Good morning, all! And welcome to the new folks! I've got a lot of catching up to do, as I've been very busy this weekend! I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday weekend -- I sure did!

We got our garden planted yesterday, so I was happy about that. I just got back from taking the dog for a walk (about 30 minutes). It looks like rain today, so I wanted to get the walk in early today. I've got a lot of laundry and housework to catch up on, so I'll be pretty busy today.

Linda, I can't wait to see pictures of your new pool!! We didn't open ours yet, with the lousy weather we had, but the time is coming! Enjoy yours!

Cindy, that's great that you got to spend time with your grand-daughter -- I'm sure she enjoys your time together too!

I'm half-way through my second dose of prednisone (for the poison ivy), and I'm happy to say that the itching has decreased, although it hasn't gone completely away yet. And at least the rash looks somewhat better, although it's not gone yet either. I'm just glad that my face is looking better!

Not much school left for my girls -- they are finished on June 5th. My DD(16) is going to the senior prom this week (she is a junior this year, but she is going with senior friends), and I'm excited for her!

MommaPatty, I'm sorry that you had a hard time, but we want you here!! You're very important to us!

Have a wonderful day, friends! I'm glad to be back posting! Catch up with you all later....stay on plan!

Good Morning...

Half of my company left yesterday and the other half will be leaving today.

We took the girls swimming at our little beach by our golf course and they had a blast yesterday. Whew, it was hot!!!! and then we brought them back home, and Melanie, and I went and joined Henry and we played golf until dark...Boy was I a tired Momma last night, but it was worth every moment yesterday. We made many cherished moments with our Girls and Grandkids...

Have a wonderful day...

Going to be gone for over a couple of weeks so I hope everyone is doing well. I will probably do Weight Watchers while I'm gone since we'll be camping with others and eating will not be as controlled when doing meals together some. I'm sure I will come running back to CAD..I always do

Here's a couple pictures of the pool so far!

The guys are putting the liner on the frame here....

This one is before the last tanker of water came back so it's not completely full here.
Now it is full and we'll be taking more pics once the landscaping is finished and the deck is built.

I had a good on plan weekend although with this being a PMS week, the scale isn't budging! I'll work on patience this week, I think!

Not sure what we'll be eating today. Lots of chores to do - all the little things I haven't done since surgery.

I'll try to get back later, if I can!

Good morning,

Stephanie, I am happy that your poison ivy is finally getting better. I bet it feels great to get your garden planted. I know it takes a lot of work to get a garden planted but I am sure it will be worth it.

Patty, it sounds like you had a great weekend with your family and the memories should last a lifetime.

Judy, have a nice vacation and you can fill us in when you get back.

Linda, your pool looks so inviting. I am sure once the landscaping is done it will be a beautiful centerpiece.

With the exception of getting the 3 miles of WATP power walk completed, I lazed around on the computer and took advantage of yesterday being a holiday. I even updated our family website since it hadn't been done in over a year.

My plans for today will be to join my Mom and Grandma at the Casino so I can hang out with my Grandma. The last time they were here, Mom played a slot tournament and won a place into today's tournament. I am going to go and hang with Grandma so I can take her to her room if she begins to get tired. I don't know if I mentioned this before but my Grandma, 87, has cancer and was given six months to live several months ago. I am thankful that she is still active and looks forward to coming to the Casino to play her slot machines.

DD19 has made progress with her stuff that is all over my living room. I am very hopeful it will all be put away by this evening so I can get the living room looking good again.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of Coffee

CM: Pork chop & asparagus w/mayo

RM: Salad w/ranch, cashew chicken, cauliflower, and Haagan Das chocolate ice cream bar

I took my Chromium and drank my water.

Have a wonderful day!

Teri, thanks for the links, now that was fun for me!! I was wondering if you could find 2005 and 2006, thats when we first started cad and it was in the "low carb challenge" fourms!! Perty please!!! It would be so much fun to look back at my own postings then cause that was the year I had so many problems with cad in 2006. Thanks hun!!
You are good at this computer stuff, I am still trying to learn and now I have a bunch of stuff to get onto the computer here at work before the 3rd!! Oh, I'm sunk, I wish things didn't have to change....

I finally got back to my lowest weight this morning!! Yea!!! Finally!!!! So now on to new numbers.....I hope!

They are having sandwich's, so I'll have a choice of fillings...beef, tuna, egg salad. And then I have my cereal, I'll have a small bowl, cookies...3-4.

I made a banana cookie last night, I needed to use up the banana's before they spoiled, so I added...choc. chips, coconut, almonds, rasins. Hope they are good!! They SMELLED wonderful last night....oh the torture, but things like that don't bother me anymore so much, I can leave them alone. Although thoughts about food and having a cm did enter my mind last night and I almost had eggs, but I didn't and was rewarded this morning.
My RM's are getting smaller, so I hope the scale will go down at least 5 pounds before I go back to the doc's on June 27th. He will be taking my after photo!! Then I'll have them e-mail them to me so I can post them here.....maybe?! I will only have my undies on, so I don't know if thats allowed?

Work is busy, so I'll have to go for now.

