& for her family too) is so wonderful. Dreams do come true! You could tell she was the best and that the doors had been opened for her from the exposure whether she won or not -- I was worried though that they were going to go for the "cute little thing" because that's what we see as the big stars all the time - so glad America voted for the best!!! I can't wait to watch it now and congrats Laurie - you should be proud of the role you played in her career - and how exciting that her husband found you just in time to perform in her home town concert! And thanks for sharing it with us - I feel a part of all the fun through you

Time to get moving - another good food day for me today is my plan!
- Amy

I guess you could call it that. The Dr. just said that it was inflamed cells. Something, is not agreeing with me, but they can't find out what is causing it It does come from my stomach, for when it gets upset then I start itching.
