I just made me a pot of coffee with cinnamon in it and boy that curbed my appetite. I may have to do that more often...
I made a big salad for dinner. I think I missed my veggies last night, and that is what I was craving, anyway we will see. |

Is the fruit flush part of CAD? I can't eat spenda at all. It leaves the most horrible taste in my mouth all day. I had a bad day. I was washing and bagging strawberries from our 2 patches and my back go to really aching after 3 hr. So I took a little nap but didn't eat good all day. Nothing horrendous but not CAD. I know how good I feel when I limit my carbs to evening so I must get back to it.

Hi Carol -
No it's another plan that some other folks here on LCF have done - there's a thread at FRUIT FLUSH if you want to check it out - I stumbled across it when checking out other postings. I LOVE fresh strawberries - I'm going to go by the patch tomorrow morning and get plenty to get me through the next couple of days - I always wonder about the folks out in the field picking - it looks back breaking! Take care. |

No, the fruit flush isn't part of cad....we only get fruit during the RM only. Now some people will do an all fruit RM though, Oriana does that sometimes, it helps with stalls, or like I do, I'll do a lower portion RM or do a popcorn RM with a small something with the popcorn. It's just tweaks that some of us do, after we've been on cad for a long time. Oriana has been on cad for over 10 years, I'm starting year 3 on cad. I hope that helps to explain things and if it didn't, then just ask again.
![]() Oops, Tink, we posted at the same time, I'm a slow typer!! ![]() Speaking of fruit, Bill bought the Jack La Lane juicer, and so far he has done one drink... I may give it a try, it did real good at juicing the carrots, and got alot of juice out of the carrots, I didn't think it would.

I sure hope that I didn't overdo it tonight on my meal. I sure would like to see a loss in the morning, but I know that we can't have a loss every day.

Hi gals!
Patty - cinnamon lowers blood sugar so that is a great thing to have. I find coffee and tea really curb my appetite as well. I hope you see a loss tomorrow too! Cindy - When did he biy the juicer? Do you think he will actually use it a lot? We bought the Magic Bullet years ago and have yet to make one darn thing with it! LOL! Now I don't buy anything related to cooking without really thinking about it! Tink - good luck with the fruit flush! I may try an all fruit RM one of these days, as every once in awhile I crave fruit! Carol - ouch, your back must be killing after all of that. I have learned for myself, that if I go off plan, the best thing I can do is to forgive myself and get back on asap. In the past I would beat myself up and I think that would lead to more binges and off-plan eating. The faster I would "shake-it-off" the better it would be. Maybe that will work for you too! RM: Turkey burger half a corn-on-the-cob 100 calorie brownie fudge ice cream (Breyers - so good)! Russell Stover low sugar pecan delight - yum! small piece of Arrow dark Delish! My kids didn't nap at daycare which is pretty rare, so they were super cranky and went to bed early. I am VERY lucky to have two amazing sleepers! They sleep 12-13 hours every night and they go to bed between 6:30-7pm. I am about to do my Fusion pilates dvd but I got sidetracked by Coronation Street (anyone watch it? It is a British soap, popular in Canada) and the computer! Have a good night! Pam |

I'm bursting with protein shakes! Feels weird to be this full all day long! I sure hope I see some results from this
Of course you all will be the first to know! I'm looking forward to my fruit days - although it's a LOT of fruit as well, so I may be bursting from that too - LOL!Pam I hear that the magic bullet is great - I have a friend who loves hers for smoothies, etc. I treated myself to a Vita-Mix this past birthday and I've yet to use it because I started Atkins and couldn't have fruit or potatoes (which they use for soups) - but I am now going to unpack it and get going and make good things for my RMs. I think I'm still feeling a bit sensitive about spending $500 on a kitchen item - but everyone I know who has one or was given one, absolutely swears by them. And I know that they sell on ebay for close to retail even used - so I know I could get my money back if I wound up rarely using it. Apparently I can make fresh ice cream in it and hot soups in the winter - I'd really like both of those ![]() I haven't seen Coronation Street in years! My mother was English and so I grew up watching BBC shows - what else do you watch? Do you get As Time Goes By? I love that one! Have a good evening all - Tink

Hi Everyone! DH and DS got all the bad lumber returned and picked up some better stuff. The deck floor is all laid out now and ready to be attached! DS is also painting the house!
Stephanie, you asked about how we do the food for the big picnic....we provide the meat and buns and a couple of salads and then I ask the SILs to bring a salad/side dish or a dessert. I ordered a birthday cake for MIL this year because there will be so many coming. We always have a great time! It's almost all family and we have a really big yard so there's plenty of room and lots to do! Food is going great, got my exercise on the indoor bike today. Now I'm off to get some dinner....