Teri, Thanks for all the links. I will be going over them tonight. Yep just sit here and read. Not so good for my big fat but , but FUN!!
Cindy, I am doing one meal a day. Yesturday my meal was at 4 but today I switched to 12:30. Much better. It is close to 5 now and I am still full. I find it easier to fast at night..I am drinking a coffee with cream now. I can only hope that does not affect weight loss. If it does " what a bummer". I was figuring that if a person eats 1000-1500 cals at their one meal a day they should lose weight. I can only tell you that I am way calmer and that I have no cravings. Sometimes I get hungry but I do not crave, so far.
Patty, hope you got all your cleaning done. Company is nice but oh!! what a mess they leave.
Talk to you all later......Shelagh

Thanks! It's not ready to swim in for a couple weeks yet! It has to sit, undisturbed to compact the sand underneath so we don't get a bunch of potholes and wrinkles. Plus it's only 46 degrees here right now....brrrrr! We also have to get the new deck built or we won't be able to get in! But after that.....

Oh WOW!! Thanks Teri!!! I'll have LOTS of fun with these links!! Thank-you.....thank-you!!!

Shelagh, I'm glad one meal is working for you too!! I feel just like you, no cravings, no hunger and switching my meal to lunch was soooooo much better for me! I will do this for life, unless I lose too much, (but I doubt) that, that will happen! I know that to maintain, all I have to do is pig out in my one meal, that keeps the scale stable. But right now, I have to make myself eat smaller portions, so I can lose the rest of my weight! After my surgery, I didn't restrict myself, cause I was worried about doing just one meal during recovery, and the portions got big, or I was eating for the full hour.
Now I need to buckle down again and lose the rest!

Hi Patty!! I had a busy, but nice day. Don't get stressed! I listen to soothing tapes when I get stressed and it helps to relax.

Linda....me too!! I wanna swim!!! I love to swim, or just lay around in the pool is good too! Have fun with that this summer.

Good evening, all!

Linda, your pool looks so lovely! And what a beautiful setting you live in -- how pretty! Enjoy it this summer, as I'm sure you will!

Yay, Cindy, for getting back to your lowest weight!

Thanks, Teri, for posting those links, too! I'm anxious to look at them. Your grandmother sounds like a fighter! I'm glad that you can enjoy your time together -- family is so important.

Judy, enjoy your camping!

Here are my meals for the day:
Lunch (CM): egg salad, some cheese
Supper (RM): grilled ham steak, tossed salad with blue cheese dressing, an apple, and low carb ice cream. I walked for 30 minutes today, and met my water quota.

Have a great evening, all! See you tomorrow!

[b]Thanks so much for the well wishes. You folks can appreciate this better than anyone I know. Would you believe that I thought I could stick to Weight Watchers while I was gone?? I started it this morning to get in the swing. I'm already ready to go CAD tomorrow and do it the best I can while camping.
I could have had a V8 or I could have remembered that CAD is all I can do

You all take care and keep on keeping on. You are doing great. Hope the sick are improving, the downtrodden are feeling uplifted, the tired get some rest, and all have a great week.

God be with you till we meet again. I may be gone 3 weeks and this will be my last check in.

Hang in there.

Good Morning ladies...

As I said before, I'm not dieting right now. I am just going through too much right now, and all I did yesterday was stuff my mouth. When I get stressed I can't get filled up. Maybe one of these days I'll get back to watching what I eat, but right now, I just don't care...

Have a great day.

Good morning,

Cindy, I bet you are feeling pretty good about getting to your lowest weight again. I was happy to be able to help you with the older CAD links, enjoy. I understand how reading older posts can be helpful and have kept my own diary since I began this WOE in March.

Patty, I am sorry you are stressed and not feeling well. Please feel better soon.

I arrived at the Casino around 2:30 p.m. yesterday and my Grandma was in bed in her room because she was not feeling well. My Mom went to the Casino and I hung out with Grandma while she slept. I am glad I took reading material with me because I had to entertain myself for three hours while she was sleeping. When Grandma woke up around 6:00 p.m., I told her she needed to eat something since it had been awhile since she had eaten. After telling me to go and get her some soup, she decided to get dressed and we both went to meet my Mom at the Casino.

We saw Mom as soon as we entered the Casino because she was at the courtesy desk trying to reach us on the phone. I found out that she needed another bottle of oxygen so I sent Mom and Grandma to get their dinner while I ran back to the room to get a new bottle. Once I returned with the bottle and had Mom all hooked up to her oxygen once again, she told me I could go home and get my Bowflex workout done.

When I left the Casino it started pouring rain on my way home. When I got home it was close to 8:00 p.m. and I still needed to eat dinner and do my Bowflex workout. We decided to do the Bowflex workout before we ate dinner, since we didn't know if we were going to return to the Casino and eat or eat at home. It was 8:45 p.m. when we completed our Bowflex workout so I told DH if we returned to the Casino, we wouldn't eat until 9:15 p.m. or later. We decided to eat at home and I did not return to the Casino since it was already 9:30 p.m. when I finished my dinner.

I have not heard from Mom yet this morning, so I don't know what my plans will be for the day yet. I am guessing they will check out of their room and if Grandma is feeling better, will gamble a couple of hours before they leave for home.

DD19 has made tremendous progress on her stuff in the living room. I believe she has one more box to go through and then it will be time for me to get my living room all cleaned up again.

WATP is scheduled for today so I will be getting it done sometime this morning.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of Coffee

CM: Pork chop and cauliflower

RM: Salad w/ranch, avocado, bacon bits, colby cheese, and sauteed shrimp

I took my Chromium and drank my water.
