I did the zone for about 7 months. I even had the meals delivered to my front door. I didn't lose much and I only ate the foods that were sent to me. I switched to Atkins and I'm very happy with the rate of weight loss. I think the food delivery program was such a waste of money and time.

It is best to buy the book as it is a very complicated diet..with
balancing everything at each meal.. LowCarbHoney: I think it is a good maintenance diet, myself.. but according to my measurements, etc..I was supposed to eat 3 blocks of protein..which isn't bad..But the carb amounts were tremendous..if you just did veggies..the fruit would take up alot of carbs, but too much fruit isn't good for insulin reaction, either.. |

I see it as a very easy diet. I lost most of my weight on that
diet before going Atkins then Banta. It is a low fat diet and I seemed to get hungrier because of that. Probably after reaching goal I will go back on that for maintenance. |

I'd always thought it sounded like a lot of work, a lot to keep track of. I haven't read the book, but that was just my assumption from what I had heard of the diet. Measuring portions, food combinations...this percent and that percent...
I think I'd find it too much of a chore. Just my opinion. |

you dont have to go by percents. You go by what they call blocks.
You are allowed a certain number of blocks a day based on your protein needs . 1 block consists of 9 grams of carbs,7 grams of protein and 3 grams of fat. So if you eat 3 or 4 blocks , you just mutiply 3 or 4 times each of those and you eat that much at one meal. There is a website -Zoneperfect.com It tells you everything you need to know for free. |
