Newbie :)

This is my first day here!

I was wondering if someone could recommend a program etc. that might fit what I'm looking for.

I feel I do eat quite healthy. I eat as much organic foods as are available in my area, and I can afford. We eat only whole grains, lots of lean meats and very minimal processed foods.

I do not want to use substitues that I have seen in some of the low carb books. We raise our own chickens and I want to use real eggs. I don't want to use sugar subtitutes. I use either our own family produced maple syrup, unpasteurized honey, or demera sugar.

We drink goat milk and eat goat milk cheese.

Is there a low carb program that fits these choices?

The book Nourishing Traditions sounds like something that may interest you (you can check it out at your local library for free) but this is not a low carb book. Low carb plans typically don't include a lot of whole grains, maple syrup, honey or sugar (all very high in carbs). I follow Atkins, but eat organic, as much local as possible pastured foods. I use stevia and xylitol for my sweeteners, and very little if any processed foods (every now and again I'll have a shake made with whey powder if I'm crunched for time and need a meal replacement). Welcome by the way!!!

Welcome! What Ang said. You can get low carb breads now that are whole grain/seed. It sounds wonderful, raising your own chickens, making maple syrup! Wow! I do the goat milk/yogurt/cheese too.
