I want to be a Kimmer!
Hello!Over the past week, I've been doing my own thing: pretty much low carbing. After I read a lot of the "Ask Kimmer" and the sticky at the top of this board, I found out I had been doing it with all the wrong foods So I decided to do Kimmer's Experiment long term and then maybe switch into Kimkins. Actually following a plan as huge benefits, since many other people are there to help and support you, while doing your own way, you're pretty much left on your own (since no one knows what you're doing). And following a plan you pretty much have garanteed results. I'll start problably Sunday or Monday since I need to do some grocery shopping. What do I need of groceries for K/E? So far I just have all the lean meats Kimmer posted, diet soda, and Crystal Light. That's it, isn't it? Thats pretty much all I can eat... So my goal is to lose 40 in 9 weeks... is that do-able with K/E? Thanks! Oh, and Kimmer, even though I never personally chatted with you, I want you to know that have greatly affected me... your legacy lives on... Please come back! We need you! My Fit Day

Good luck and feel welcome to ask further questions on the "Ask Kimmer" thread so we don't get scattered
. Also....post your weigh-in on the weigh-in thread so we can cheer you on! |

You might add:
Eggs (lots!) Pam spray Milk of Magnesia (liquid or tablet, plain) or similar optional: low carb whey protein drink powder, for quickie breakfasts (Not on the list, but Kimmer said a sufficiently low-carb, low cal brand was fine. I use the big jug Costco carries - 110 cals, 1 carb, 22 gr protein) Wishing you success! Remember, eat when hungry on KE, without regard to calories. When ketosis kicks in, appetite should drop, and quantities will follow. |

Hi - I think you're doing great with getting all prepared. That part is really important to success. How about adding some fish, like salmon, mahi-mahi and other varieties you might enjoy? And some seafood, also. Good luck! |

I just wanted to post here... I did K/E for 5 solid days, and it is not easy.. trust me.. I just want you to be prepared. I got extremely nauseous.. I was hungry for the most part of it... until the last few days... but, to sit down to a piece of chicken was enough to make me vomit. (note... please have on hand some sugar free ginger ale at room temperature to help when the nausea sets in.. )
The way I got through it was with seafood. since I couldn't stomach chicken or beef... I would heat up a little Pam in the fry pan, and put a 1/4 tsp of chopped garlic in.. and then throw in a serving or two of frozen scallops, or shrimp. I also splurged and bought a package of crab... which tasted heavenly.. and got me through. I've also discovered these packages of tuna steaks, that are marinated...you will find them in the canned tuna aisle... and I use those too... they are waterpacked.. and moist.. and very flavorful. Don't put too much stress on yourself.. do it as long as you can.. and if it gets to be too much for you... don't go off and binge... instead, be prepared with fresh lettuce leaves for a salad (which will taste like heaven to you.. ) and also some fresh veggies to steam.... trust me it helps. I also want to say that I also used sugar free jello cups.. and sugar free ice pops. they are only 10 calories.. and minimal carbs. NOT clean... but, they were refreshing. And, just so you know that they didn't harm me... I've lost 12 pounds in 9 days.... good luck, and keep posting here so we can help guide you, and enjoy your success! |
