Xbumblebeex I can relate to what you feel. We are here for you to vent as much as you need to.

Let's both make up our minds that we ARE getting back into the groove again starting today. Let's celebrate every little victory and forgive ourselves the little "slips".
Unfortunately the scale doesn't always reward us every day for the effort we put out. We can't let the scale determine our happiness.

I'm going to walk in the mall today & celebrate that accomplishment. I'm also going to plan what I will eat today & when I will eat my meals. I have been confusing myself by trying to do too many "tweaks" every day instead of just following what has been working for me, I'm trying to add in McKenna's principles and also Marc David's ideas with LC/IF & trying to eat enough calories per day & I'm so confused that I know I just have to KISS, KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Rachel It's great that you realized that the stress was getting to you & that you put your lunch out of sight Enjoy your time at the gym.

Mommie22boys/Andrea Please keep posting your menus, it is good for us to see what others are eating. Are you still doing the Egg Creams?

Andrea78 Post often.

Meekness Good to see you back.

QuirkyRabbit Hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Sazzie Hope you are continuing to mend.

Missalissa Has the vacation weight left the scale?

NM_Jennifer Have you tried the Egg Cream yet. If so, how are you making yours?

Will be back later with more personals. to all IFers & everyone reading this thread

Good morning everyone!

Barbara, I intended to try the egg cream last night during my window, but guess what? I was out of eggs! I had left over coffee and everything else ready, but silly me forgot to check the fridge for the main ingredient. Hopefully a trip to the store today will remedy that, because I really want to give those a try.

I'm back on track with exercising and eating, so I'm feeling pretty good. I did a three day juice fast then eased back into eating on Tuesday with some fresh strawberries sliced thinly and drizzled with honey. Heavenly!

Yesterday as we were walking to court, my friend mentioned how he missed the tapeworm he had in Sierra Leone (sp?) years ago. He was only partly joking. He said, "You can eat whatever you want, not gain weight, and have only a slight drop in energy...well, maybe more than a slight drop..." and I mentioned to him that with juice fasting and IF, I can eat whatever I want one day a week, lose weight and have tons of energy. He just looked at me like I was crazy. But it's true, this WOE allows me the best of all worlds when I stick to it. Tomorrow is a party for a friend who just got promoted, but I can't make that my "eat whatever" night because I just came off of a juice fast and eating too much or eating the wrong foods will really mess up my stomach. So wish me luck that I can have willpower and just sip a wine spritzer and stick to the fruits and veggies.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello All,

I am on day three of Fast 5 and guess what, I have not starved to death! Although, I have been a little reluctant to tell anyone what I am doing, I just get tired of explaining to a low fat, 6 meals a day folks, who would wish for a tapework what I am doing.

I was a little concerned about my hypothyroid issue with this WOE but amazingly I have even raised my body temp. Normally I run 96.4 w/out meds 97.3-97.6 w/meds and the last two days I have been as high as 98.5 w/meds but w/out fever like symptoms. I am so thrilled!

I really love reading everyones posts, what a nice bunch of people!

Rachel, send some of that gym motivation my way. I am hoping it will get warm here soon, that usually helps or at least reminds me of swimsuits!

Have a great day!

Nova

Barbara I totally agree with you!!! Simple is best That's what made me turn away from diets last month and focus on IE. I was confusing myself so much! Thank you so much for your support. I am glad we are sharing this experience

So yes! Let's promise that the weight loss groove starts today Bring it on!!!!

Barbara you have got me all pumped up now, so full of enthusiasm!!! I thank you so much!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Rachel- I think you are wise not to bother with dating until you feel ready. Those work compliments must have made you feel great!

Andrea- Welcome! I hope you enjoy the support of our little group.

Bumblebee- I just hate days when I feel fat or bloated. I feel for you. Let it push you toward eating healthy, and looking forward to this passing quickly. Hugs.

Jennifer- It is hard to imagine how someone could find IF so strange, and yet miss the tapeworm. Have you seen the pictures of tapeworms? Ewwww.

Thanks confession! I'm feeling better already after the support I'm getting here I also exercise this afternoon and I'm feeling on a high. I think it's the endorphins lol! I'm on a health kick now, I just need to feel good about myself and look after myself. I also want a lovely summer wardrobe! That will be my reward for eating well.

Yes, Barbara, all but 1 pound of the vacation weight is gone and then I'm back to my sig. Hopefully when it goes, it will take a friend or two with it!

Kickboxing last nite was a killer! It was great, but I think the only thing that doesn't hurt on my body right now is my upper lip, and I'm not so sure about that!

Hope everyone has a great IF day!

Evening, everyone!

