MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Well I guess I'll start it off! It's not quite Monday yet but you get the point.
Let's see a little about myself... My name is Latisha, I'm 32 years old married with no children. I have a mini dachshund named Shaq. He's the cutest little thing and he's my buddy! I'll post a pic of him so everyone can see! I love to garden, read (when I find the time) and watch some tv. I'm a big Lost fan even though last season it kinda annoyed me but I know I'll still watch it on Thursday. I'm also a Grey's Anatomy fan even though the whole Shepherd & Meredith dynamic is just starting to annoy me too. I LOVE to cook and watch food network. That's part of my problem. ![]() I live in Norfolk VA and have lived here all my life. I hope to one day be able to travel and visit different places. Well that's all that I can think of right now. I hope everyone has a great week and we're all big losers this week! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Morning gals !! I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
A little about me. My "real" name is Regina, but everyone calls me Reg (except for my folks). I am 42, married 17 years, have 2 children Kyle, 9, and Rachel 5. I am a TV junkie without enough hours in the day to watch all my shows. I dont know how I ever lived without a DVR ![]() I am a PT Team Member for Target. I work 2 overnight shifts a week.....Thurs and Friday. After Rachel was born I had heart failure and almost left the hospital in a pine box. My condition was pregnancy related. While I am doing quite well for a heart failure patient I will still need surgery by the time I'm 60. So, you see, losing weight is a very important. I did Atkins for 7 months and lost 60-something LBS. Fell off when I started adding bread (I'm an addict, no doubt) I'm a big NASCAR fan (Go Jeff Gordon !! WooHoo !!). My favorite shows include (but not limited to): Greys, Heroes, October Road, ER, Big Shots, NUMB3RS, 24, American Idol, Big Brother (everyone deserves a little trash-TV), Housewives, Brother's & Sisters. (I'm sure I'm missing a few) I LOVE the beach......in the warm months we go to the beach every Sunday. I love to dig and built forts and castles. I love to do laundry, but I hate putting the clean clothes away. I am addicted to COACH leather goods ![]() |

I bought new work pants a while back w/o trying them on and they were too tight. I was able to wear them last Friday ![]() My "skinny" LEVIS went on w/o stretching first (walking around the house with the button/fly open until they loosen up a bit) this morning and they're loose in the waist ![]() |

My name is Caroline. I am 42, married, and no children. Instead, we have four cats and a dog. That is one of my cats in my signature. We live in Toledo. My husband is pursuing his bachelor's degree but as soon as he graduates, we are out of here! I can't handle the cold weather anymore. My family, who I am here for, is just going to have to come and visit me in my new, hopefully warm, climate.
I have been a runner for 30 years and an emotional eater for longer. Back in 1989, I went on WW and lost over 50 pounds and kept it off for years and years until some major life changes came my way. My 30s were filled with yo-yo dieting and self-loathing. I finally had enough. WW works when you work it and I know what my emotional triggers are, so here I am, ready for a lifestyle change! I'm pretty excited to get back into my old pair of cutoff jean shorts which I have faithfully held onto through my fat years. I will get into them comfortably this year. I have no doubt! Well, I am back from my trip to NY. It was a lot of fun. I had never been there so I was able to go out after work was finished for the day. I drank a little alcohol, had a piece of baked Alaska (only five points), and walked everywhere. When I got back home, I immediately got back on track and ended up losing 1.2 pounds! Yippeee! Latisha! Your puppy is so cute! Yay Reg on your skinny jeans and work pants!

Ladies!!!!!I am 46 Married for 28 years to a wonderful guy, Two sons (27 and 17) The 27 year old is married to my beautiful daughter in law. The 17 year old is a SENIOR this year!! We have three 15 year old cats that I hand raised, and a 12 year old Black lab (retired) and then we have the "problem child" the 7 year old weiner dog, Oscar Meyer Weiner. He is something else! I am a lifetime member of weight watchers since 9th grade ( I inherited the fat genes ) I lost 80 pounds 6 years ago on Atkins and then life happened and 70 of it came back. I'm doing WW this go around and enjoying it ![]() Reg Congrats!!!!! Ladies, just a quick question, I'm doing this on my own and am allowed 27 points a day. I've lost 20 pounds since the 2nd of this month and I'm doing well. BUT this weekend I went off. I had a few margarittas and a few mudslides. I just over indulged food and drink wise. So.....would you lower your points this week to get yourself back on track OR just stay within your point range for the week??? I've never really let myself go over 27 points a day and I have never used my flex 35 points before...so what would ya'll do??? Thanks! signed A wanna be skinny diva! ![]() |

