Griffin, my current way of eating is very similar to Weight Watchers, however at this time I am not an active member of their program.
What plan are you considering? They have a couple of options. One you count points values for foods, the other you eat off a specific foods list. |

i looked into it today, i havent had a chance to go over the paperwork, i just got home from work but hte core plan seems very similar to atkins,i mentioned it to the lady and she kinda got a attitude with me and said , i didnt think you got any fruit or veggies, and of course i replied right back. I hate that people are so misinformed , especially someone who teaches stuff,i feel everyone has to do whats good for them not everyone has luck on one thing, i was very surprised how it mirrors atkins on the core, from what i read.just a couple variations, like further on the rung.

right, Core is a higher level of Atkins than the general public ever hear about. So many people are stuck on eggs and meat diets and Atkins "induction" that they really don't understand the carb ladder idea.
Core uses low fat or fat free foods though, which for some people on the higher Atkins ladder rungs and on maintenance that's what helps them keep their calories lower. Common sense eating is crucial no matter what plan we are on. Just because there is no limit of a certain food doesn't mean we can eat our weight in it everyday and not have to think about the consequences. Best wishes to you ... |

Hi gang, I first joined WW in 1970, when I was in 7th grade. Even thought I try the fads, I always go back to WW. I am always looking for a miracle, forgetting that the miracle is to "just do WW". It has never let me down. I now have 50 pounds to lose, was once a lifetime member, but I keep on going back, I just have to committ to it. It's NOT the diet, it's ME and it is an excellent workable program. Good luck to all of you guys, I will lurk and post just like I always do. (HEHEHE)
