We had a substitute leader today. She was OK.......very wordy and by the book. With Connie we talk more about members.

I of course, was the first one with my hand up to "share"

I try to participate at the meetings, too, Reg. It is good for me to be there, and to get ideas, good and bad, from other members. DH doesn't "get" why I feel like I need to go or how it helps me, but it just does.

That's an awesome thing to share REG!!!!

you know on saturday, we had a substitute leader also and she was just ok. She kept talking about all the different easter candy and how many points each piece was worth. I really didn't want to hear about candy - because it just made me think about it more. I know others weren't too happy with the substitute because they were kind of yelling at her in the beginning telling her to speak up because they couldn't hear her. I'll be glad at my next meeting to see my regular leader!!!

returning to this website but different program

I used to write here a lot when I was on the Atkins diet back in 2002-2004 or so. I remember it was a very nice site.

I came here to see if there was any room for WW's here and I see that there is. Yay!

I returned to WW's on January 22, 2008 at the highest weight I ever was. I knew that I had had enuf. It was time and I was mentally ready.

I am very pleased with the results so far. I will have to update my stats if I can remember how to do it on this site.

But I have lost almost 15 pounds so far and I can feel the difference in my clothes and because I have a treadmill and I am using it 5 times a week I can feel the difference in my energy and stamina and abilities. (I was all out of breath before I started WW's)

So pretty soon I will be able to go shopping in my own closet. I was in there the other day because we have a wedding to attend on April 5th. I found something to wear. I found some other clothes that I will be able to wear again soon and it was exciting.

I love the Flex program. I stick to the core side of the food mostly tho. I got a little crazy with all those new 100 calorie packets of snacks. That did not help my losses.

Fortunately for me, it has been a long time since I did Atkins so I am not confused between the two. I put everything I lost back on when I started having potatoes again and bread again and the things I was missing on Atkins. It started with bananas at first. I was lusting after the bananas in the grocery store. I finally gave in and that was the start of coming away from the Atkins way of life.

This is my third time around in WW's. I made lifetime member back in the 70's when I lost 80 pounds.

Let me post this and see how to change my stats or set them up. I don't know what it will say.

I did it, I got up at 5:00am, was at the gym by 5:15, left the gym at 6:15 to get my 6th grader on the bus by 6:30, and was at work by 7:30 (which is on time for a change). I had an awesome workout. I went into the aerobics room and did some dumb bell work for my flabby arms ( i hate my arms most of all by the way, I have terrible bat wings), and then I did some lunges and squats, and then I got on the elliptical for 15mins, then the treadmill for 15mins with a tough incline at 3.4 mph it was invigorating. I felt great afterwards and I went home and pulled a Reg, and got on the scale and it was very good to me, I hope to hit 189 by the end of the week.
Wow Kudos to you for getting to the gym that early!! I don't think I could make it. I don't like my bat wings either. That's why I don't wear anything sleeveless. I see so many cute things too but the sleeveless thing gets me everytime. KUTGW!

did not weigh last night at my WW meeting, since I am over my goal and they would have had to charge me. (My leader suggested this.) Then I got on the scale this morning at home, and it was the same. I have gained and lost the same half pound several times this week, but I am going to be patient and stay OP. I think my body is still adjusting from being on Atkins.
srsmom I think you body is probably still adjusting from Atkins. I know when I went from Atkins to a plan that allowed more carbs I actually gained a few at first but then I lost it. Don't despair, I know the scale will move soon.

Quote:
Fiber One Cinn Raisin Bread.....for 2 slices... 140 cal/1.5g fat/8g fiber, for 2 points

Skinny Cow.......strawberry/shortbread cookie.......2 points....totally worth the $4.59
Now these both sound good!! I'll have to look for the cinammon bread the next time I'm in the store. I'm still leary of those skinny cows. I'm scared I may eat them all up! You enjoy them!

Thanks !!

I skipped soup yesterday and I took a poop today......It should be a good weigh in

It was goooooooooooooood !! -3.2 -34.2

Reg you are too funny! I think it was flower that mentioned the soup and she made a great point. I can eat soup sometimes but if I eat it too much I'll definitely retain water weight.

Woohoo!! Congrats!!! I guess the pooping helped.

Well I checked the scale and I'm still up about 3 freaking pounds. I know it's water weight and all but good grief! I mean I stayed within my flex points and I'm still way up on the freaking scale! I'm thinking about skipping my weigh in tomorrow. I don't want to step on the scale heavier than I was last week!! Two people have already told me not to skip my weigh in but I'm still considering it. What do you ladies think? Do you still go to your meeting even though you know you're going to be heavier than last week? I wonder will they take back one of my 5 lb stars??

I'm glad to see that everyone is doing great!! Keep up the good work everyone!!

Yeah I remember following Atkins and lusting over the fruit in the grocery store too. For me it was grapes. I LOVE grapes and that was one of the hardest things for me to deal with on Atkins. I just refused to believe that my grapes made me fat. I'm much happier with WW. It sounds like you're doing great! If you've made lifetime before I know you'll do it again! Feel free to post often, we're a friendly bunch here.

I feel your disappointment. I myself pulled a Reg and weighed and I am up 3 pounds today. I am to blame. I have veer off points and did not exercise. I think I will myself go weigh and face the moment.

I am so glad to have you back my friend.

Thanks Babbs!! I'm glad to be back. Life is still kicking my ass and things are still the same but I've decided that they can be a LOT worse and I'll continue doing the best that I can. I sure wish I could win the lottery though....hell even a sweepstakes would be nice. Guess I gotta play though..

Maybe I will go face the scale tomorrow...I still don't know. Maybe I'll skip my at work meeting and go to one of the ww centers on Saturday. Maybe by then I'll have gotten rid of the extra weight. I guess that's cheating huh?

Look forward to your postings and getting to know you. We are a very friendly, encouraging bunch maybe a little ornery at times. But all in fun.

I am the slowest loser of the bunch. but I so enjoy everyone and it will eventually melt away. Generally I am to blame.

Hi again!

Flower, I can see how you could get used to your regular leader. I have only known mine for 2 weeks, but I like her!

Hi Slimdays!! And. I have been on WW almost 3 weeks after doing Atkins on and off again since 2004...I am really liking it!

Beachbound, WTG with deciding to go weigh anyway...it can help you get back on track. That is one thing I am having trouble with on WW, because nothing is really "off limits", unless you want it to be. It is all about portion control. On Atkins, I know one bite of something could knock me out of ketosis...I don't have that safety net anymore...

Oraki, maybe the weigh in and meeting will help? But, if you are not ready, there is always Saturday!

Hi to Pammy, Dedicated, Reg, Deligirl, and Twinkerbell, too!! I hope I did not miss anyone...still trying to learn all your names!

Morning ladies!! Good luck to Babbs and anyone else weighing in today. Including me.

Well I've decided that I GUESS I'll go to the meeting today. They always make me feel better. I just HATE having to step on that scale today.

Well I gotta get dressed. Have a great day everyone!

Do not skip a weigh in.

For me, if I skipped one, I may be slow to get back OP.

Have you considered doing the KICK START plan for 2 weeks.......that'll get the scale moving.....downward.
