Thanks for the encouragement Patty! We will chat tomorrow! GL!

I wanted to also share with you ladies what I do on the days that I don't feel like going for my run. I think it was Tink who posted on the old threads about not liking exercise. I love to run (yes, I am crazy that way) and have been running since grade school. But I still have days where I groan about it and toy with the idea of skipping it. I don't run every day, I run 3-4 times a week and on the other days I do cardio pilates or Fusion pilates, specifically a dvd which is designed for women who have had a c-section. I take Fridays off. Anyhoo, on the days I am not into running or doing pilates, I tell myself that I just have to do 5 minutes and if I still don't feel like it I can stop. I have yet to stop after 5 minutes, I always keep going once I start. So it's a good psychological trick I play on myself! lol

Pam good for you on your exercise... I am planning on lifting weights today, and scrubbing my kitchen carpet. That in itself is a lot of exercise.

I am so very thrilled this morning. I am down 1.4 lbs. this morning. Granted this is the weight that I have gained back, but at least it is a start...

This is all so interesting. I was on another forum where the author encouraged a one meal a day plan......but it was 5 hr.! It was called Fast5 and you had a time to eat everyday where you could eat anything as long as it was in the 5 hrs. I noticed many of the people there had cut it down to an hr. however. I tried it for 2 weeks and didn't loose and found it really hard to last all day. I was sooooo hungry all day. You see, I have been doing intuitive eating for 2 yr. and though it is slow, I have lost about 30lb and not gained it back. I am very interested in limiting refined carbs because it makes me feel so much better. I have taken prednisone for 3 yr. and that in itself causes hunger. So I think, like all of you, I am trying to figure out what works. Pam, I do that too....tell myself I will exercise only 2 min. and than keep going. ha!

Hi carolr3639, are you going to join us? Myself I have to eat the 1 meal a day, or I don't lose. There is no way that I could eat as much as I want in the 5 hr. period. I would be eating all day, if I did that. Congrats on the 30 lbs. lost and hope you join us and give the 1 hr. a try...

I would have to eat CMs as I can't last all day without eating.

Baby, I never ever thought that I could just eat once a day, but I tried it a few months ago and I made it. You don't have to eat just 1 meal, you can have CMs...

Carol

Do what ever works for you. The book states that you can do 2 cms or no cms -so if you tried to do just an RM and got like real hungry you could add a cm later....Good luck to you.......Shelagh

Hi all! Boy, I sure have missed a lot, and I have a lot of catching up to do! First off, Pam, I'm sorry to hear of your grandfather's passing -- you have my sympathy!

And, Teri, how is your mom doing now? I'm sorry to hear that she wasn't well, but I hope she is getting better!

Barbara, I love your new avatar -- you look beautiful!

Happy belated birthday, Patty! How was your trip? I hope you had a wonderful time!

Cindy, you look smokin' hot!! Keep it up, girl!! Your meals always sound so good!

Hi there, and welcome to Carol and Mousie!! Carol, my dear brother was recently diagnosed with sarcoidosis (after a scary threat of lung cancer). Well wishes to you! And 10 kids?? I think that's wonderful!! I have 2 teen girls, and my oldest will be graduating next year, and already I'm starting to anticipate the "empty nest" type of feeling. Welcome to both of you, and post often so we can get to know you better!!

Shelagh, thanks for the compliment about my old posts. I'm sorry that I'm not posting as often as I'd like now, but there is a lot of outdoor work that needs done. Please know that I am with you all in spirit!
Patty, I'm anticipating a gain soon, as we will be going away for vacation, but such is life, and I have faith in the program and I know it will come back off! I'll be staying on plan, but I know I'll be having more at my RMs than I usually do, so I'm mentally preparing myself.

Here is my RM for last night: grilled chicken breast (my DH made an awesome, "throw it together" marinade for it and it was delicious!), oven-baked zucchini, some pasta salad, a mug of whole milk, a bite of a doughnut (boy, I sure could have eaten the whole thing, but I didn't!) and 1/2 pint of blueberries. I walked the dog, and I have been getting a lot of exercise with all of the outside work I've been doing. My garden is looking great!

I've got to get busy, so I'll be back later! Stay on your plans, friends! See ya!

