my hcg journey
I found that site thanks to the links here - can't believe I never found it before. I will be settling in to read the p3 thread this evening after I'm done with my chili rellenos. Thanks for the recommendation!

Daaaaaayum, TxLori! Love your new avatar!
4gotn1~how did I miss my sweet Furbaby loving friend?? How are you? MizJewels, welcome! Congrats on a successful journey thus far with Hcg! And Sungoddess, another thought...BareMinerals themselves may have a concealor or Jane Iredale may. Google them to see. I normally never wear a concealor with my mineral powder; dont seem to need it. And when I wear liquid foundation, I always use a concealor. Try the minerals first to see if you even will need the concealor. Aims, I am probably gonna take a break of 6 weeks simply because I don't want to be on the protocol and going thru the holidays; yet at the same time I dont want to possibily pack the lbs back on either. I think the issues with immunity were attributed to the quality of the hcg back then. It seems like I read that somewhere, but cant recall where. And as for leaving it out..my doctor always made sure to tell me to take my shots straight home and put in the fridge. Dont stop and run in the grocery store, go straight home. That stuff is literally like gold, so I wouldnt risk it. 4gotn1-I still haven't found the thread on squishy fat...I will do it now! If fat has to be squishy before its ready to be released, my fat has been ready a looooong time. |

Thanks Sissie - I'm going to do the break too. Since I started 10/11, I can go through 11/11 on the VLCD and January would be about a 6 week break. I just wanted to know what others were doing...I'm a curious one.
And...I didn't want to make a mistake. Thanks again! ![]() 4gotn1 - there is no manufacturer name on my bottle of Lipo Lean - just the name of my clinic. |

Hi Everyone! Glad to read that everyone is doing so well!
TXLori, I agree... Your new pic looks great! Been really busy - but weight has remained stable. Today is a "no-shot" day which always seems to get my "system" going... So, tomorrow I hope to have a larger loss. I'm down 19lbs - I've lost track of how many days. I'm doing a 40+ round so I think I'll be done by the 1st week of November. Just a few weeks ago I was also a Newbie!!! My BEST suggestion to all of you is to stay prepared. I have made some mistakes and blew it because I wasn't prepared with my food or was prepared, but didn't eat ENOUGH. Fwiw, the only thing I've switched is my lotion. My clinic said Eucerin is OK. That stuff is soooo greasy!!!! It doesn't seem to absorb because I leave grease marks on EVERYTHING I touch! Overall, I haven't had problems with sleeping.... I completely ZONK out at night - but do wake up easier & earlier! Cowgirl, Maybe I missed it - but, did you "load" again during P2 or were you on P3? I ask this because this last week I have had stomach growls and hunger more than usual. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!!! It's BE-A-UTIFUL here!!

Aims - I also got no direction. I feel like they run people out of there like cattle herds. I had never heard of hcg until I went to the clinic for some suppressants. They gave me the option (basically, how big is your pocketbook
). The first month I got suppressants and the Releana but found I never used them. So I still have a full bottle of them. I never knew about the oils in lotions, make-up. soaps, etc. until I found it on my own. I asked the Dr. about it and he said, "I always recommend to my patients to use oil-free products because it's better for your skin". Well, HELLO! Am I not a patient... he never told me that! Then, he says all his data says you have better results if you don't exercise...but he never asked me if I exercise so how does he know if he doesn't ask his patients? After researching I asked them about the steak days or apple days and their response was "you will find all kinds of crazy things on the internet". Every time I mention mixing it myself, they just skip right over that little comment. They can't make $$ off of me then!! ![]() So, basically, rely on this thread and any other groups/websites you find to help you out. I look at them as only my "dealer". ![]() The Dr. told me I should do at least 8 weeks before taking a break. But I take that with a grain of salt considering the rest of my conversations with them. All the documentation on Releana that I can find says we are not supposed to build up immunity like the hcg injections or sublingual. However, I can't find anyone that can tell me what's different about Releana because I know of people that have hit immunity on normal hcg sublingual doses. |

Hey Kathy,
I was sick a couple of weeks ago and had to go off protocol for about a week. I tried to just get back on protocol and had severe hunger and stomach cramps to the point of throwing up. That's why I decided to re-load and it has helped tremendously! I have felt MUCH better today. I'm not sure why you are having hunger issues but I'm not sure re-loading is the answer. I had actually quit taking hcg for the week I was sick. Since you are taking it on a daily basis I'm not sure what will happen. I gained 3 pounds on my re-load so if you are willing to risk a gain from loading, you might try it for a day?? |

My detoxing consists of 40 percent of calories in the morning 30 percent at lunch 10 at dinner with the other 10 at snack time. Lots of supplements and trying to be as organic as I can. I also eat 100 grams of protein right before I go to bed. I must eat 2 apples a day, 1 grapefruit a day. I have lost six pounds in two weeks. I do the coconut oil, and should do 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar but I can't get it down. I am just very excited about starting the hcg. Thanks for asking.

