Dina - OMG Dina, I love love love love your hair! You look awesome in your siggy pic! BTW - Happy Belated Anniversary!!! And back. YOU CAN SOOO DO THIS DINA. My gosh, if you stick to plan by May 5th you can lose a ton. YOU CAN DO IT! I don't know if you have stuck long enough to get on KT but what a relief. It's kind of a lil' reward for doing so well on SMD. I have been eating healthy and my portions are finally in control! The best part? I am still losing! I even managed to not scarf down all the food at my party on Saturday! That's a shocker for me I ate mostly protein. My one bad decision? One cupcake. Not too bad eh

Hey I have a question for you all...

How much did you guys, those who have done it, lost on KT? The book says 3-4 pounds... and I was just wondering if that is accurate?

Seems about true for me. I am on a weightloss challenge somewhere else and our weekly weigh ins are Mondays. Last Monday I weighed in at 214. Yesterday I was at 211. Mind you, and that's that I have not been following KT as strictly as I should!

Well, I don't exercise during the 2 weeks of SMD because the calories are low. I have been walking on the treadmill during KT tho'. Not much but something.

GOOD LUCK AND POST OFTEN

Welcome!!!

Yes, I am exercising during it 5-7 days a week. I feel that I have a ton of energy, and it really helps with the weight loss. I run for about 2 miles every day... if that helps any!

WHOA. You are good. I was told that you shouldn't exercise since the calories are low. Walking maybe but running?!?!

Thanks! I heard that you shouldn't exercise with such low calories because it can make you really tired, and frankly, most people don't have enough stamina to exercise on SMD. However, I seem to be the exception.... because I have a TON of energy and I can exercise more on SMD then I could on Atkins!

A question re. scarsdale

Hey everyone!

Hope you don't mind me butting in?!

Everytime I have started Scarsdales after 2 days I get a sore throat! I went to the doctors and he said it was due to the low calories I was eating!

Has anyone experienced after being on Scarsdale that they get a cold/sore throat etc?

Maybe I am eating too low amount of calories, what is your calorie intake on SMD?

Thanks!

I haven't experienced that. I tend to keep my calories in the very low 1000s. Sometimes depending on the day I may go up....(I LOVE ME STEAKS )

Dina, just eat burger till you are full if its only one fine, if its 1 1/2 burgers ok if its 2 ok too but the more protein you eat the fuller you get so you may only need one plus a salad, thats all I usually can get down.

Good point, but I can eat cow til I pass out and still gnaw at some more! So, unfortunately, I have to set limits!

Well, I am still doing KT. I will start back on SMD on Thursday and will weigh that AM. My clothes are fitting sooo much better. I am afraid to get on the scale. TOM visited this week! I must to check progress. I will surely miss my skim milk (fat free half/half-evap skim milk) in my AM coffee on SMD. When I get within 5lbs of goal I am going to do some type of lightener in my coffee...may end up being lowfat calorie countdown!
