Mouth wash?

What's a reasonable mouthwash or at least breath freshener? Ideally it would contain no artificial sweeteners or sugar.

Tom's of Maine cleansing mouthwash and natural anticavity fluoride mouthwash are available in local stores. Both are sugar and alcohol free. Both use xylitol* though. (*xylitol is toxic to pets, esp. dogs.)

For totally natural, sugar, alcohol and sweetener free mouthwashes and toothpastes you could check out Vitamyr. Ingredients: Zinc, Folic Acid, Clove, Myrrh Oil, Distilled Water

Why shouldn't you try chewing gum?

Hello. Thank you for the all the suggestios. I will give some of those products a try. I didn't have any cloves, but I did have clove oil, so I put a drop in with some water and rinsed that around. It was pretty strong but it worked.

I'm going to try the vitamyr toothpaste I think.

Chewing gum can work if it doesn't contain sugar, acesulfame, aspartame, sucralose, etc. And I see some of the products listed fit that bill so I may give them a try. Thanks.

I just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion. I've been using cloves ever since. It works great. It's like a piece of big red gum but without the sweeteners, chemicals, colorings, and other garbage.

I did end up getting the vitamyr toothpaste too but didn't end up trying it, at least not yet.
