Oh! I thought I had insulted you. Glad I didn't!

You seem to be doing well, maybe nothing is wrong at all. I would just suggest eliminating as many chemicals from your life as possible, you seem to be very sensitive to so many things. Look at everything you use-- shampoos, soaps, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, toothpaste, mouthwash, skin care, cosmetics, the works--- you'd be surpised how many toxic chemicals are in those doing their best to knock our health down without us even knowing it. There are healthier alternatives to all these things. Then look at what you are actually eating and drinking. Read the labels, eat as naturally and raw as you possible can. Look at your supplements you are taking-- are they natural vitamins from whole food sources, or are they just chemicals made in a lab that mimic vitamins? Also look at what your food is actually IN-- plastic is a huge health inhibitor, it releases bisphenol-A which hurts your thyroid... especially older pieces that have been heated and re-used and washed in the dishwasher, etc. Also, avoid the microwave like the plague... it kills your food of whatever nutrients might have been in there.

Another thing is to make sure you are eating the proper amount of calories. Maybe you are eating too little? Too much? Try to eat your BMR in calories. Actually count out a few days and see where you are at with fat, protein and carb ratios. Look at Oraki and myself-- we are sticking to a certain amount and we are LOSING! (and hardly suffering.)

You are already shaking your little bootie off, so you are certainly doing GREAT there!

Angela, I am afraid Hon, that I am just stuck. There is no way that I can subsitute all those things where I live and can't afford to have it delivered, if I could have delivery our here. We live in a very small town and no alternative...but thinks for the input.

I have been reading the old posts over and over again. One thing that really sticks out with Steph and Cindy is that if they dont lose or even gain they just say " oh well" . They dont give up like I do and after a year thet each have lost a lot of weight

Patty, keep up the good work

Angela, thanks for the advice about the pie. I am off pie. I bought some strawberries and will have them with steak and coleslaw for RM.... I wish it was feasible to remove all chemicals from our life but I am listening to you and learning... So now "" CAN YOU HELP ME GET RID OF MY WRINKLES""

LOVE ya

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all of the support regarding baby bunny. It's been rough. Someone told me the other day something "He lived a good life! He had all the food he needed, a warm place to sleep and lots of love!" I suppose when it came down to it, when you look at it like that "lived a good life" even though it was only 5 weeks and a few days - it was a good one! I take comfort in that!
The scale this morning was down .5 - I'll take it
Anything in the right direction is STILL in the direction I want it headed!
It's almost noon and I have only had 2 slices of lean ham and coffee.
I am baking another pork loin since that was so yummy this last week.
I want to make some deviled eggs too! Just need to get motivated to do it!
Baby was up MANY times during the night (maybe teething?) so I didn't get much sleep.
All of the talk about poisons in our things that we use daily is really pretty scary. I know it happens though -just like you said $$$$$$.
So many crazy things in our products! I remember years ago when I found out that they put pee in some make-up! I was like
Did you guys see that movie sweet misery about artificial sweeteners?
You guys all have a wonderful on plan day!

Monica

Monica - I haven't seen sweet misery but it sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Shelagh - I agree that Cindy and Steph have amazing attitudes and they just keep going, which has obviously worked for them. It really is all about mindset.

Laurie - I get e-mails from Dr. Mercola's site and while he is radical, it is very interesting.

Oraki - what did the official scale say? I hope you got good news!

Teri - glad to hear DS is better. I hope your grandma is as comfortable as she can be. I always wanted glasses! I thought they were such a cool accessory!

My problem is, I "know" a lot about this stuff, yet I am (was) very stubborn about it. I think I am getting better though because as I get older, I realize that it's more about being healthy than being thin. I want to be around for my kids for a long time. For those interested in preventing breast cancer, I see the top specialist in Ontario, and they have a dietician on hand. She told me to eat a lot of plant-based foods and to make sure my meats are lean, free-range and unprocessed. Also, soy is good in moderation, but not whey. Hope this helps!

