I saw the storm on the news. I live in California and we are finally drying out it has been a wet year which is what we need. I hope everything is OK your way there is a lot of damage from the snow and ice.

Question Isn't somersizing like atkins I have been reading alot on the Atkins Diet.

Missy,
I think it is in a way alot like Aktins, To me it is Aktins with a twist. I eat low carb meals with the fat and low fat meals with no fat. lol.. It is really more balanced than just the Atkins. I can have some fruit with the SS, where some Atkins eaters dont eat fruit often. Of course, you have to remember to eat in the time intervals.
We have ended up having about 3 inches of snow here. My 15 yo son is sooo happy about the snow. He hasnt ever seen that much snow at one time, not even when we go to Tennessee.

I know they are similar and I am just trying to find my nitch and some new recipes. I have such a hard time getting the veggies in because I don't like them. But I am trying.

The new Atkins diet is different from the old one that I new years ago.

I'm here just bouncing around from site to site. The workouts are going well and I am trying to stay on track with the Program. It has been a very stressful week but hopefully it will get better.

I understand about the stressful week. Found out yesterday Hubby may have to total knee replacement surgery. Im really stressing about that, not so much the fact of him having surgery, but the fact of him being out of work for 4 to 6 weeks makes me sick. We are in no shape financially for him to be off work. Oh well. What else will happen? EAT WELL

I'm sorry I haven't been posting, but I've had a rough couple weeks. My beloved sister, Shirley, passed in January from ALS. Then on the 18th of February her husband of 50 years passed suddenly from stage 4 lung cancer. The death of my sister was 5 years coming (you do not get well with ALS) but the death of my brother-in-law happened less than 2 weeks after the cancer was diagnosed. My shock has now turned to grief and I haven't felt much like doing anything. I'll do better as my grief subsides, and it will . . .

ldyj,

Please know that my prayers are with you and hope you will find peace soon. I know it hurts so badly to lose a loved one. I lost my Dad January 07 and my Father in law just last May. Nothing can take the place of them. We have to grieve and we all grieve differently. Memories are everywhere. EAT WELL

Caffeine withdrawl!

There is a product that you can get at the health food store, I forget what it is called, but it helps to overcome caffeine withdrawl! Hope this helps!

Jeanette,
I'm sorry for your loss, that must be really hard. Remember to take care of yourself though. Things will get better, it will take some time though. I'll say a prayer for you and yours.
