trying to eat healthier....2 questions
Hi guys,
I'm always looking for ways to eat healthier and recently found kelp noodles. I know they are not new, just new to me. Just wondering if anyone eats these and does anyone have a recipe they enjoy. Question 2: I use a lot of cinnamon. Is there a benefit of buying organic spices or is that not necessary? Thanks in advance guys. |

DENMW; If it goes into your body, it is up to you to make the decision if organic is worth it. I would hate to have an all organic diet, and then taint the food with pesticide ridden spices. (just some feedback)
I have never heard of kelp noodles. Do you know how many carbs are in them, and where do you purchase these... anywhere online? |

1 carb, 1 gam. fiber, 6 calories per 4 oz. As we are not allowed to post a site that sells products, I can't post the link but if you google kelp noodles you will find them. |

I read a great artical on organic spices, no clue where though. Basically as far as the spice it's self and health reasons for you, there maybe no reason to buy organic spices over regular spices.
However organic means (usually) more sustainable practice for the earth. And usually better working conditions (fair trade) for the workers. Spices are usually ones that depend on price for me as I eat organic from a more my health (chemicals) aspect then save the earth aspect. |

I use natural & organic herbs & spices. I don't want anything I eat to have chemicals or pesticides in it. I get mine from the local Farmers Market. Some are certified organic, others are not.
Mountain Rose Herbs are sold at my Farmers Market. They have a site that gives a lot of info. I've also discovered some new (to me) kinds of sea salt thanks to Mountain Rose. I'm trying Red Alaea Salt right now. Very good & healthy. ![]() |