RM today was at brunch because we were celebrating BIL's birthday. I was VERY impressed with myself as I didn't go overboard and I think my choice was healthy considering I was in a breakfast place. I had a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and jam, a fruit cup and two cups of coffee. I will most likely need a CM tonight so that will be beef or a veggie dog (no bun) and veggies (not wure which ones though)!

We are sitting here watching 101 Dalmatians - the original cartoon. I love this movie and so do my kids. DD's and DH are eating Smart Food and I am not in the least bit interested in any! Still full from brunch!

Have a great day everyone and stay on plan!

Pam

WOE: CAD....had TT/BL 3/24/08 start Simeons 11/ 08

Hi everyone!!

Tom is due any day and man have I been having a hard time with cravings this time...I have had horrible cravings at night time and been tempted to eat a cm of eggs or something...ANYTHING!!! But I held out and after a couple of hours, the cravings went away....but my RM's are horrendous...huge even....can't get enought to eat type of hunger...my tummy is so full that it hurts and I still want something else??? Jeesh!! So I took my CLA and am here to talk to you gals.
I hate it when those tom cravings and hunger get bad...I won't give in though, because I know that food will not cure the cravings, it will only make me want more!
It will be gone in a day or two and boy when tom finally does get here, I sure can tell the difference...I will not be hungry at all, in fact I'll have to remember to eat type of hunger. Hormones....you can keep them, I can't wait til menopause...I just don't want the hotflashes.

Patty, the coconut oil helped my hair, thats where I seen the difference, I don't ever need lotions, I have neither dry or oily skin, well, I take that back...wintertime, my hands get so dry!! But I drag the shea butter out and that takes care of that.

QVC has 24 hours of fashion on today, so thats where I've been....no sleep last night either, gotta watch all the fall clothes.
It felt like fall here the other day when we had a wind and rain storm, that a was a weird feeling, I haven't had my vacation yet!!! We leave the 11th, so I hope it will be nice and hot!!

I won't tell you what I had for lunch, but lets just ssy...I was on plan..

Cindy I am just the opposite. I have great hair but dry skin. Of course I am not on HRT anymore and I believe that is why I am having so much trouble with the itching and dry skin. I am seriously thinking about having my Dr. put me back on Clamara. I don't ever remember itching while I was on it. I wish I knew for sure what the date was when my other Dr. took me off of HRT. They have new studies done now saying that HRT will not hurt you. I may even make an appointment next week to see him and see what I can get done...

Cindy You probably don't have trouble with your skin because you are still making Estrogen. I had a Hist. done back in 1990 and I haven't been the same since... I might even be able to get off most of the meds, if I get back on HRT.

The Weight Watchers scale said 226.8!! I lost 2.2 pounds and I FINALLY saw a new number! Man I'm so happy!! I looked back at my previous weigh ins and I've been bouncing back and forth between the same 2-3 pounds since my 4/3 weigh in. No wonder I've been so frustrated. I'm so glad I decided to give CAD another try. I think I've finally found a winning combo!!

I'm dealing with TOM too. I was on plan today but I've had better rms. It wasn't that bad but it wasn't that great either. It was more carby than I would normally eat. I'm going to blame it on TOM and keep on moving along.

Have a great evening everyone!

Gee Patty, I feel for you guys being so dry over there!
I noticed that the new moon here tonight was on it's back....a sure sign of more wet ahead!! My Dad was just saying too that the long forecast is for unsettled weather right up til October!!Not so keen on the sound of that though!!

When you spoke of being as hungry as a horse, you reminded we that we used to have a restaurant here the year I started my nursing in 76 which was called Hungry Horse! All the truckies would park on the main road beside it! Shame it is gone now cos it had a really neat smorgasboard Can't ya tell I LOVE food ! Well, cya all tomorrow folks....... funny but it is very quiet here this time of the night Sweet dreeams ..............
