Hi Ladies!!!!
Finally a quiet moment to drop in and say I've been thinking about all of you while here in NY!

I am so incredibly off plan - and have been since the day I arrived - that I have no idea what the scale will say when I get home. My skinnier jeans are still fitting but starting to feel a little snug at the end of the day. I felt a little disappointed the first day or so in myself but now feel like it is balancing out and that I was completely just splurging on things I associate with when I was growing up and don't get to have at home. Now I'm starting to want to eat the way I'm used to and actually looking forward to getting back to my routine when I get home. It helps knowing I'll have you all to help me out!

I haven't read anything since I've been gone so I will have a lot to catch up on. I hope that you are all doing well and that anyone new is enjoying their plan.

Take care everyone and I'll be back soon -
-Tink

Hurry back Tink. We'll be with you as you get back on the healthy eating horse. WE do miss it when we leave it for sure. Seems one can never get enough after deviating from this plan, especially if we are true carb addicts. Hope all are having a good weekend.

Good morning,

Shelagh, swimming is such great exercise. I hope your depression is short lived and you don't feel deprived since you still get to have your carbs with your RM.

Cindy & Judy, you two are terrific and I appreciate you both trying to keep me on track. I would really feel terrible if I was too strict on this plan and allowed myself to slip and fall. Since chocolate is my carb addiction, I am trying to control it as much as possible. It has not been too difficult to eat my dessert every other day since I know I still get to have it. I have gone a few days in a row without dessert and have even eaten it two days in a row a couple of times. I love this plan and the only rule I have imposed upon myself is to balance my meals.

Patty, I am sorry to hear of your not so pleasant experience on another thread. In my short time here, I find that the ladies are very supportive and would never try to hurt anyone. Please try and cheer up and continue to enjoy the friends you have made here.

Tink, so nice to hear from you and I hope you continue to enjoy yourself!

DD#2 still has most of her bedroom in my living room since she works Thursday-Sunday. All of her clothes were put in bags and she didn't want to put them in her new dresser drawers until they were all clean. I had her sort the clothes into piles that she was going to keep and give away. When I got up yesterday both piles were in the middle of my living room floor so I sorted her laundry to get it out of the way so I could begin WATP. I went ahead and did her laundry and sorted it into piles so she could put it away in her dresser. I am still looking at another bag of clothes plus boxes that she has to go through, but I am hopeful she will get her mess cleaned up soon.

I completed all three miles of my WATP power walk yesterday so it will be Monday before it is scheduled again. DH and I expect to get our Bowflex workout completed at some point today.

DH and I are going to get our bedroom finished today. I have gone through most of my things and am at the point where I need to find a place to put them. DH has papers that need to be filed and we would both prefer him dealing with them.

We have decided to have bacon cheeseburgers for dinner tonight and need to go to town to get some of the ingredients. While we are in town we are going to get some potting soil and some veggie plants. It is raining today and there is a chance of more tomorrow so it may be Monday before we get our veggies planted into our barrels.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of Coffee

CM: Marsala chicken w/mushrooms & mozzarella cheese, and green beans w/vinaigrette

RM: Salad w/ranch, rotisserie chicken, asparagus w/mayo, and an ice cream bar

I try to have my dessert every other day but I needed a carb to go with my RM and the ice cream sounded like the best choice.

I took my chromium and drank plenty of water.

Thank you Teri. I'm just not supposed to get stressed, but when someone PMs you and says they want you to not communicate with them and to put them on your ignore list, it really tears you apart. I really think deep down that I am a pretty nice person, and when I get stressed then it causes me to have the chronic itching, and to beat all this person professes to be a Christian. Not much of a Christian Attitude, if you ask me, but anyway I am getting over it, and moving on...I'm sure I will be back to my old self soon...

I find off and on I am getting a little depressed. I don't like it ! I think it is from not eating carbs. Anyone else feel this way ?did it go away?
Gotta go now. thanks guys.....Shelagh
Darling, I am one that gets depressed, if I don't get a lot of carbs. I just can't do LC anymore. The whole time I was on it, I was very moody, especially when I was with my family and I couldn't eat what they ate. I also have to have so many carbs a day because I am hypothyroid and have to have the carbs to regulate my thyroid.

Ah, Patty, I'm glad you have decided to stay!! Now just let the other thing go and give it to God, that way it won't stay in your mind!! I hope you'll have a nice time with your family cause thats what really counts!! We all love you Patty!!!!...........

It's so nice outside here....I'm going to go sit out for awhile, but not too much, I already went tanning this morning, so I don't want to burn. I'm wearing my new shorts.....maybe a picture is in order......

I had a burrito for lunch with fresh pineapple, pear/walnut muffin smothered in ice cream, cookies.
My 16 y.o. grandaughter is staying with us for the weeke end, and we made cookies last night, or should I say, she made cookies! Tryint to teach her how to cook! Anyway they came out great and as much as I wanted to eat a dozen last night, I held myself back, and today only ate two.....funny how you want lots of something, but when you remove yourself from it and after a time, you don't want it anymore....another way insulin plays havoc with our minds and hunger!! I got hungry from making cookies!!

O.k. I'm heading outside....

Have a nice Memorial Day Everyone!!!!!!

