Where do you buy your chia seeds?

I've been looking online and have found some sites selling chia seeds for about half the price of netrition but would like to get some suggestion from those of you who buy chia seeds.

Thanks.

I buy mine from Central Market (local store). I've seen them at the local co-op too.

I buy 24# bulk lots for $6# (T$144) which includes free shipping & packaged in 3# reclosable bags. They also have 55# bulk lots for $5# but that's $275 & they are in one huge bag. They have a long shelf life though.

I eat it almost daily now & go thru a lot of it. I've been "sprouting" it first lately. Leaving it out for almost 24 hours before refrig. Some of it on the sides actually did sprout. Todays batch I've added vitamin C to the water. One batch was left out a lil too long and tasted off, so went back to only a 12 hour on counter, but hope the vitC will let me keep out for 24 hours & get extra benefits.

Hugs!!

I had a jar full sitting out & the ones on the side of the jar sprouted, but that wasn't my intention but got me to wondering if I did a bowl with a thin layer if they would sprout. Chia seeds, like flax seeds create a mucilage gel which I would imagine makes them sprout differently, but I have no clue. You can of course use earthenware (chia pet sprouts are edible)
