calorie/ carb cycling
Hi everyone,
I just started this calorie/carb cycling plan on Wed. And have gone down from 154 to 149.5 as of today and probably may have lost even more since I just weighed myself and the scale only shows me at 150 tonight after being 149.5 this morning, I usually weigh 2-3 pounds lower in the morning . I am happy but a little amazed with the results the lowest so far has been 1200 cals on wed and 1650 the highest on thursday the carbs ( all good carbs) have ranged from 25-165. My exercise is the same weights, mountain hiking and some steady state cardio. I feel a little hyped up doing this and have a hard time falling and staying asleep. Has anyone tried this type of plan??? Thanks Jean BTW The reason I am so amazed at this loss is I have been low carbing since June so this is not the initial induction losses I am seeing. |

Hi fjeld,
I don't really eat anything special just low carb most days moderate protein and moderate fat. I cycle over 7 days from a low of 1200 cals to a high of 1700. When I do a higher carb day I choose whole grains nuts seeds and and sweet potatoes.I am just amazed how well this is working for me. I am down another pound today and I also got tom today! Jean |

That's great it's working so well Jean!
The reason I was wondering is because I'm reading up on periodic fasting/calorie restriction which also works really well for weight loss. I wrote some about my experiences with this on the Intermittent fasting thread. |
