Perricone

Just wondering if anyone out there is doing the Perricone diet?

Just started today on the 3 day plan as it was something my 17 year old daughter was interested in. She isn't a pound over weight but was interested in sort of a cleanse and also the benefits for her skin.

I am hoping the "clean" eating will get me started and also the supplements. Did not buy his, got the amounts from his book and bought my own. I have tried the CLA before but never stuck with it long enough to see a difference.

I just can't seem to get started with a true low carb plan these days, I start off fine in the morning or maybe even for a day or two, and then just can't seem to keep it going. Thought this might be a healthy start and having an in house partner will really help.

Ok, just wanted to ask if anyone else might be trying it.

Thanks,

Kaizen

WOE: eating healthy foods
I did this plan last summer and loved all the fresh fruits, veggies, yogurt, and salmon. I did take the supplements (got them from my local vitamin store) and I didn't use any of the skin creams. I lost about five pounds but I didn't see a change in my skin. I love all the foods on his plan, though, so it was pretty easy for me to do it. I'm not sure why I stopped (probably saw another diet book that looked good and jumped plans ) but I do love coffee and it's not allowed on his plan. He made a claim that you'd lose weight just by switching from coffee to green tea but I never saw that happen, either. Good luck--I think it's a solid way of eating but I would only stay with the supplements if you SEE a good improvement in your skin and/or in how you feel.
