The Schwarzbein Principle

Has anyone here heard of this? Some people were discussing this book during lunch yesterday. Have you read it or are you familiar with it? Just curious...

Yes, I have it and I have read it. She basically talks about the downward spiraling of our metabolic system once we are caught in the whirlpool of IR, Diabetes, obesity, hypothyroid, etc.

Since it is a CYCLE you have to CHOOSE a point in which to intervene in order to break the circle. She chooses to break in at the insulin point. It is very interesting, very informative reading. Her SOLUTION to the problem is introduced in one of the final chapters-it is a fairly RESTRICTIVE diet. It was too restrictive to be interesting to me-but others (you?) may be fine with it.

You can go to your local B&N bookstore and read it or I can find my book and try to post some of the menus.

This is the first LC book I read. It's very informative, but the eating plan is too complicated for me.

Thanks for the info. I think I will read it just to see what it is about. A few of the people at lunch talked about it like it was a great book.
