M/E question
Is losing only 3-4 pounds a week right? I'm drinking 3-4 litres of diet soda, water, green tea and dieters tea a day. I eat several hard boiled eggs when I'm hungry...
I'm getting tired of eating eggs... I eat canned tuna in water, lean meat, fish, hamburger patties and sausages throughout the week, but wonder am I burning the food intake too slowly? Is there anything I can do to speed the burning process up more? My excercise is cycling 3-4 times per week; about 1-1/2 - 2 hours each time, and I do a lot of walking. Any help and advice would be fantastic! Last edited by Starleena : 06-15-2006 at 10:55 AM. |

You are doing great on M/E. You could cut out the fattier meats like hamburger and sausage and make it more Kimmers Experiment, which is lower in fats and calories than M/E, but I think 3-4 pounds a week is awesome. When you begin M/E or K/E you lose a lot the first week then settle into a steady losing pattern. You loss will not continue as fast as the first week but it will be faster than reg low carb diets.

Wow! Thanks for your quick replies!
Thanks, I thought I wasn't doing to well on the M/E diet.
I know a woman who is on the Dr Bernstien diet plan and seems to be losing 5 pounds a week. Hmmm... give up my sausages and hamburger patties; oh now that's going to be hard! I love sausages and hamburger meat... my other main meat that I eat is skinless chicken. Well, I'll have to cut down my 2 favourite meats to once a week.Again, thankyou! |

I've always lost well while eating hamburger, though I eat lean hamburger (usually sirloin.)
I would try to cut out the diet soda first. Many peoples losses are slowed by diet soda. 3-4 liters is a lot of soda and you are getting 12-16 carbs from just that daily. |

I would suggest cutting down the soda as well. Is your tea, tea you brew, or tea that is premade in a bottle. (e.g. liptons diet green tea)? I think there are some hidden carbs in that.