Well, after I posted my menu last night. . a mean actually saw it all written down. . .I thought, "uh oh, too much cream cheese." Guess what? Too much cream cheese! I was up 1.0 today. I am still down more than 3 for the week, but still. . .

I have some other culprits in mind for the bounce up, though. Perhaps too many pork rinds? Also, I'm needing a little, um, relief in the bathroom area (TMI, I know. . .), so that will bring up my weight. I have just started working out again on Tuesday ( I took a tough kickboxing class, too, Missalissa), along with yoga yesterday. . .maybe my muscles are retaining fluid to help heal afer all of this "new" work? I worked out again this afternoon, as well. I did the track at the YMCA: walk a lap/jog a lap for a mile, then walk 2 laps/sprint a lap for a little more than a mile. Felt awesome!

Ragdoll: I have not done the egg creams again yet. I am going to wait until the weekend and try one chilled, like an *Iced Egg Cream Cappuccino*. That way if I don't like it chilled I can toss it and try something else. I'm afraid that if I'm at work and try it for the first time and don't like it, then I'm stuck with NO AVAILABLE on-plan food. I don't know about you, but that's a BAD thing for me. I'll let you know how it turns out.

After school today I went to the grocery store and got such beautiful groceries: organic romaine, grape tomatoes, raspberries and avocados, organic peanut butter AND jelly, organic super-biotic yogurts, Bear Naked peanut butter granola (for the DS's on their yogurt), whole grain bread and granola bars, very lean, no antibiotics ground beef, juices with REAL ingredients (along with some boring stuff like envelopes and shampoo). But I look at my cart and think, "I'm doing such good things for my family when I take the time to shop properly and thoughtfully, and read the labels on everything, and buy organically-grown produce, etc..." I literally push my little cart around and feel proud. Am I weird? Does anyone else do this?

I'm rambling. . .

Here's how it all played out (window 2:30-7:45):

(2:30): 1 slice Linda Sue's spinach lasagne, a few bites of dark-choc almond bark (yikes! maybe a bad decision there. . .)
(5:45-6:15): 2 oz brie, 3 raspberries, 1 WASA fiber rye w/ some (1/4 cup?) cheese spread (NOT cream cheese), about 3/4 cup Dottie's burger scramble florentine
(6:45): low carb strawberry-watermelon FUZE
(7:30ish): 1/4 cup yocheese w/ 1/2 scoop protein powder, some h&h, a splash of DaVinci's and about 5 mashed-up raspberries

Tomorrow I'm either bringing a Tbls of flax meal to school with me to sprinkle on the burger scramble leftovers, or, better yet, I'll make a flax muffin to take with me and eat when I open my window at 2:30. GOT to do something. I think I have some magnesium caps upstairs I'll try to remember to take when I'm done here.

If you're still reading, I salute you! I've been very chatty tonight.

Have a great IF day tomorrow!!

Happy Thursday IF'ers......weekend is almost here !

Hope everyone has had a good day today....it is cold and wet here in South Carolina today, and I kinda feel like I am getting the sniffles again...(ugh). I have increased my normal dosage of Vitamin C and and started some Echinacea, so hopefully I can stave off a full blown cold. I am too busy to get sick.....we have my mom's big 75th Birthday Party Celebration this weekend.....I have been wrapping presents tonight.....she is going to be so surprised and so happy ! All of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be at the party, which is what will make her the happiest of all.....she does not get to see all of them very often. I am excited just planning for it !

My weight is maintaining, but I am definitely in search of the Whoosh Fairy....has anyone seen her ? Please send her to me !

Well, gotta run for now and get some more things done before I got to bed.

Have a great evening all.....stay strong and Kiss !

Happy Friday IFers I also need the Whoosh Fairy sent my way. The scale is still stubbornly holding on to the 3 lbs up since Easter. I've been switching up my eating window & trying McKenna/Marc David ideas & apparently it isn't helping the scale in it's downward trend. I do take responsibility for the "indulgences" and now have to get back to LC, clean eating within a 5 hr. IF Window

CarolinaSweetie Have a wonderful time at your Mom's birthday celebration. Hope the sniffles have been banished.

I'll be walking again today in the mall for exercise.
Have a great Friday everyone & I'll check back later to see what's happening with everyone.
Hugs, Barbara

Do you like kickboxing? Oh my, it's my new favorite love. It's killer, but good. I am starting to see a difference in my body. What amazes me about it is you get really strong fast!

I buy her a new wand!

Well guys I'm feeling good today. My scale was down I was hungry until 5.30pm today so I broke my fast with a glass of apple juice and then I had an oatcake. I feel satisfied. I'm going to have a lovely salad later as my main meal I think. I'm going to wait a little longer however until I make it. I'm going to wait until I start to feel hunger again.
