Vinegar Dressing

Is there any other kind of dressing we can use on our salads besides something with vinegar in it? I bought Newman's Own Light Balsamic Organic and it does a number on my stomach. It has 4 carbs, 0.5 g sat fat, 2 carbs. I ate regular ranch dressing before cuz it has 2 carbs. The fat free ranch has 0 fats but 6 carbs per 2 Tbsp.

Make your own witn:

Your favorite vegetable oil (olive or light olive is good)

1C/ oil
Juice of one lemon
One clove minced fresh garlic
Salt to taste (sea salt is good)
No need to refrigerate.

Put in jar or container with tight fitting lid. (used dressing bottles work great)
Shake and pour.
This sounds boring and simple but it's delicious!

If there's a certain herb or spice, throw it in in small portions till you get the taste right. HTH

MRL, I dont know exactly how this will fit into Scarsdale (because I'm not super familiar with the plan) .....

I take cottage cheese and put it in the blender, and add a packet of the powdered Ranch dip mix. This makes a yummy dip for veggies. If you want to use it as a salad dressing, you could thin it down with a bit of water.

Made with Kraft Hidden Valley Ranch packet and 4% milkfat cottage cheese.....for two tablespoons of the cottage cheese Ranch, I get 32 calories, 1g fat, 1 g carb,
3 g protein.
