Hello fellow WW's, I am back today. I fixed my stats to show what is currently happening with me.
One reason I went back to WW's was because I know I need to weigh in once a week and be held accountable. I am willing to pay WW's $40 a month to do that for me. My cousin hired a private coach to help her be accountable and I was shocked because she does not have a lot of money and I know that was a big sacrifice on her part. That was what helped me to say... if she can do that I can do something too. I had just been grazing along eating whatever I wanted. I gained 10lbs over the Christmas holidays without blinking an eye. I wasn't sure that I wanted to return to WW's but I knew I needed someone outside of me to hold me accountable. I mentioned to a friend that if she wanted to do something about her weight maybe we could do it together. She said she was going to WW's after Christmas. In the end I was the one who called her and said so when are we signing up? I must say, both of us are doing great! |

That is so cool to have a friend to lose with, slimdays! I would really like that, and I think it would help me stay on track even better. My weight was still the same this morning, but I am going to stay OP. We have a luncheon at work today, and I am going to take my cake in there, drop it off (we do it buffet style), and go back to my classroom and eat my WW lunch. Have a great day!

Our sub-leader said that since we are coming off a holiday week, attendance will be low. She said it is a great accomplishment to go to a meeting knowing you'll see a gain. Going to a meeting under these circumstances shows that you believe in the plan, but had difficulties and to "Cut yourself some slack", weigh, and move on.

Hey everyone!
Congrats Reg on the loss! Good luck Oraki! I would go to weigh in because it would make me accountable for the next week. Welcome slimdays! When I first did WW in 1989, I did it with my mom and we walked for an hour every day. I lost 60 pounds in less than 9 months. Of course I was much younger then, but having a weight loss buddy is the best. Babbs and srsmom- I love kitties. I had to take one of my Maine Coons, Riley, to the vet yesterday. The vet opened his mouth and it was very inflamed and red. They had to keep him overnight for a cleaning and he may lose some teeth. I feel like the world's worst cat mom. Poor thing. Good luck to all Thursday weighers!

Cat lover
Hi Caroline, I am a cat lover tho right now I am petless and enjoying it. I love the picture of your cat. He looks like my Buddy. I had to put him down due to cancer of the bone two years ago. That is why I am trying petlessness. I am sick of the heartbreak of losing them. But I love seeing other ppls fur babies. Hope your coon cat is fine soon. I had a Maine coon cat too. His name was Thumper.

It's an addiction I just cant seem to break !!
Thanks for your hugs regarding my friend. It is a difficult situation. I want to visit, but my friend (from HS and College.....childhood friend that I've been in contact with on-and-off since our 20th reunion) doesnt want to see anyone right now. I dont want to contribute to any more grief/stress, KWIM? Difficult. |

Oh yeah, 1/2 a pound away from the 150's!!!!! Very cool. Bought new jeans yesterday..size 12's (the 14's only lasted 1.5 months) and a new black denim jacket for spring. This whole weight loss thing is very exciting...very expensive, but very exciting.

Slimdays - Hello and
I think WW is an excellent program and I just love it!!! Like yourself and Oraki, I did low carb - but missed fruit too much. I thought "this is crazy that I can't eat an apple or a banana!" Fruit is one of the healthiest foods you can eat! So, I am really enjoying being able to eat all the fruit I want again!! and potatoes!!!! and bread, yeah!!!! I try not to overdo the potatoes and bread - but do allow myself a bit here and there when I want it. PammyB - Congrats on the 1 pound loss!!! Especially after you saw a gain on your own scale. It's been happening a lot lately to me - but this week I didn't eat all my WPA like I usually do on sat. night after my weigh in. I learned from my mistake and will not use all my WPAs again because I always gain a few pounds after using them and have to try very hard the rest of the week and exercise a lot to get those extra pounds off Oraki - I think it's a great idea that you decided to go to your meeting today! Just be prepared that you may have a gain, maybe talk to your leader before or after the meeting and see if she can give you good advice to get off those few pounds. Reg had a great idea of maybe doing the kickstart program. The only thing I can suggest is to drink A LOT of water and watch your salt intake. I always try to do these 2 things and it helps a lot! Babbs - YES!!! YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! I wish we could weigh naked. I used to always weigh at home naked - but then when I got to WW, I weighed 2 pounds more because I was wearing clothes! So, after I get dressed I weigh myself at home so I know how much I should weigh on my weigh in day. And, if we were able to weigh in naked - don't you think more men would attend the meetings, lol ?????

