Sunabee? Question?

Hi Sunabee,

I'm in my first week of Scarsdale and loving the structure of it. I'm concerned about KT. Did you map out a plan for KT...or just eat? I'm going to need a plan. I already know I won't be doing the one drink a day, and I won't be eating more often than three times a day. That's about as far as I've gotten. But I'm very concerned about not having structure during KT.

Lowcarb was doing me in with overeating fat and protein...even with limiting carbs to less than 20, I'd gain. Maybe it was because I had too many "do-overs," but I would also eat all day!!

On Scarsdale I'm five pounds down (I was pretty sugared up ) and I already feel clean and beautiful. I love how there's no excuses on this plan. I'm hoping to get it all off by Easter. Kind of a "spring fast." I've committed to doing it 100%. No alcohol, no cheating, no substitutions; even.

Thanks so much for your inspiration; I think it isn't so much your weightloss as your attitude. You've been so happy and positive the entire time. Just feeling good.

I deserve to feel good again.

KT the first time is like learning how to walk on stilts or riding a bike for the first time...lol

I remember the first time I was really nervous as to how I would do KT. What I did was keep to the standard three meals, I ate pretty close to the Scarsdale Two Week Losing Phase, although I added in a couple things. I added in milk in my coffee daily, another slice of bread, a little cheese, an extra egg - changes like that. Just enough to mix it up a little.

I was a die hard Atkins/Low Carb Girl befre finding Scarsdale, and I can so relate how you mentioned overeating fat and protein. I didn't "overeat" per se, cram it all in, though I definetely ate more then I needed to. Which is one thing I loved about Scarsdale, there seemed to be this built in portion control and I SO needed that.

What a great time to work on a new you too. *gRiNs*

Thanks Suna.

Still loving this. No hunger lately. I'll admit, I've had to change some lunches around to control my hunger a bit better...I do better on the fish or chicken and salad than on fruit/cottage cheese. I also have to kind of plan out when to eat the fruit and toast...though I love being able to have fruit and toast.

I think the low-cal, low-carb, lower fat is a winning combination. I've never gone into ketosis so fast in my life!!

Good for you for making adjustments to make it work for you.

After low carbing for years fruit and toast seemed SOOOOOOOO good. Amazing isn't it?

The cc and fruit was my favorite and I had that almost every day.

Just made the alternative lunch into a smoothie...used a little vanilla Davincis and some xanthan, and a bit of water....was good..in the bullet.