Hi Tink - I think the Vita-mix is a lot more practical for you, esp. cuz you like ice cream and soups. Yes I watched that one, with Judy Dench, right? I love Keeping Up Appearances (you know that one with Hyacinthe "Bouquet" - really Bucket) and Are You Being Served. Another great British show is Coupling.
I have 1.5 more teaching days (2.5 more days of work - we have to be in the school on Friday organising our student files and classrooms etc). I am stretching for my happy dance! 2 months off! ![]() And, I am keeping my girls in daycare for 3 days a week in July and 2 days a week in August. I have never had a day off since they were born! I adore my kids, and wouldn't change a thing, but I am REALLY looking forward to having some days to myself! ![]() |

Good Morning ladies...
I was the same on the scales today, but that is ok. I dropped 2 lbs. in 1 day so figure I really wouldn't lose again last night and I may have to cut out the cereal in my RM. Have a great day.... |

Morning girls!
I hope everyone is well.. Pam, I have a magic bullet. I use it all the time! It's really good for making slushies and icy coffee drinks. Lots cheaper than Starbucks too! But lately I have just been putting pouring coffee and half and half over ice and drinking iced coffee without crushing the ice. Too lazy for 5 seconds in the magic bullet! Patty, you are doing great! I love coffee with cinnamon. DH doesn't like it much though so I don't have it very often. Guess what I got yesterday? My DH got me a Wii Fit! I have been wanting one and he got it for me for my birthday. Of course my birthday isn't until next week but I had to open it up early. It was fun! And the best news of all... it weighs me 5 lbs. lighter than my bathroom scale! Heck I don't know which is right, the Wii balance board or the scale, but I like the balance board results.. the best part is it shows that I am less than 5 lbs. away from a normal BMI. That is so exciting! Anyway, the Wii Fit is SO fun. For now I'm working on the balance exercises. It's fun to do ski jumping in the living room! Stephanie, my plants are doing great, thanks for asking! I saw some jalapenos growing yesterday, so as of now I have mint, strawberries, zucchini, jalapenos, and tomatoes growing. We decided that we didn't like the way mulch looks in our landscaping, so we replaced it with sand pebbles. It looks great. Tink, I'm pretty interested in that fruit flush. Is there a book, or did you just get the info from the thread here on LCF? I'm getting used to evening hours for work. I definitely like it better than overnight hours. It's busier on the phone but the time goes by much more quickly. DS and I have tons of errands to run today so I'm off for now. Back later. Have a great day y'all!

Hi Everyone -
I'm down a pound this morning but was surprised with TOM last night with a vengeance- didn't think it would be until the weekend. I'm quite sure I'm bloated like crazy so we'll see what the scales say in a few days. Today is Day 2 of the fruit flush - which may require some discipline with tom here - but I'm planning on making it through - it's only two days! I stocked up on SO much fruit at Costco last night - way more than I need for the next two days - so I'll either go into the 14 day Fruit Diet that JayRobb has also or integrate it into my RMs. I'm excited for so much fruit - I love it. Dana - I did read the threads here and asked questions of some of the gals but I also bought the $5 ebook off of his website. There wasn't a lot of info that I didn't already know about flushes/cleansing - so I really only did need the details from the thread - but feel free to PM me for any of the info and I'll answer. Miserable cramps so staying home today - more later. Time for my first fruit meal of the day! Have a good day everyone! - Tink |

Hi girls!!
I'm up again!! I've been a good girl, darn it!! Maybe TOM is on his way or something. I can't wait till I get to that doctor, this is really pinching now,...I think that stitch is comming through...![]() Work has been a bear this morning, good thing I'm off the next two days. Good luck on the fruit flush...Tink, but remember, if you get cravings real bad, get back to cad stat!! I think it'll give you a good tweak, but just be careful...o.k.?! ![]() I'm having a steak and pork steak, dipping sauce, A-1, tortilla chips, cookies(2), ice cream...3 scoops! Drink/Braggs....I've been using 1/3 cup of the vinegar in my drinks daily, I really think it's helping. I got alittle side tracked from using Braggs for 2 months, but since I've been driking it again, I've noticed digestion is alot better, and faster!! ![]() I'll be back later, girls...have a good day, if I don't!! ![]() |

Ok, ladies I had to go ahead and eat a CM at lunch. I am getting very lethargic again like I did last time, and don't want to do anything, so for a few days I am going to eat just 1 CM and see, if I still lose, if not then I will go back to the 1 meal a day. I still think I have to have a lot of carbs for my thyroid to work right. Anyway, this is what I am going to be doing and see, if it works...

