What about The Zone??
Is it not considered low carb? It is the best diet I have ever followed as far as how I feel. also the hardest to stick to with getting macronutrients always correct.

I just couldn't even try a diet that expected me to live on 800 calories per day! That was how much I'd be allowed on the Zone. I don't know if it was just some quirk of my particular size - maybe other people get a more reasonable allowance.

hmmm I thought of trying it once but it just seemed so complicated! I prefer diets that are easy to follow and don't require too much thought lol!!

My lean body mass is 90 lbs, and the protein was something like 0.7 times that: 63g = 250 kcals. The Zone ratios are 30% protein, 30% fat, 40% carb, so that worked out to 250 kcals protein, 250 kcals fat, 333 kcals carb (83g carb). Total 833 kcals. I eat at least twice that much and don't want to lose any more weight. Even if I could cut my calories that low without losing far too much weight, I don't want to. Actually, my maintenance diet is probably similar to the zone as far as protein and carbs go, but with way more fat than that, so it doesn't look anything like his ratios.

I did the Zone for a couple of months. It was too many carbs for me and way too complicated. The bars are very good, though..LOLOL..I don't think I lost any weight on it.

the Zone is considered a controlled carb diet.
I did very well on it previously...but that was before I ever did very low carb and induction. I could not go back to it now. But the bars are the best protein bars of them all...i used to eat them no matter what plan i was on...except Atkins... they do have HFCorn Syrup ![]() |