Hi Everyone -
Just back late last night from Reno so will do all my catchup reading later today. Couldn't wait to share though - I LOST weight in Reno! I am 156.5 again this morning - not sure how on earth this is possible - I ate well, more than usual, buffet twice, pizza, desserts, no sort of plan at all! I feel very happy! I think the magnesium citrate keeping me more regular than ever in my life must be helping - I've also started CLA and Fucothin over the last week or so.

Okay - must get ready for work (wish I had a down day, but not the case) so will catch up with everyone and where they are from there.

Have a great day! - Tink

Good morning,

If all goes well my mom will be coming home from the hospital this morning. I was told to hit the road just as soon as she arrives since I have the tail end of a cold still. With both mom and grandma in the same house, my sister will be able to handle everything for the next few days.

When I returned to my folks house yesterday my grandma was not feeling well. I couldn't leave her to go out and swim, so it turned out to be my day off of exercise like usual. I brought WATP with me so once I hear whether or not my mom will make it home, I will decide if I am going to get it done here or wait until I get home.

I am still on plan and since I follow CALP, I am making sure I have the proper balance in my food choices.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of coffee

CM: Pork chop and broccoli

RM: Salad w/ranch, grilled tuna and cheese sandwich on sour dough, and broccoli

I took my chromium and drank plenty of water.

Have a wonderful day!

I am doing good so far today. I not near as hungry as I was yesterday. It just takes a few days for your body to adjust to eating once a day...

I am pretty weak though, I guess it from scrubbing the carpet. I bet I burned at least 500 calories doing that.

Hi Patty - sounds like you are doing well! Yippee! I love pancakes/french toast type things and I often eat that for my RM. I have never balanced them and it works for me, but not for everyone. We are having steak and corn on the cob. I will throw in a desert of course! lol The hungrier I get the more I think about my RM! I am holding my own over here and it's 2:30. We eat between 5-6 so I think I will be ok! Yahoo!

It's a quiet day at work so I'm catching up on my reading! A nice way to come back from a vacation...

Teri - I hope that your Mom is doing well - your Grandma too - they are so precious to us - I miss my Mom everyday (Dad too) but know that she smiles on me all the time.

EmandEm - My thoughts to you and your Dad on the passing of your Grandfather. A big virtual hug to you.

Barbara - Great picture! I'm glad your home is coming back together - I'm still dealing with renovations from my move last October - I've had to put it on hold several times because it just gets to be too much - then I pick back up when I'm ready for the next chunk.

Carolr3639 - Welcome - are you jumping on board? It's a great plan and although my loss has been very slow - and I am looking to shake it up a bit and see if I can't get a bit of a quickstart and knock some pounds off with a fruit flush, I love this plan - it makes sense to me and my body. These ladies are great so fire away with questions and the support will be here.

Mousie6 - Welcome - are you here with us?

Patty - Welcome Home!!! It wasn't the same without you! As I've learned, that vacation weight comes back off so enjoy the plan and your french toast (I've had it for an RM!) and keep it up

Cindy - Oh my gosh! You are looking so amazing! You and Stephanie never fail to inspire me when I feel that things are moving too slowly. However, one thing that you both do is get moving - both in your normal days and then exercising intentionally. I am so sedentary - I've decided it's time to change that. I think that I resent having to exercise to lose weight and so I get stubborn. But the truth is, I'd like to exercise simply to take care of myself and feel stronger - so I will do that, and inevitably, the too should help each other! I'm promising all of you that I am going to do something 3-5 days a week for the next 4 weeks and see where things are. I hope you will cheer me on!

Stephanie [/color]- only 4.5 to go - AWESOME! I can't believe that you have gone 7.5 pounds from when you hit 100 lost - and I'm still messing around with getting down a couple of pounds. Shows how different we all are.

Shelagh - KUTGW my friend! Your meals always sound SO yummy!

Oriana - I'm envious of your energy! I think it was Cindy that mentioned you and Barbara have both done the fruit flush - did you like it? Any thoughts you care to share on something to give me a little quick start on getting a few pounds off quickly? I just need a little boost.

I hope I haven't missed anyone - may you all have a wonderful on plan day for YOU!

You are lucky girl. It is 1:25 at my house.

I am getting terribly hungry now, and a little nauseous. I think it is from all the hard work I did this morning.