Hi all!
Linda, it sounds like it's going to be a blast at your home! Enjoy yourself! ![]() Pam, as of right now, I'm not reading anything, other than older magazines that I pick up at yard sales dirt cheap. I'm too busy to read during the summer, but I'm an avid reader when the weather changes. I love all of Amy Tan's books (I bought them for myself), and I love the work of Wally Lamb too. Have you read either of these authors? I haven't read the one you mentioned. I have a pretty eclectic style, although I'm not into romance novels. The most recent book I read was Duma Key by Stephen King. It would be fun to compare some of the books we've read! Cindy, I hope it's not too painful for you! Take care -- recovery sure does take some time, doesn't it? Patty, I hope you get things worked out as far as your meals go -- you're not a quitter, that's for sure! ![]() Hi there, Tink! Good luck with the fruit flush; I hope you see good results! Oh, Dana, how fun! Enjoy the Wii! Hi to everyone else -- take care of yourselves! Yesterday's menu was the following: Brunch (CM): 2 scrambled cheese eggs with butter Supper (RM): steak, sliced cucumbers, oven baked zucchini, a few barbecued mini smokies, and a milk shake made with whole milk and no sugar added ice cream. I walked for 30 minutes, but I got a lot more exercise in too -- moving loads of firewood, gardening, and moving mulch from a pile up our field. Tonight's RM will be baked chicken, salad, and whatever else I come up with. Be back later! Oh, my DD (16) passed her driver's test yesterday, and I am really proud of her!! See ya....

Stepanie I don't know what I am going to do. I literally passed out in my chair for an hr. I didn't feel that sleepy but the next thing I know, I was asleep. Maybe I am having that LC Flu that I have heard people talking about, or I am still tired from the trip and scrubbing my kitchen carpet. We will see. I hope tomorrow goes better.

I read DUMA KEY, I loved it! I am reading a series now by JD Robb. It is called the "in death series." There are 23 books and I have them downloaded onto my computer. Then I put them onto a electronic book so I can take them everywhere I go. I love having the electronic book.
It is a series about a lady detective in the future, sounds dumb but someone gets murdered and the super detective finds out who did it....Good easy reading for the summer.......Shelagh |

Stephanie - I love Amy Tan (esp. "The Joy Luck Club"). And Wally Lamb is brilliant. When I read "She's Come Undone" I swore he was a woman, he wrote just like one. What a compelling story. I also loved the other one about the two brothers, one of whom is schizophrenic. I think it was called "I know this much is true" or something. Great authors. I am reading a Canadian author now, Wayne Johnson. He writes about Newfoundland in the 1920's. Sounds boring and normally I don't like historical stuff much, but his characters are fascinating! I love a good story too! Congrats to your DD! That is a huge milestone!
Patty - good for you or listening to your body. You don't want to burn out. I had two pieces of cheese today too, so you aren't alone. What did you eat for your CM? Imjoyful - I am off for the summer, so I may start using the Magic Bullet for those ice coffee's you are talking about! They sound delish. To make a fast one (without the bullet) what do you do? Pour hot coffee over cream? How much of each? I will make that this summer too! yum! Tink - sorry about the cramps! They are no fun! Do you take anything for them? I take Mersyndol, which works well but makes me tired! Shelagh - I am so glad you are doing great! KUTGW! Cindy - Did you get to the doctor? Did your stitch come out? Do you make your own Braggs drink? I always thought Braggs was a brand name. What is Braggs? RM tonight was: cheeseburger carrot 2 mini cupcakes (the two bite ones) 1 pecan delight 1/2 cup grapes I am stuffed! I ran as well and feel great! Last day of school is tomorrow! ![]() Have a good one! Pam |

Hi Everyone -
Lousy crampy day - but made it through Day 2 of fruit flush and slept a lot. Not sure if the scale will be rewarding me due to tom, but we'll see. Back to bed for me - Aleve makes me so tired, but only thing that helps me cramps. -Tink |