Patty.....hope you are feeling better now...I'm glad you are sticking around!

Busy day today but stayed on plan! The nieces and nephews were here all day and SIL sent all kinds of foods that were a temptation. But I passed on all of them because I know how they make me feel. I don't feel bad about skipping any of it!

The new pool was assembled and partially filled today! It's looks fantastic! I'll post a few pictures tomorrow...

Time to get going...hope the rest of the weekend is great for all of you!

Good morning,

Patty, I am happy you have chosen to stay and enjoy your weekend with your family.

Cindy, it is great that you were able to wear a pair of your new shorts yesterday. We had rain all day yesterday and it was very much appreciated. Enjoy your time with your granddaughter.

Linda, good for you for staying on plan despite all the temptations. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your new pool, thanks for offering to share. Enjoy your time with your family.

Stephanie, I guess your weekend is busy so I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Barbara, Happy Memorial Day to you too. I hope everything is going well with you.

flower, I hope you are having a nice weekend.

I didn't go anywhere yesterday but I did get my room completed, closets and all.

DH and I completed our Bowflex workout last night so today is my day off.

Since we didn't make it to town yesterday, we may go today.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of Coffee

CM: Omelet w/spinach, bacon, and colby cheese

RM: Salad w/ranch, avocado, bacon bits, colby cheese, and sauteed shrimp

I took my chromium and drank my water.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks ladies... I know I tend to let things bother me too much. All last night I kept playing it over and over in my mind and I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about how I could get back at them, but you know what, that would just make me at their level and I am not going to show that kind of crudeness, so I am letting it go... I know I will quit thinking about it as time goes on... I just don't think I deserved what was dished out to me...
We are having such a good time with the girls and my babies and one most wonderful SIL that a Mother-in law could have... We played golf and I am really tired and it is time to eat. I'll see ya later.

Patty - glad to hear you are happy and staying. It is so tempting to retaliate when we feel wronged, but taking the higher road shows strength and integrity.

Shelagh - can you tell me what plan you are talking about? I think IF stands for Intermittent Fasting, and I read a bit about it but don't understand it. Can you break it down in plain English for me? lol

I veered from CAD this weekend, but I knew I would. We were at my parent's house and I didn't want them to worry about me being on any kind of diet. So I ate when I was hungry, stopped when satifsied, although I overdid it when the baked goods came out! But not too badly. I ran as well, as always, so I am not too worried. Tomorrow I am back on CAD!

Happy Memorial Day to those in the US.

Pam

I know what you mean !!! I many times was criticized on other boards for eating one meal a day. It's a shame we can't just find another place altogether. Some people get jealous and some people think they know it all. I know for a fact that one meal a day works for me but it may not for others but who am I to judge. I also know that if my food and weight are not in order in the past my whole life was a mess. I couldn't think straight and I was always confused and depressed about what to eat and what not to eat. That confusion was partly because I was carb addicted. I think the Hellers called it "carb fog". Anyway, don't listen to those people, Patty and those who have been criticized. With friends like that who needs enemies. We don't care what diet you are on here. We are hear to support each other and cheer each other on with what works best for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, now for my day. I had steak, salad with ranch, Mt. Dew, 4 Haagen Dazs ice cream bars. YUM!!! I was 111 today and walked about 5 miles and ran 2!!

Dr Eades, who wrote protein power, has a blog on intermittened fasting. He and his wife did it. They ate breakfast and lunch one day then fasted until supper the next day.If you look up intermittened fasting on google I think it will come up. Good luck. I dont know how I will do but I will give it my best shot....Shelagh

Ladies, it didn't have anything to do with my WOE, she just did not like me, and even though I had been there a lot longer then her, they all sided with her, and they didn't care that two of the girls were very cruel to me in two posts, but it their loss and I really couldn't give a rats butt and will not be on there anymore.

Good morning,

DH and I went to town yesterday and picked up our potting soil and veggie plants. We ended up getting two tomato plants, one green and one red bell pepper plants, 2 lemon cucumber plants, and one red chili plant. I am looking forward to getting fresh grown veggies again.

I am hoping DD#2 will get her stuff back into her room over the next two days since she doesn't have to work again until Thursday.

WATP is scheduled for today so I will probably get that started pretty soon.

My menu for yesterday included:

CM: 2 cups of coffee

CM: Bacon & asparagus w/mayo

RM: Salad w/ranch, bacon cheeseburger on bun w/mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles

I took my chromium and drank my water.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi girls....Happy Memorial day!!

Barb, you sexy thing you!! Your looking good!! I'm glad to see you pop in now and then, it's nice. You are getting such a nice waist....I can see it in your picture.....very nice.

I had a nice weekend with my 16 yo grandaughter, we made cookies and got burned outside..... It was hot for one day!!

I have been on plan, but eating too much in my meal to lose, I'm o.k. with that, the swelling is still going down and my waist this morning was 33. I need for my hips to go down, thats where most of the major swelling is, all around the tum, hips, but not the back area. So when I sit, I look like I have a tummy, but it's just swelling......or at least I hope so!!!

Today I'll either have a cereal day or eat whatever they are having at work. I forgot my cookies, so I may run home and get them, work is veryyyy slow!!