Here is the squishiness thread! There is an important link on the myth of "loose skin" you should check out too!
DD has been loading for two days....she says feels guilty eating all these off limit foods that she KNOWS put the weight on! LOL! She has decided to maybe stay on longer than 21 days....she has Thanksgiving, A Birthday Party around the 12th of December and Christmas. She might just go off the HCG 3 days before each event and eat moderately....she will probably gain ( as I will taking those days off) but should quickly lose it w/ hcg. She will have time to get in the important first 23 days.

4gotn1~thanks so much for posting that link!!! You are the best!
I am also wondering if part of why I had a lb gain was because I didn't...go yesterday or today. I am drinking some Yerba Mate hoping it helps remedy the situation. I think its because after I got a hold of some nasty smelly chicken I ate only red meat for a few days...and I think that has created some issues.Tomorrows my last injection and from what I have read on MHJ, in P3 you dont really want to be trying to lose any more weight...that you want to maintain...I would love to lose and if I dont eat sugar and carbs, it helps... I guess I am trying to avoid doing another round and once again looking for a quick weight loss miracle, altho, this is the only one out there. ::sigh::: I am just in a contrary mood today for some reason!!! |

wow, thanks for all the comments on the new pic.
![]() My dr had me on 250 iu. It was working fine, but I seemed to be tired and I didn't feel this massive energy that many people talked about. Since I lowered the dosage to 175iu, I feel great! I just hate that I will be going off of it in about 10 days. I am definitely focused on P3 coming soon because I don't want this feeling to go away! I think alot of the feeling has to do with low carbs! If bread and pasta make me feel that run down, I don't know that I will ever eat them again!

mizjewels,
I tried the choc syrup from walden farms too and I thought it was tasty. I dipped a few strawberries in it. The dressings from walden are ok, I usually dip in them and don't pour it all over the lettuce or tomatoes. I don't think it would taste as good if I poured it all over. I usually put some Frank's Red Hot or tabasco on salad. I love it! Last edited by TxLoriJean : 10-19-2008 at 04:20 PM. |

Hi
Quote:
I didn't get the appetite suppressants, just chose the Releana because a friend of a friend had good results with it. This is my 4th week starting today. There are times I get a bit hungry, but for the most part, I do OK. Having been to Broadway, with little direction (ex. PH 2, PH 3)? I'm trying to figure it all out as I read the posts here...I assume PH2 is the active stage of the 23 days of HCG and VLCD, and phase 3 is after we stop taking it, and have to follow a different diet. I went to the myhgcjourney site, and have been reading there, and also downloaded the pounds and inches booklet. That helped explain a lot, but I still have some questions. They never mentioned a thing about makeup, shampoos, etc. I have been using my usual, and they seem to be OK. Perhaps though, I would have lost more if I used a different type? (Help here anyone?) I take B12 supplements X 2 daily, and magnesium as they prescribed. So far, I have plenty of energy, and no bathroom issues. I do not drive to OKC for the injections, I just take the tablets. I plan to keep going until I get to my goal weight of 125, so another round or 2 is in store for me. I hope to reach that goal by the end of November or mid December at the latest. Leaving for a cruise next week this weekend and I'm very worried about gaining! I hear Owasso is getting a Broadway Clinic...I have only gone twice..once for my physical and 1st meds, and then again last week for a refill and to be weighed, measured, etc. Having one closer would be nice to avoid the drive. Hang in there...we are LOSING and luv'n it! Smiles, ej |

It's almost the end of loading day!!
Just got back from whole foods - am stocked with tea, stevia, lemons, chicken and protocol veggies. Sadly, I also had to hit the thrift store for some larger pants. I have this fabulous bulbous tummy right now. Will not be surprised if I gained 9 lbs loading. Which just really pushes my already tight wardrobe to the limit. How long did it take folks to drop the loading weight? I am crossing my fingers that it leaves and take some of its friends with it before the end of the week. I rechecked the shakes I bought from the clinic and I don't see how they could fit into the plan. 90 cals + 7 carbs + a bunch of fat. ??? Four times a day is 360 cals. Which leave 120 for meat and veggies? I'll be skipping the shakes unless the dr. comes up with a compelling argument for why I should eat them. So...I've got my food prepped for tomorrow. yippee! Thanks for everyone for answering my qs!!