Good Luck Oraki.
I was up again this morning at 5:30am and I did my Slim in 6 dvd which includes alot of lunges and squats and my thighs are killing me today. I can hardly walk and sitting on the potty is murder. But, other than that I feel great. I like getting my workout done in the am so that I dont think about it all day and it feels like my "me" time since my 3 children, well 4 including my hubby are still snoozing. It leaves my afternoons open for playing with my kids, and all the other mommy/wife duties.

Okay ladies I was up 2 pounds
My leader did give me a bravo for showing up anyway. Okay I really want my 10% before this ww @ work session ends. I would have to lose 12 pounds plus the 2 that I gained back. I have 6 weigh ins left. The last one is on 5/8. Do you think I can do it? I'm going to try!!! I want that keychain!! I guess I have to come up with a plan. Any suggestions would be appreciated! |

Just so I know I'm in the right place, this is for Weight Watchers correct?
I followed Atkins for forever, then Kimkins and last June started WW, I've lost 40 lbs, and am kinda stalled now (due to vacation and sheer laziness) and only gained 2 lbs back, but working hard to move it. Just want to make sure I'm on the right board!!! |

I'm in my 4th week after changing from Atkins. I was scared I might have a gain until my body adjusted and I'm happy to report that I didn't have that gain. |

I felt better when I quit low carbing, I am no longer as moody as I was if that makes sense and I could never go back to restricing things. I love WW. And never expected to see a WW board on LCF when I popped in to see what was up ... and then the Kimkins scandal shocked me as well. Anyway glad to have found you all and looking forward to getting to know you. |

So here are my suggestions for you: 1)drink a lot of water 2)really watch the sodium intake - canned soup, frozen dinners, fast food, a lot of cheese, chips, crackers and canned veggies all have a lot of salt. 3) try to eat all your points every day, or come close. Don't go too low - I did for a few days and actually started gaining weight 4)try to eat a lot of fiber -it's not hard when you eat fiber one cereal, the fiberone bars, fruits, veggies, popcorn, etc. 5) Try to exercise everyday or several days a week - even if just 15 minutes a day. There are lots of days I just don't have much time and just jump on my exercise bike for 15 minutes. I've made a commitment to myself that I can do at least 15 minutes a day of anything! You can try these, or just a few - or none at all if you don't want to. I just know that when I try to do all these everyday, I usually have good losses on my scale at home! Now, I just have to keep them up to continue good losses ![]() Good Luck, I really wish you the best with attaining your goal each week and then your BIG GOAL by 5/8!!! |

I got a Kraft magazine in the mail today and there's a recipe in there called Angel Lush. I used my online WW calc and it says 2 points per serving. 130 cals, 1.5g fat, 1g fiber.
Recipe Display Angel Lush (serves 10) Prep: 15 min Ready In: 1 hr 15 min 1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Fat Free Instant Pudding 1 can (14 fl oz/398 mL) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Light Whipped Topping 1 store-bought angel food cake (284 g) 10 fresh strawberries MIX dry pudding mix and pineapple in medium bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping. CUT cake horizontally into three layers. Place bottom cake layer, cut-side up, on serving plate; top with one-third of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers two times. REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour. Top with strawberries just before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator. Last edited by DeliGirl : 03-27-2008 at 12:19 PM. |