Hi Ladies, I'm probably the Senior of the WW pack.
First of all, Oraki your dog is precious. I love dogs. I have a diabetic, blind Rottweiler/Chow mix which is such an important part of our family. She has always been a very gentle dog and its amazing how well she gets around. She takes insulin shots twice a day and eats prescription dog food. Reg - I pray you will have continued good health. Sounds like it is very important you take good care of yourself. Congratulations on getting in those new pants. Winstonian - I have a daughter named Caroline. Before we married, my DH told me if we ever had a daughter she would be named Caroline. He is a very proud South Carolinian. Kimmer - Personally, I would forget the weekend and move on with your regular WW routine. Afterall, you are entitled to use those 35 points; especially ever now and then. I use mine just about everyday at 3 points per day. I just about have to as I get so hungry at 18 points. Pam - Congrats on those inches lost. I am in my late 50's, happily married with three adult daughters. They all married men from out of town; two in NJ and one in TX. My middle daughter, Caroline, is the Mother of my two grandchildren, Jonah who is 6 and his little Sister, Anleigh who is almost 4. They are so precious and the "lights of my life". You never dream you can love anything with as much passion as you love your own children till you have grandchildren. I work as an Office Manager for a commercial roofing contractor and have been here almost 15 years. I am the only female in the company of about 25 employees and really enjoy my job. My DH is a retired Verizon Telephone Company Manager and is now a Real Estate Agent. I had a lot of success on lowcarb losing from 160 pounds to as low as 91 pounds. I regained a little weight intentionally to about 105 pounds and maintained that for a couple of years. It wasn't until last year that I finally started putting weight back on. I lost most of it again and have regained about 20 pounds since last Fall. My oldest DD wedding started me on a binge when I ate her wedding cake. Bad Granny. Thats enough for now. More later. Ann |

Back from vet. Intro time:
My name is Julia, but as Reg and Pam will atest, I am often called Nart. Others call me "She Who Must Be Obeyed!" ![]() I've been married for many years, but in all honesty have no idea how long. (Seriously, I can't remember the year we got married. Again, Reg and Pam can vouch for me on this) I know it has been longer than 10 years (cause we went to England for our tenth anniversary) but less than 20 (Cause my husband swears he will let me know.) No children. Two and a half cats and two dogs. I was always blessed with a high metabolism, and was very active at work. Less than a year ago I switched jobs. Went from running non-stop for 12 hours a day to sitting on my tucus for 10 hours a day. Hence the 50 lb weight gain. I did WW a few years back and had good success, but moved and didn't have access to meetings (which I NEED!) so "fell off the wagon" so to speak. Joined up a couple of years ago with a co-worker who didn't stick with it herself and made me feel bad for losing weight, so I lost my motivation. Took a good hard look at myself this Jan and decided I didn't like what I was becoming, physically and mentally. So with the support of the Middies (Thanks Reg & Pam!) I have been making some changes for ME. My life is hectic so I don't get to post as much as I like, but will ramble on when given the time and chance (not like you couldn't have guessed that from this post!). Oh, and I forgot to mention.... I have a very warped sense of humor. (Nothing to be alarmed about....ok, maybe a little alarmed, but really, I'm harmless!) That's it. End of story. The Nart has spoken! |

I think after 2+ weeks of eating below my limit, it's finally catching up to me.
I am STARVING !! I had breakfast, snack, lunch, & snack and I'm looking for more . I've had 2 bottles of water (16.9 standard size), and I'm not sure what to do.Should I have 2 dinners ?? Perhaps load up on some protein after I pick up the kids at school, then, play it by ear around dinner time? Help ![]() |

I'll respond to everyone's post in a bit but I just wanted to tell Reg to try and have some protein. When I'm hungry like that protein is the only thing that really satisfies me. When I was low carbing it and I felt like that I would always eat some time of protein with fat and it always helped. Those choices may not be very ww friendly though.
Maybe a points friendly protein will do the trick. HTH and I'll be back to post more later. |