Thanks and a question
Thanks for the welcomes everyone - what a nice place this is, a breathe of fresh air from some of those yahoo groups.
![]() Someone mentioned about losing in p3. And yes I know we aren't supposed to. But today I am 1 lb below LDW and I just got TOM yesterday so it could even be more. So I have this push me pull me attitude...On one hand I'm freaked that I'm not in my 2lb range, but the other evil little side of me is crying "shut up! you lost more weight!". Well I'm wondering- I know p3 is what resets the hypothalamus-so do I really want it reset at over 200lbs? Heck no, I want it reset at a normal weight. So I'm wondering, when we know we have multiple rounds to do, do we really need to worry about resetting at each p3 or should the focus be on the LAST p3 once we've reached goal? I know this is contrary to what Simeons says. I mean I know most people don't believe it-but those of you have worked the cure know-prior to hcg I did not eat enough in volume to be as darn fat as I was. And now I supposedly need 1900 calories a day to maintain this weight and it's hard to eat that much food! I figure once I do the final round and the daily caloric requirement drops, it will be easier to be able to maintain in terms of being in line with the amount of food I'm comfortable eating. Working it into my day is tough, I don't have the kind of job where I can pull out a snack and just eat every few hours to keep my calories up. And by the time I get home from work and cook it's 7ish before I'm having dinner. Since I'm in bed by 9, there's no after meal snack time either. Anyone have any ideas or advice? |

EJ, have you googled to see if there are any clinics in Tulsa that distribute Releana? I can't believe that there are around 5 in OKC and none in Tulsa. But that will be cool if you get one in Owasso! Hopefully you'll get a better Dr. Broadway has never mentioned the lipo lean pills. I actually don't think I'm going to go back for my shots since I'm planning on stopping in 3 weeks. I will just go back after X-mas. I can just as easily weigh on my scale (that's the only one that matters anyway, right? ) and I got some multivitamins at GNC that's loaded with all kinds of goodies. I was a little scared to take them while I was getting the lipo shot but now should be fine. And I'm so jealous of the cruise! I'm taking my mom on one in April for her 60th B-day and I can hardly wait. What ship are you on?TXLoriJean - OMG girl! You can tell a major difference in your new pic. You have lost so much in your face!!! You are absolutely beautiful!!! Christie - Here's to your scale moving the right direction ![]() Awww, Sissie - do you need a ??Where is fib-by-40? Becca, I am sooo jealous that you got to load!!! I have been making a list of places I will load at when I do R2!!!
![]() Penny~I did sleep good while on the HcG. Thats what I liked about it versus the diet pills. I took Adipex before and was so "geeked" up, I couldn't sleep. I would be up at 3 am cleaning. Who wants to do that at any hour? 4gotn1~Congrats to your daughter that she is taking control of her health!! Good for her! What brand of smooth move tea is it? And how long/often do you drink it? MizJewels, I was wondering the same thing and thats something that is gnawing at me....I want to lose 20 more lbs and understand the theory that if you do it on P3, you may eventually gain it back and it may come back quicker. I also understand that I still have some abnormal fat stores that need to come off; I SEE them, so I know they are there. But I would love to continue to lose a few lbs so my next round I dont have so much to lose. I will have to talk to my doctor about it Tuesday when I go to my appt... Ok. I am really upset. Before I took my shower a few minutes ago (ok, I admit it, I have been stuck in my jammies all day), I had gained up to 144. From 140 FRIDAY to 144 today-and I have not cheated or anything. WTH!!?!?!??! I am so upset I need a padded room so I can wail. And my child is standing here next to me eating Cheetos. Argh. I am not a happy camper right now. ![]() |

Phase 2 is too much work, too expensive to buy the HCG to take that chance with. Again that is how I feel....I am going to have a LOT Of rounds and plan to try to do continuous but if I go off for more than a few days ( for Thanksgiving and Christmas) I plan to do at least 3 weeks of phase 3...yes I hate setting my point at that weight but I would hate even more delaying the next round and risking coming back to this weight. Cowgirl07 Quote:

She can be a bit moody and I was for a few days ( not all at once , kinda scattered) and I HOPE she doesn't get that....lol It is traditional medicinals...they have chocolate and it shocks me that, that isn't my fav...not much choc flav. I like the reg. better and add 2 sweet n' low's. It says use no more than 7 days. It says produces results in 6-12 hours and it did in like 10-12 for me. I only used it one night ( each time I needed ) the thing is to make sure to steep it for 10-15 mins to get all the important ingredients out of it.
