Yesterday-window from 10-6-1 nocarb shake, beef 4 oz, tuna-shrimp salad with mayo, walnuts. Coconut bark. 2000 cals, 10 carbs. More than I usually eat, but avoided the Halloween candy which is still sitting on the table, ds can snack on it, as long as he gets it out of my sight.
We have a whole new month ahead-keep on trucking, everyone.

Yesterday, I went out for lunch & enjoyed all my favorite things to excess. I only had the one meal as I was stuffed the rest of the day. So I did a 1 hour eating window & a 23 hr. fast. I was dreading getting on the scale this A.M. but am happy to report that the scale showed a 1/10 of a pound loss

Wolf, I had a similar experience when I had oral surgery. The nurse came out to the parking lot with me to wait for my friend. I finally had to tell the nurse & surgeon that I was meeting my friend at a nearby boutique. They followed me to the boutique, thankfully they didn't come into the store to help me look for my "imaginery" friend, LOL! Hope you are now pain free Wolf.

Good morning!! It's a rainy fall day today! I just love fall, though. But the leaves are coming down. Oh no! That means winter is coming and I still don't have oil. Need some money first. lol

Today is a fast day for me. Drinking my liquids. DH is doing pretty good -- much better than I thought he would be. Making plans on where to go to put in applications -- and believe me that is a new one!

Have a wonderful day!

Toodles!

Yay! November! I've never had such a good month as October. I'm sad to see her go. Not getting on the scale this morning. I indulged in some candy last night. I finally feel on the mend. Woke up this morning w/o regrets and ready to hit my goal this month. Under 275. I know I can do it with IF! Then I'll have a 'see how far I can go' goal for December. Who knows where I'll be at New Year's. I know where we'll all be - lighter!!

Good morning! It sure felt good to get in some actual sleep last night- I was so deep in sleep (unusual for me)- that I didn't hear the alarm this morning- but woke up in time to get dd to school- she is "colt of the day"- she gets to put some of her fave. things in a glass showcase, & her parents get to eat dinner with her at school. She was very excited about it.
It was COLD COLD COLD this morning! Even now it is only 25, but wind chill makes it feel like 18.
I am down 2 lbs. since yesterday, a HUGE surprise since I started t.o.m. today, which also was a surprise. Since doing lower carbs, and not eating the junk I do not have the pre-cycle crud as before.

Thanks for the kindness~ it does take awhile for the cortisone to kick in if it is going to work- anywhere from a few days to a week. If there is no marked improvement, I am suppose to get another one within a month.

Hi WittyKitten,

Links to IF are on the first post written by Just4Me. A quick explanation is an eating window of 5 hours (My window is 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. with two meals no restrictions on what you can eat, (I usually choose low-carb) and not eating during the other 19 hours (water, tea, coffee are allowed). Some people fast for 23 hours and only eat for 1 hour a day. Others have an eating window of 6, 7, or 8 hours & then don't eat for the remaining hours. This plan is very flexible and many "tweak" the plan to work for them & whatever type of eating plan they are on.

Hi wittykitten! I would start by downloading and reading the fast-5 ebook. Then come back here and start asking the tons of questions you will have. This is a great group with lots of helpful information.

Okay peeps, my scale is doing some funky things. I got a huge whoosh overnight and it's not even TOM. I am not counting it until Saturday. We will see what happens between now and then and if it sticks.

Carolinasweetie---Congrats on the 2 lbs gone.

Brandnewme--- Love your comment: "I know where we''ll all be--lighter!!" I agree 100%. I am actually looking forward to losing weight in November and December for a change. Isn't it great!

Hi everyone! i got a pretty good whoosh too but maybe I shouldn't change my profile yet huh? Anyway, weighed in at 154 this morning! I re-weighed myself 6 times to make sure it was right and it stuck! It has not budged for 3 days and I was about to give up on low carbs and go back to veggies and low calories, but I finally got some results!
So this will be our November thread right? Cool! haven't we gotten so busy? Some days it takes forever to read through everything! I love it!
Have a lovely day ladies!

Yay for wooshies! I find myself saying "I love IF" at least once a day.

Had the candy yesterday and realized something earlier - I'd probably have had diabetes a lot longer if I hadn't done IF when I was younger. My blood sugar dropped from Halloween candy high to normal ~1 hour ago and if I'd had breakfast that # wouldn't have come down, it would have just kept going higher. My IF days from young-adulthood were self-regulating blood sugar issues I had at the time. My troubles came from eating that way more often during a day. I'm so grateful to be back to IF for good.

Happy November, all!

I love this month! Every November, I write a novel for a contest in thirty days (50,000 words) so it's crazy to add that to my regular life, but I love it and do it for fun every year anyway!

We had a great time last night and no candy temptations for me. The thought of eating candy is just kind of eh to me right now anyway. I think it's because I've been allowing desert with my meals. I am hopeful that I will want to start choosing healthier foods soon, but I am not going to force it and my goal is to just trust the plan. No bingeing or eating outside the window, so all's well on that front.

Weight is holding steady at this time, no big ups or downs.

I love IF and trust it!

Rachel

Rachael, good luck with the contest. I would love to your piece when you complete it. Hope you win.

I also love eating the IF way & KISS. The only "tweak" that I am making to my usual LC meals is to allow myself a CAD reward meal as an indulgence every so often. I try not to let it get out of hand because I'm 30 lbs away from maintenace.

Congrats Carolinasweetie on the 2 pounds and Missalissa on the mystery whoosh!

IF Saved me again last night! I felt like eating! I wasn't hungry, but I felt like eating! Anything, it didn't matter! I was almost going to cheat and eat after my window closed with a hard boiled egg,(which is nothing, right?) but i didn't!! I did not want to cheat and have to fess up to you great gals! I was ready to throw in the towel last night and totally change all my diet strategies today, but I didn't! and my IF is what saved me, had I been able to eat, I would have binged! Maybe on all low carb and legal choices, but a binge all the same and no matter what anyone says, yes calories do count in the end!
WHEW! I am so glad I didn't ! I am so glad I couldn't! I am so glad I have found you guys!

Way to go to all of you that have had a visit from the woosh fairy! Now would ya please send her my way??

I didn't sleep very well last night. I'm feeling pretty yucky. I've got lots of junk that I need to get done today but I'm not motivated right now. I need to take my giant comforter to the laundromat because it does not fit in my washer. It costs a small fortune to wash the dang thing. I also need to get to the store and get some more food.

I don't have an appetite today though. I usually open my window around this time but I'm not even mildly hungry so I'm gonna wait till my tummy starts to growl.

Yesterday:
1:30 - 6

4 Bacon Strips
1 Turkey Link
1 Big delicious salad with decadent ranch dressing.... mmmmmmmmm

Have a great KISS Day!

Yeppers, me too. I have been kinda playing around with my plan the closer I get to goal. Trying to KISS to Thanksgiving and see where I am. I think it will be interesting when at goal what I will be able to eat or not eat.

Okay, sending the whoosh fairy to Hayley. You gotta send her back though, cuz I'm trying to beat kar to 155~

Missalissa loves her some decadent ranch dressing! That's why I love Atkins. Any eating plan that lets me eat steak and ranch dressing and STILL lose weight, man, it just doesn't get any better than that!

I know! I just love ranch dressing. I used to eat it on everything! Before LC I'd even dip my pizza in it.

Gonna sound weird, but to this day my favorite snack is ranch dressing, wheat thins and a hunk of red rind cheese. YUMMY! Maybe someday I can have the wheat thins again.

I totally prefer the kind you make yourself to the bottled. No comparison!!
